Cologne Fine Art 2013
Press Release No. 3 / Cologne, Oktober 2013 Cologne Fine Art 2013: Top-of-the-range list of galleries and dealerships Imaginative and arresting crossover of styles and epochs • New sponsorship programme for seven ‘Young Dealers’ • High-calibre ‘Works on Paper’ section Cologne Fine Art November 20 - 24, 2013 www.cofaa.de Cologne Fine Art 2013 has finalised its exhibitor list. The Fair is scheduled for 20 to 24 November and will host around 100 exhibitors. They are showcasing a well-balanced, top-quality range of art objects drawn from the Fair’s traditional fields of specialization: old and modern masters, decorative art, design and works on paper. This year’s roster of exhibitors features a strong contingent of returnees and among the newcomers, seven exhibiting in the new ‘Young Dealers’ programme. The generous, open-plan stand architecture and the crossover element that defines the Fair’s specialist profile encourage spectators to engage with work of different styles and epochs and to discover exciting artistic parallels and affinities. A sponsorship programme for ‘Young Dealers’ is a first at this year’s fair. Seven German galleries and dealerships are featuring: Galen (Greven), Kunsthandel von Seckendorff (Bamberg), 401 contemporary (Berlin), Julia Garnatz (Cologne), Kornfeld (Berlin), Galerie Ulf Larsson (Cologne) and Luzán (Berlin). Their specialist fields are Old Masters, 20th-century art, decorative art, fine furniture and sculpture. The new programme offers attractive rates tailored to young galleries and dealers to help them exhibit at Cologne Fine Art. Koelnmesse and the Bundesverband Deutscher Galerien und Kunsthändler (BVDG) are sponsoring the new initiative and see it as a contribution to the long-term sustainability of the art market. In 2011, Cologne Fine Art introduced a special section titled ‘Works on Paper’. The section has its own catalogue. Exhibits range from Old Master prints and drawings to contemporary works.
