The meeting of historic and modern architecture so typical for the MuseumsQuartier is
especially pronounced in Arena21. Situated
in the imperial Fischer von Erlach Wing,
Arena21 is a modern, stylishly designed event
space in a baroque atmosphere.
With 275 square meters of floor space, it
is ideally suited for events with up to
350 people. Arena21 is a visually appealing
space with a light sandstone floor and
a color coordinated, acoustically optimized
ceiling. Excellent acoustics and the latest
technical equipment make Arena21 particularly interesting for events with a multimedia
focus. Arena21 can be combined with the
adjacent Ovalhalle to form an event location
with more than 700 square meters of floor
space to accommodate up to 700 people.
The connecting room to the Ovalhalle can
also be used as a representative reception
area with a cloakroom. A separate catering
kitchen is also available.

The oval-shaped room, once used to house the
emperor’s most exquisite horses, is one of the most
popular and versatile event locations at the
MuseumsQuartier due to its unusual layout.
Featuring four striking pillars supporting the baroque
vaulted ceiling, the Ovalhalle is an exquisite
setting for gala dinners, cocktail receptions, press
conferences, presentations, and exhibitions. It
can accommodate up to 360 people. The hall has
projection walls on either side and can be configured
as a stage situation for lectures, press conferences,
and presentations.
For larger events, a combination with the adjacent

The Baroque Suites on the first upper level of
the MQ ideally complement the Ovalhalle
and Arena21 event spaces on the ground floor
of the Fischer von Erlach Wing.
They offer a spectacular view across the Natural
History and Art History Museums to the Inner
City with the Hofburg Palace and St. Stephen’s
Cathedral. The historic ceiling and wall
paintings in Suites B and C were discovered
during renovation and then restored. All rooms
have inlaid parquet floors.
The Baroque Suites are accessed through a
lounge that can also be used during breaks.
The suites are ideal for lectures, conferences,
and workshops as well as exclusive gala dinners
and cocktail receptions.
The rooms can be rented individually or
together. When combined, the three Baroque
Suites can accommodate up to 100 people in
a total of 200 square meters of space.

Die Barocken Suiten im ersten Oberge­schoß des MQ bilden
Die Barocken Suiten sind über eine Lounge zugänglich, die
eine perfekte Ergänzung zu den Veran­stal­tungsräumen
unter anderem für Pausen genutzt werden kann. Sie eignen
­Ovalhalle und Arena21 im Erdgeschoß des Fischer-von-Erlach
sich ideal für Vorträge, Konferenzen und Workshops, sowie
