Einsatzbereich auf speziellen Damenleisten gefertigt,
welche etwas schmäler

auch in den Proportionen
von Herrenleisten unterscheiden. Außerdem sind
bei den Damenmodellen
die Stiefelschäfte niedriger
geschnitten und die Fersensprengung ist etwas höher
angelegt.

Neuheiten in allen Bereichen
Trek
Ab dem Sommer 2015 beweisen wir erneut unsere Kompetenz im ALPIN-Bereich und
präsentieren gleich zwei neue Modelle für (hoch)alpine Unternehmungen – erstmals in
unserer Kollektion mit integrierter Gamasche (s. Seite 4).
Auch sonst blieben wir natürlich nicht tatenlos: Wir haben eine Lösung entwickelt, wie wir
unsere erfolgreichen Bunion-Modelle mit einem wasserdichten GORE-TEX® Futter ausstatten können, ohne an Komfort zu verlieren (s. Seite 6 – 7). Wir nutzen erstmals die GORE-TEX®
Surround™ Technologie (s. Seite 6 – 7) für eine erhöhte Atmungsaktivität. Sie kommt bei
zwei unserer neuen Modelle zum Einsatz: einem Halbschuh und dessen höher geschnittenem Pendant.

Auch bewährte Features wie unser komfortabler StraightFit Leisten (z. B. Lamedo Low GTX®),
G-1000® (z. B. Tudela Light GTX®) und Yak-Leder (z. B. Burang) finden sich in den neuen
Modellen wieder. Außerdem haben wir einige bestehende Schuhe überarbeitet und unsere
Accessoires-Linie ausgebaut, um noch bessere Performance und Service anbieten zu können.
Neue Modelle mit integrierter Gamasche
Die Modelle im Überblick:
In diesem Sommer erweitern wir unsere
Kollektion um drei Modelle mit integrierter
Gamasche für noch mehr Schutz bei schlechtem Wetter und kalten Temperaturen. Die
Gamaschen sind jeweils fest mit dem Schuh
verbunden. Sie bestehen aus einem robusten, scheuerfesten Textilgewebe, kombiniert
mit einem zuverlässig wasserdichten und
atmungsaktiven GORE-TEX® Laminat. Ein
weicher, per Kordelzug individuell anpassbarer Schaftabschluss aus Neopren schließt
komfortabel an der Wade ab.

Our Summer 2015 collection introduces
three new models with integrated gaiters
for additional protection in bad weather and
colder temperatures. The fixed gaiters are
permanently attached to the uppers and are
made of a tough, abrasion-resistant, waterproof fabric. They have a soft, comfortable
neoprene cuff with drawcord-adjustment for
a perfect fit.

accessories to ensure optimum performance and better service.

We have also been busy in other areas – for example we have found a way to give our popular
Bunion models a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® lining without sacrificing comfort (see
page 6 – 7). And we are delighted to introduce GORE-TEX® Surround™ technology (see page
6 – 7) for enhanced climate comfort. It is deployed on one of our new low cut models and its
mid cut counterpart..

men ein besonders atmungsaktives Fußbett
und eine spezielle Einlage, der sogenannte
„Spacer“, ein spezielles Gewirk mit Wabenstruktur. In Kombination mit der offenen
Schaftkonstruktion entsteht eine Ventilation an den Seiten und unter der Fußsohle,
sozusagen eine 360° Atmungsaktivität. Die
feuchte Luft gelangt durch die spezielle
Einlegesohle und die GORE-TEX® Membran
in den Spacer nach unten und anschließend
nach außen.
Hallux-Modelle mit GORE-TEX® – besondere Konstruktion im Ballenbereich der Großzehe
Als wir 2013 den ersten Wanderstiefel für
Menschen mit Hallux Valgus (Schiefstand
der Großzehe) vorstellten, konnten wir
noch nicht wissen, wie viel Erfolg wir mit
diesem Konzept haben werden. Es folgten
zwei weitere Sommermodelle und ein Wintermodell mit unserem eigens entwickelten
Bunion-Leisten, der ausreichend Platz für
das Großzehengrundgelenk bietet.
Bisher hatten all diese „Hallux-Schuhe“ ein
komfortables Lederfutter, das sich weich
und faltenfrei an den Fuß anschmiegt. Am
schmerzempfindlichen Großzehengrundgelenk setzen wir ein besonders weiches
Stück des Naturmaterials ein. So können
wir eventuelle Druckgefühle auf diese
schmerzempfindliche Stelle vermeiden.
Allerdings hat Leder den kleinen Nachteil,
dass es nicht zu 100 % wasserdicht ist.
Damit aber auch die Wanderer mit Hallux
Valgus nicht auf einen zuverlässig wasserdichten Schuh verzichten müssen, haben
wir intensiv entwickelt. Dank einer besonderen Konstruktion können wir zukünftig
auch Bunion-Modelle mit GORE-TEX® Futter
anbieten, ohne die Gefahr von Druckstellen
und Scheuern einzugehen.
Dafür setzen wir im Ballenbereich ein Stück
besonderes Gore-Laminat ein, das in alle
Richtungen dehnbar ist. Es wird, wie beim
GORE-TEX® Futter üblich, verschweißt und
ist garantiert wasserdicht.
As with all GORE-TEX® footwear, they are
durably waterproof. Additionally, these
models have a special breathable footbed and
a layer, named spacer, which allows breathability under the sole. This and the open upper
construction allow ventilation both at the
sides and under the sole, that is to say a 360°
breathability.

Warm, moist air escapes via the special footbed and the GORE-TEX® membrane in the
spacer, and from the spacer outside the shoe.

