Sentier de l’olivier
Il sentiero dell’Olivo che si snoda tra Gandria e Castagnola attraversa una zona dove anticamente esistevano oliveti che L’Associazione
Amici dell’olivo e il Fondo SNAG, sostenuti dal Fondo svizzero del
paesaggio e dalla Città di Lugano, stanno da qualche anno ripristinando. Molte e intense le emozioni che si vivono passeggiando ai
bordi degli oliveti sperimentali così come lungo il sentiero che dopo
Gandria costeggia il lago fino a Castagnola.
Un angolo di microclima mediterraneo a sud delle Alpi da godere in
tutte le stagioni.
Der Weg führt von Gandria nach Castagnola durch ehemalige Olivenhaine, die seit einigen Jahren vom Verein Freunde des Olivenbaums
und dem Fonds SNAG (Fond für den naturalistischen und archäologischen Standort Gandria) unter Mithilfe des Landschaftsfonds
Schweiz und der Stadt Lugano wieder aufbereitet werden. Die Wanderung entlang der Experimentierhaine und an den Ufern des Luganersees bis Castagnola ist von zahlreichen intensiven Eindrücken
geprägt.
Ein mediterranes Mikroklima südlich der Alpen, das zu jeder Jahreszeit etwas zu bieten hat.
Le sentier de l’olivier qui se déroule entre Gandria et Castagnola traverse une zone qui, autrefois abritait des oliveraies que l’Association
Amici dell’olivo et le Fonds SNAG, soutenus par le Fonds suisse du
paysage et de la ville de Lugano, sont depuis quelques années en
train de réimplanter. Les émotions que l’on éprouve en se promenant
le long des oliveraies ainsi que le long du sentier qui après Gandria
côtoie le lac jusqu’à Castagnola, sont multiples et intenses.
Un coin au sud des Alpes, au microclimat méditerranéen, à apprécier
à toutes les saisons.
Olive tree path
The olive tree path, unwinding between Gandria and Castagnola passes through an area where in ancient times, olive groves were planted
and which in the last few years the Friends of the Olive Tree Association and the SNAG fund, also supported by the Swiss Landscape
Fund and by the City of Lugano, have been trying to recover. We are
moved by the landscape that confronts us, as we walk near the experimental olive groves, as well as along the path that after Gandria runs
along the lakeshore up to Castagnola.
This small corner features a Mediterranean microclimate that is to be
enjoyed in all seasons.

Sentier du châtaignier
Sentiero tematico che si snoda nel bosco, alla scoperta della terra
dei castagni. Oltre ad evidenziare le selve, la coltivazione e l’albero
di castagno, il percorso ci accompagna attraverso un ambiente e
un paesaggio gradevoli e armonici dove la natura emerge nella sua
ampiezza. Il tracciato offre alcuni punti panoramici e la possibilità di
ammirare le particolarità architettoniche dei caratteristici villaggi uniti
tra loro da questo singolare tragitto. L’itinerario prevede alcuni punti
didattici segnati semplicemente sul terreno e ampiamente illustrati in
un prospetto a parte. Sentiero percorribile pure solo su brevi tratti.
Ein thematischer Wanderweg auf dem Sie das Gebiet und Wissenswertes über den Anbau des Kastanienbaums und die Kastanienwälder erfahren. Der Weg führt durch eine bezaubernde, harmonische Landschaft, in der die Natur Ihren ganzen Reichtum entfaltet.
Unterwegs gelangen Sie an einige Aussichtspunkte von denen Sie
die architektonischen Besonderheiten der charakteristischen Dörfer,
die dieser einzigartige Wanderweg verbindet, bewundern können.
Auf dem Pfad befinden sich verschiedene markierte didaktische Stellen. Die Route kann abgekürzt werden.
Un sentier thématique qui serpente dans les bois à la découverte de
la terre des châtaigniers! Un itinéraire qui met les sens en éveil tout
en initiant le visiteur à la châtaigne; la forêt, l’exploitation et le châtaignier. Le parcours nous accompagne à travers un environnement et
un paysage agréables et harmonieux, où la nature déploie toutes ses
splendeurs. La promenade offre de nombreux points de vue panoramique et la possibilité d’admirer l’architecture particulière des villages
pittoresques reliés par ce parcours unique. Le trajet présente plusieurs points didactiques marqués simplement sur le terrain et bien
expliqués dans un prospectus particulier. Il est aussi possible de parcourir le sentier en petites étapes.
Chestnut Tree Trail
This thematic trail winds through the woods and explores the land of
chestnut trees! Besides revealing woods, crops, chestnut trees, the
trail accompanies us through pleasant surroundings and a harmonious landscape where nature stands out in all its splendour.
The itinerary offers us several panoramic spots and the possibility of
admiring the architectural details of certain picturesque villages that
this very special excursion joins together. Several didactic points, simply marked on the ground and amply illustrated in a separate brochure, may be found along the way. You can even cover just short legs
of this trail.

