HOCHTIEF has started work on a large hotel project in Argentina – construction of the "Park
Hyatt Hotel" in the Andes city of Mendoza. The project, which is being handled by
HOCHTIEF‘s Argentinian subsidiary HOCHTIEF Construcciones S.A., is scheduled for
turney handover in two years time. The contract is worth about 23.3 million euros (DM 45.5
million).
The seven-story building will have 185 rooms and a presidential suite, together with
numerous leisure facilities. The hotel will, for example, have its own shopping mall. The
complex has a total area of almost 28,000 square meters.
The new "Park Hyatt Hotel" is being built on the site where today the "Old Plaza Hotel" still
stands. Its historic facade will be integrated in the new building.
HOCHTIEF Construcciones has been active in Argentina for the past 30 years, specializing
particularly in turnkey building construction. It has some 400 employees. In the last business
year, they completed work worth 29.7 million euros (DM 58.1 million).
