Situated on the second floor of one of the traditional Ligurian houses, this flat enjoys an attractive location in one
of the quiet side streets, not far from the piazza. It offers 54 qm well proportioned living space arranged on one
floor level. From the entrance hall to the right, a small corridor leads to the living room with kitchen and the shower
room. To the left follows one bedroom with one more adjacent room (possibly to be used as bedroom yet without
windows) and the guest bedroom. From the bedroom, stunning views over the surrounding hills and the river delta
can be enjoyed.
The flat was renovated in 2005 and has been used as an occasional holiday home ever since. Throughout the
flat, the traditional style featuring typically Ligurian flooring, wooden windows and built in cupboards has been
maintained. A gas fired oven in the hall keeps the flat pleasantly warm and an electric boiler provides hot water. A
hatch in the bathroom ceiling gives access to the attic, which could be converted into further living space. Another
option could be to create a roof terrace.
Apricale is a romantic and peaceful mountain village, surrounded by olive groves and woodland. The village has a
number of restaurants serving excellent Ligurian cuisine to choose form as well as a number of bars, a food shop,
a pharmacy and a post office. Cultural activities are scheduled throughout the year, culminating in the theater
festival, which takes place in the month of August. Despite its rural setting, Apricale is only some 25 minutes away
from the lively coastal resorts of Bordighera and Ventimiglia. Sanremo, the French coastal towns of Menton, Nice
and Monaco's Monte Carlo are roughly 1 hour's drive away.
