Mit diesem Versprechen eröffnete der Kaufmann Lars Larsen
1979 seinen ersten Lagerverkauf für Matratzen und Bettwaren
im dänischen Aarhus.
This was the promise made by the businessman Lars Larsen in
1979 when he opened his first warehouse sale for mattresses
and bedding in the Danish town of Aarhus.
Das Konzept des Firmengründers Larsen war etwas ganz Neues:
Der Verkauf von Betten, Matratzen und Oberbetten ohne Großund Zwischenhändler – direkt vom Hersteller an den Endkunden.
Founder Larsen’s concept was something totally new: selling
beds, mattresses and bedspreads without wholesalers or distributors – directly from the manufacturer to the consumer.
Lars Larsen schuf mit seinen weltweiten JYSK-Filialen sowie dem
Dänischen Bettenlager in Deutschland und Österreich ein erfolgreich agierendes Einzelhandelsunternehmen.

Die Bettenwelt GmbH & Co. KG wurde 1995 als eigenständiges
Logistik-Unternehmen für das Dänische Bettenlager gegründet.
Bettenwelt GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1995 as an independent logistics enterprise for Dänisches Bettenlager.
Unsere Logistikzentren in Homberg/Efze und Zarrentin gehören
zu den größten und modernsten in Europa. Nach Beendigung
der Erweiterungsmaßnahmen wird unser Logistikzentrum
Zarrentin eine Lagerfläche von annähernd 48.000 m² haben
und bis zu 128.000 Europaletten Platz bieten. Unser zweites
Logistikzentrum Homberg/Efze verfügt über eine Lagerfläche
von 49.000 m² sowie 154.000 Palettenplätze.
Our centres of distribution in Homberg/Efze and Zarrentin are
some of the largest and most modern in Europe. Once the
additions to our building complex in Zarrentin are completed,
its storage capacity will comprise some 48,000 sqm and offer
scope for up to 128,000 euro pallets. Our other site in
Homberg/Efze offers 49,000 sqm storage space and accomodates 154,000 pallets.

Development
JYSK Nordic und Dänisches Bettenlager bilden einen international expandierenden Konzern mit derzeit rund 1.700 Filialen in
34 Ländern und mehr als 15.000 Beschäftigten. Bis 2012 sollen
über 2.000 Filialen am Netz sein – die Zahl der Mitarbeiter wird
dann auf ca. 18.000 anwachsen.
JYSK Nordic and Dänisches Bettenlager form an internationally
expanding corporate group which currently has about 1,700
branches in 34 countries and over 15,000 employees. By 2012
there should be over 2,000 branches in operation – the number
of employees will then rise to approx. 18,000.

Konzernverbund mit der dänischen Schwestergesellschaft JYSK
Nordic eingekauft. Dadurch ergibt sich eine Einkaufsmacht von
über 1.700 Filialen weltweit. So können wir noch effizienter
arbeiten, Qualitätsstandards besser durchsetzen, riesige

planning of space, every branch offers a full range of living
room and bedroom products with up to 4,000 items. Most of
this range can be purchased and taken away immediately –
there are no long delivery periods!

Unser neues Shopkonzept
Our new design concept
Dazu gehört neben einem neuen Beleuchtungs- und
Deckenkonzept die Strukturierung der Warenwelt. Es gibt eine
klare Kundenführung – Licht und Farbe sowie unterschiedliche,
hochwertige Fußbodenbeläge sorgen für deutlich mehr
Übersichtlichkeit. Durch die Neugestaltung sowie die
Verwendung ausgesuchter Materialen wird ein moderneres,
großzügigeres und atmosphärisches Ladenbild geschaffen.
Dafür investiert das Dänische Bettenlager in den kommenden
Jahren rund 150 Millionen Euro.
Bis Ende des Geschäftsjahres 2013 wird der Großteil unserer
Filialen in Deutschland, Österreich, der Schweiz und Frankreich
nach unserem neuen Shopkonzept umgestellt sein.
Nach umfassenden Umbauten präsentiert Europas große Bettenund Einrichtungskette bereits heute eine Vielzahl seiner Filialen
im Stil des neuen Einrichtungskonzepts – sehen Sie selbst.
This involves a new lighting and ceiling concept, along with
structuring our range. Customers are clearly guided through
the branch using light, colour and different, high-quality flooring, which significantly improves the clarity of the arrangement. This new design and the use of specially selected materials creates a more modern, generous and atmospheric
impression of the shop. Dänisches Bettenlager will invest
around 150 million euros in shop design over the coming years.
By the end of the fiscal year 2013 the bulk of our branches in
Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France will be converted
according to our new design concept.