collezione di fiori e piante! Affinché la vostra visita non sia dispersiva,
data la moltitudine di sentieri (ca. 7 km), vi sono 5 percorsi tematici
(botanico, artistico, panoramico, relax e fiaba) che vi permetteranno
di scoprire gli angoli più suggestivi. I sentieri propongono svariati temi
che vi faranno riscoprire il parco sotto diversi aspetti che si rinnovano
con ritmi stagionali. Sta a voi scegliere il percorso più idoneo seguendo il corrispondente simbolo colorato. Area di gioco completamente
rinnovata nel 2012.
Auf den 62’000 m2 Gesamtfläche des Parks gedeiht eine umfassende und vielseitige Sammlung von Blumen und Pflanzen! Um Ihren Rundgang rationell gestalten zu können stehen angesichts des
verzweigten Wegnetzes (insgesamt ca. 7 km) fünf Themenwege zur
Verfügung (Botanik, Kunst, Panorama, Relax und Märchen), die Sie
in die schönsten Ecken des Parks führen. Je nach Thema entdecken
Sie den Park unter verschiedenen Aspekten die sich je nach Jahreszeit wiederum verändern. Wählen Sie Ihren Weg und folgen Sie
den entsprechenden Farbwegweisern. Spielplatz im Jahr 2012 komplett renoviert.
Le parc, avec ses 62’000 m2, renferme une grande collection de
plantes et de fleurs variées! Afin que votre visite ne soit pas dispersive,
étant donné la multitude de sentiers (env. 7 km), 5 parcours thématiques (botanique, artistique, panoramique, relax et fable) sont proposés pour vous permettre de découvrir les endroits les plus suggestifs.
Les sentiers proposent différents thèmes qui vous font découvrir le
parc sous différents aspects qui se renouvellent au rythme des saisons. A vous de choisir le parcours qui vous convient le mieux en
suivant le symbole coloré correspondant. Aire je jeux entièrement
rénové en 2012.
San Grato Park
The whole Park, with its 62’000 sq. m. has a very varied collection
of flowers and plants. So that you don’t waste time, given the many
paths (about 7 km) that there are to chose from, 5 thematic paths
have been organized (botanical, artistic, panoramic, relax and fairy
tale) that allow you to discover the park’s most suggestive corners.
The paths, proposing different themes, will let you rediscover the park
from different points of view that renew themselves with the changing
seasons. It’s up to you to choose your favourite path by following
the corresponding coloured sign. Playground completely renovated
in 2012.

