Krankenscheine und Arzttermine
Was tun im Krankheitsfall?
1. Einen Helfer mit der Bitte um einen Arzttermin ansprechen.
(Notwendige Informationen: Name, Geburtsdatum, Zimmernummer, Art der Beschwerden)
2. Der Helfer fordert einen Krankenschein an und vereinbart einen Termin.
3. Der Bewohner wird vom Helfer über den Termin (Datum, Uhrzeit, Adresse) informiert.
4. Falls erforderlich kümmert sich der Helfer um eine Begleitung bzw. einen Dolmetscher.
5. Der Bewohner muss den Termin eigenverantwortlich wahrnehmen.
Krankenschein
 Hierbei handelt es sich um ein Dokument, das für die Bezahlung der ärztlichen
Behandlungen benötigt wird.
 Ohne diesen Schein findet keine Behandlung statt oder sie muss vom Bewohner selbst
bezahlt werden.
 Dieser Schein kommt mit der Post und muss bis zum Termin aufbewahrt werden.
 Der Krankenschein muss zum Arzttermin mitgebracht und dort abgegeben werden.
 Pro Quartal und Arzt wird nur ein Krankenschein benötigt.
Ärzte und Arzttermine
 Nur für den Allgemein-, Zahn-, Kinder- und Frauenarzt können Krankenscheine direkt
beantragt werden.
 Für Behandlungen bei Fachärzten (Orthopäde, Neurologe, Dermatologe, Chirurg, Augenarzt,
usw.) muss zunächst ein Termin beim Allgemeinarzt vereinbart werden. Dieser stellt eine
Überweisung zum Facharzt aus, welche vom Landratsamt genehmigt werden muss. Das
kann einige Tage bis Wochen in Anspruch nehmen.
 Arzttermine müssen unbedingt eingehalten werden. Ein unentschuldigtes Zuspätkommen
oder Fernbleiben hat zur Folge, dass es vorerst keinen weiteren Termin gibt.

What to do if I fall ill?
1. Ask an assistant to make an appointment with a doctor (Tell him your name, birth date,
room number, type of disorders).
2. The assistant will request a health insurance certificate and will make an appointment for
you with a doctor.
3. The assistant will tell you the details of the appointment (date, time, location of the doctor).
4. If it is necessary, the assistant will organize a translator or an attendance.
5. Note, that you are responsible to meet your appointment in time. If you arrive late, your
appointment could have been already cancelled.
Health Insurance Certificates
 This is an official document which is necessary for the medical billing purpose between
doctor and the health insurance company.
 Be aware, that without this document the treatment will be denied or you will have to pay
the treatment costs by yourself, which can be very expensive.
 The health insurance document will be sent to you by mail and within an envelope and you
have to preserve this document carefully until you hand it over to the doctor.
 You only need one health insurance document for the same doctor for a time span of 3
months.
Doctor and appointments
 Only for general practitioner, dentist, paediatrician and gynaecologist a health insurance
certificate can directly be requested by the District Office.
 For all other treatments (orthopaedist, neurologist, dermatologist, surgeon, eye specialist,
etc.) you have to have an appointment with the general practitioner first. He will write an
assignment to a specialist, which must be approved by the District Office. Note, that this
process can take several days up to few weeks.
 Note that medical appointments must be strictly adhered to. Any unexcused absence or
coming late has the consequence that there is no other appointment possible for now.