Bunion models with GORE-TEX® – new special construction at the big toe area
Until now, all our bunion models have had
a soft and comfortable wrinkle-free leather
lining, which moulds to the shape of the foot.
At the particularly sensitive big toe joint, we
use especially soft leather. This prevents any
pressure or rubbing. However, leather has one
small disadvantage – it is not 100% waterproof.
In order to give hikers with bunions a fully
waterproof boot, we went back to the drawing board. As a result, we now offer bunion
models with a GORE-TEX® lining. They have
an innovative construction that prevents
pressure points or rubbing.
This is made possible by fitting a piece of special 4-way stretch GORE-TEX® fabric at the
big toe joint. As with all GORE-TEX® linings, it
has sealed seams and is durably waterproof.

When we introduced the first hiking boots
for people with bunions (Hallux Valgus) back
in 2013, we had no idea how popular and
successful they would become. As a result,
we developed two additional summer models
and a winter version using our own specially
developed bunion last, which provides extra
space for the big-toe joint.

As with all GORE-TEX® footwear, they are durably waterproof. Additionally, these
models have a special breathable footbed and a layer, called a spacer, which allows
breathability under the sole. This and the open upper construction allow ventilation both at the sides and under the sole, that is to say a 360° breathability.

• V ery slightly alters the surface of suede, nubuck leather and other
kinds of leather (makes it slightly darker)
• Highly water, oil and stain resistant
• Does not alter the surface of suede, nubuck leather and other kinds of
leather
• Innovative two-compartment aerosol – sprays without any propellants
• Does not contain PFOAs or PFCs
• Nourishes and impregnates leather with a deep-penetration effect
• Water repellent
• Solvent free
• Very light for a wax – easy to apply
• All packaging made of recycled PET and recycled materials
Directions for use
• S hake bottle well before use, apply a thin even coat using the integrated
sponge.
• F or best results, apply directly after cleaning, while leather is still damp
• Allow to soak in for at least 12 hours
• Apply regularly
• Shake bottle well before use, ensure leather is clean and dry, spray
from 20 to 30 cm, applying a thin even coat
• Spray the laces too
• Allow to dry for 12–24 hours
• Apply regularly
• Apply wax to clean, dry leather with a soft brush, sponge, cloth or fingers
• For highly absorbent leather, repeat the procedure
• Allow to saturate for 12 hours
• Remove any surplus wax
• Polish as required
• Tip: better to apply little and often
• Do not warm up footwear first (as often recommended). Under no
circumstances should you put your boots in the oven.
Please note
• Leather may darken slightly /colours often appear more vibrant
• N ubuck and suede is left slightly smoother; use a suede brush to
roughen up, if desired
• Using too much may leave a whitish film on the leather, this can be
easily removed using a damp cloth
• Very good for impregnation, but does not nourish the leather
• Suede and nubuck will become slightly greasy and darker

Leisten eignet sich für all jene,
denen ein normal geschnittener
Schuh üblicherweise zu weit ist.
Unseren Bestseller Tatra schustern wir (mit Leder- und GORETEX® Futter) zusätzlich über
diesen schmalen Leisten.

Bunion-Leisten: Viele Menschen
– vor allem Frauen, aber auch
viele Boulderer und Sportkletterer – leiden unter einem Schiefstand der Großzehe (Hallux
Valgus) und einer Versteifung
des Großzehengrundgelenks.
Bei drei Modellen verwenden
wir deshalb den bisher einmaligen Bunion-Leisten. Er bietet
viel mehr Platz für das Großzehengrundgelenk.
StraightFit-Leisten: Er basiert
auf dem Trekking-Leisten, erlaubt aber eine Geradestellung
der Großzehe und bietet den
Zehen insgesamt sehr viel Platz.
Wir statten drei Modelle unserer
bequemen Trail & Travel-Linie
und unsere drei Bio-Modelle mit
StraightFit aus.
First up, it naturally needs to
be specific to either men’s or
women’s feet. We shape our
lasts according to the type of
footwear they are to be used
for (e.g. greater emphasis on
comfort for our Trek and Trek
Light models, narrower = greater
climbing precision for our Rock
models). In addition, we also
have lasts for people, whose feet
are not a standard shape or size.
These are our special lasts:
Wide Last: Our wide last has
a standard heel section, but is
wider at the forefoot and ball of
the foot. Our wide models are for
people who find standard models
too narrow. From Summer 2013
we have ten different models
with a wide last.
Narrow Last: Our new narrow
last is designed for those of you
who find normal models too
wide. We also make our best-selling Tatra (leather and GORE-TEX®
lining) using this narrow last.

mainly women, but also boulderers and sport climbers – suffer
from bunions and stiffness of
the big toe joint. We make three

Last, but provides more space for

Darauf stimmen wir nicht nur die Sohlensteifigkeit ab, sondern eine Reihe
weiterer Parameter: die Beweglichkeit des Schafts im Fußgelenk (seitwärts
und in Längsrichtung), die Sprengung (= die Differenz der Standhöhe unter

HANWAG CATEGORIES
The standard A, B, C and D categorisation for hiking and mountaineering footwear is a useful starting point to select the right boots or shoes. However, it only
informs you about the stiffness/flex of the sole.
We organise our footwear according to following areas of activity: Trail & Travel,
Trek Light, Trek, Rock and Alpin. This takes into account not only sole stiffness,
but also a range of other factors including flexibility at the ankle (lateral and
longitudinal), heel pitch (= the difference in height between the last at the heel
and the ball of the foot), toe spring (= the height of the last at the centre of the
toe where it curves up from the ground), the last itself and the materials used.
Experiences and fitness are also important factors: some people prefer sturdy,
lightweight shoes, while others are better off in mountain boots.

Richtlinien arbeiten.
Gezwickte Machart: Alle HANWAG-Schuhe werden „gezwickt“,