Entre ciel et terre
Un approccio alla natura che permette di osservare il suo ecosistema
e capire la sua evoluzione. Lungo il percorso che discende la montagna ci si imbatte in specie tipiche di boschi naturali e specie introdotte, si ha inoltre la possibilità di valutare l’evoluzione del paesaggio.
Il museo del boscaiolo e altre costruzioni arricchiscono questo itinerario. Cammino che parte idealmente dal Monte Lema, fra le più
ammirevoli vette panoramiche del Ticino, dal quale si approfitta di un
imponente scenario e che costituisce un’importante oasi naturalistica. Una moderna funivia porta in vetta in soli 10 minuti.
Diese Route bietet die Möglichkeit, das Ökosystem zu beobachten
und mehr über seine Entwicklung zu erfahren. Entlang der Route,
die den Berg hinab führt, begegnen Sie Beständen von typischen
Naturwäldern sowie von Spezies, die aus anderen Lebensräumen
eingeführt wurden. Darüber hinaus können Sie die Entwicklungsgeschichte der Landschaft verfolgen. Das Holzfällermuseum und weitere Einrichtungen bereichern diese Route. Die Wanderung beginnt
idealerweise am Monte Lema, einer wichtigen Naturoase in der atemberaubenden Gebirgslandschaft des Tessins, von wo aus man ein
eindrucksvolles Panorama geniessen kann. Mit einer modernen Seilbahn gelangen Sie in nur 10 Minuten zum Gipfel.
Une approche de la nature qui permet d’observer son écosystème et
de comprendre son évolution. Le parcours qui descend la montagne
permet de découvrir des espèces types de forêts naturelles et des
espèces introduites, et d’évaluer l’évolution du paysage. Le musée
du bûcheron et autres constructions viennent enrichir cet itinéraire.
Ce trajet part du Monte Lema. C’est un point de départ idéal. Cette
cime est une des cimes panoramiques les plus admirées du Tessin,
c’est à la fois un décor imposant et une importante oasis naturelle.
Un téléphérique moderne conduit à la cime en 10 minutes seulement.
Between sky and earth
This is a way of approaching nature that permits one to observe its
ecosystem and understand its evolution. Along the way down the
mountain, one encounters typical species of natural woods and
species that have been introduced and it’s possible to see how the
landscape has evolved. A lumberjack’s museum and other buildings
make this itinerary even more worthwhile. Ideally, this walk departs
from Mount Lema, one of the most extraordinary scenic peaks in Ticino, from which you can really take in an imposing view and which
constitutes an important natural oasis. A modern cableway brings
you to the top in ten minutes.

ACQUA - FUOCO – CIELO – TERRA
Un territorio di particolare bellezza, significative testimonianze del
passato, un notevole patrimonio storico e artistico, una natura da riscoprire.
Una comoda escursione, un piacevole stimolo a riflettere sulla delicatezza e complessità dei legami fra tutti gli esseri viventi e sul ruolo di
ognuno di noi nel modificare i fragili equilibri ambientali in cui siamo
immersi. Il confronto fra passato e presente, che si mostra ad ogni
passo del percorso, faciliterà questa presa di coscienza. Il sentiero è
suddiviso in tre tracciati e può essere percorso parzialmente.
WASSER - FEUER - HIMMEL - ERDE
Eine Landschaft von besonderer Schönheit, bedeutende Zeugnisse
der Vergangenheit, bemerkenswerte historische und künstlerische
Kulturgüter, eine Natur, die es neu zu entdecken gilt.
Ein gemütlicher Spaziergang, der zum Nachdenken anregt über die
delikaten und komplexen Beziehungen zwischen den Lebewesen
dieser Welt und über die Rolle, die wir Menschen in der Veränderung
des fragilen Gleichgewichts unserer Umwelt spielen. Die ständige
Gegenüberstellung von Vergangenheit und Gegenwart macht dem
Spaziergänger diese Bewusstwerdung leichter. Der Weg ist in drei

patrimoine historique et artistique de valeur, une nature à redécouvrir.
Une promenade tranquille, une incitation agréable à réfléchir sur la
fragilité et la complexité des liens qui existent entre tous les êtres vivants et sur le rôle que chacun d’entre nous joue dans la modification des équilibres environnementaux fragiles qui nous entourent. La
comparaison entre passé et présent, que l’on voit à chaque pas du
parcours, facilitera cette prise de conscience. Le sentier est subdivisé
en trois circuits et peut donc n’être parcouru que partiellement.

This territory has much to offer: stunning landscapes, remains of the
remote past, a remarkable historical and artistic heritage and nature
to be re-discovered. All this stimulates the visitor to meditating about
the delicacy and the complexity of the relationships among all living
beings and of the role of each one of us in changing the fragile environmental balances in which we live. The comparison between past
and present, that becomes evident at every step of the path, will make
this awareness clearer. The trail is divided into three circuits and may
therefore be covered even only in part.

