L’été par monts, vaux et piémont
Im Sommer über Berg und Tal
Summer on the heights, in the valleys and foothills
Fidèles à la tradition des fêtes patronales, les Messtis (jour de la messe) battent leur plein en
été. Ils se déclinent aujourd’hui en corsos fleuris et toutes sortes de manifestations autour
de l’artisanat, des coutumes locales, du folklore : Streisselhochzeit à Seebach en juillet,
Fête des Ménétriers à Ribeauvillé fin de l’été… D’autres reconstitutions renouent avec le
Moyen Age, comme au château du Hohlandsbourg. Un peu partout, spectacles vivants à folle
ambiance, concerts ou festivals plus intimistes offrent un panel de découvertes. Des Vosges
au Rhin, l’Alsace s’anime : fêtes montagnardes et champêtres des vallées vosgiennes, foires
et fêtes du vin le long du vignoble. En plaine d’Alsace, les cœurs historiques ceints de canaux
de Colmar ou Strasbourg vous invitent à la flânerie. Entre ces deux villes, la choucroute fête
sa récolte de fin août à mi-septembre. Les produits du terroir restent incontournables durant
tout l’été !
Im Elsass wird der Brauch der Schutzheiligenfeste gepflegt, die „Messtis“ (Tag der Messe) haben im
Sommer Hochsaison. Blumengeschmückte Festzüge und Veranstaltungen aller Art rund um die Themen
Kunsthandwerk, Trachten und Folklore gehören heute dazu: die Streisselhochzeit in Seebach im Juli, das
Pfeifferfest in Ribeauvillé am Sommerende… Andere lassen das Mittelalter wieder lebendig werden wie
auf der Hohlandsburg. Lebendige Veranstaltungen oder intimistischere Konzerte und Festivals bescheren
zahlreiche Highlights. Von den Vogesen bis zum Rhein ist das Elsass in Bewegung: Bergfeste und Landbälle
in den Vogesentälern, Weinmessen und Winzerfeste entlang des Weinbergs. Die Elsässische Tiefebene
sowie die von Kanälen durchzogenen Altstäde Colmars und Straßburgs laden zum Flanieren ein. Zwischen
diesen beiden Städten feiert man die Sauerkrauternte von Ende August bis Mitte September. Die regionalen
Produkte des Terroirs sind den ganzen Sommer lang ein Genuss !
Faithful to the tradition of local fêtes, “Messtis” (day of mass) are in full flow in summer. Today they take
the form of flower-decked processions and all kinds of events based on crafts, local customs and folklore:
Streisselhochzeit at Seebach in July, Fiddlers’festival at Ribeauvillé at the end of summer… Others hold
medieval reconstitutions, such as those at Hohlandsbourg castle. Everywhere you can find lively events with
a warm atmosphere and even the most intimate concerts and festivals provide a range of discoveries. From
the Vosges to the Rhine, Alsace is alive: mountain and country festivals in the Vosges valleys, fairs and wine
festivals along the wine route. In the plain of Alsace, the historical centres surrounded by canals at Colmar
or Strasbourg invite you to come for a stroll. Between these two towns, the sauerkraut harvest festival runs
from August to mid-September. Regional products are unavoidable throughout the summer !