Con questo sentiero tematico vogliamo dare a tutti l’opportunità di

passato hanno permesso di sopravvivere e, come per le miniere, di
sperare in qualche cosa di più. Un momento per riflettere ed apprezzare di volta in volta l’ingegnosità dell’uomo e la bellezza di certi ambienti naturali. Testimonianze a disposizione di chi non si limita ad uno
sguardo veloce o ad un pensiero superficiale. Tutta l’escursione si
svolge nel bosco.
Während dieses Ausfluges werden Sie alte Mauern, Mühlen, Schlösser, Öfen und Bergwerke entdecken. Auf diesem Themenweg haben
Sie die Gelegenheit zum Verweilen und Betrachten dieser einfachen
Dinge, die in der Vergangenheit das Ueberleben ermöglichten. Wenige Augenblicke der Überlegung genügen um den Einfallsreichtum
des Menschen und die Schönheit der natürlichen Umgebung zu würdigen. Die ganze Route führt durch den Wald.
Un parcours qui nous guide à la découverte de murs de pierres
sèches, moulins, marteaux-pilons, ruines de châteaux, fours et mines. Avec ce sentier thématique, nous aimerions offrir à chacun la
possibilité de s’arrêter un moment pour observer ces simples choses
qui ont permis à nos ancêtres de survivre et, comme ce fut le cas
pour les mines, d’espérer en un avenir meilleur. Un moment pour une
réflexion et pour apprécier petit à petit l’ingéniosité de l’homme et la
beauté de certains sites naturels. Des témoignages à disposition des
personnes qui ne se contentent pas de jeter un regard rapide et une
pensée superficielle. Toute l’excursion se déroule dans la forêt.

I percorsi di “Una giornata in Capriasca” sono un’occasione per riscoprire il paesaggio naturale, il suo mondo animale e vegetale, le
sue radici storico-culturali e i diversi contesti di vita e di lavoro dei suoi
abitanti. I percorsi si suddividono in 3 distinti tragitti:
Il primo percorso attraversa i villaggi, le campagne e le selve: ambienti
che mostrano i segni del processo di trasformazione. Qui l’uomo modella il territorio e modifica la vegetazione secondo i propri bisogni. Il
percorso raggiunge i 5,8 km di lunghezza. Il secondo, lungo 3 km, si
sviluppa invece nei boschi, dove prevale la natura. Il terzo comprende
due punti panoramici, uno rivolto verso nord e l’altro a sud. In questi
luoghi il corpo e lo spirito possono trovare un po’ di pace. Qui è possibile riflettere sul rapporto che avevamo e continuiamo ad avere con
la natura e con il mondo. 2,2 km di lunghezza.
Auf diesen Wegen kann man Natur und Landschaft der Region neu
entdecken: ihre Tiere und Pflanzen, ihre Geschichte und Kultur sowie
die Lebens- und Arbeitsweise ihrer Bewohner. Drei mögliche Spaziergänge: Der erste Weg führt durch Dörfer, Felder und Kastanienwälder und macht die Veränderungsprozesse deutlich, die hier überall
im Gang sind. Der Mensch formt die Landschaft und verändert die
Vegetation, um sie seinen Bedürfnissen anzupassen. Länge: ca. 5,8
km. Der zweite Weg ist nur rund 3 km lang und führt ausschliesslich
durch den Wald. Der Dritte Weg umfasst zwei Aussichtspunkte, wovon der eine nach Norden und der andere nach Süden gerichtet ist.
Beides sind Orte der Erholung für Körper und Geist. Hier hat man die
Musse, über die stetige Veränderung unsere Beziehungen zur Natur
nachzudenken. Länge: ca. 2,2 km.
Les parcours d’“Une journée en Capriasca” sont l’occasion de
découvrir ou redécouvrir la nature, son monde animal et végétal, ses
racines historiques et culturelles et les cadres de vie et de travail de
ses habitants. Les parcours se subdivisent en 3 tronçons distincts:
Le premier tronçon traverse les villages, les campagnes et les bois:
des milieux qui montrent les signes de l’évolution. Ici, l’homme façonne le territoire et modifie la végétation selon ses besoins. Le parcours
est de 5,8 km de long. Le deuxième tronçon est de 3 km de long et
se déroule dans les bois où la nature domine. Le troisième tronçon
offre deux points panoramiques, un vers le nord et l’autre vers le sud.
Dans ces lieux, le corps et l’esprit peuvent trouver un peu de quiétude. Ici, chacun peut réfléchir sur le rapport que nous avions et que
nous avons aujourd’hui avec la nature et le monde. Longueur de ce
tronçon : 2,2 km.

“A day in Capriasca” is a trail that offers you the opportunity to rediscover the natural landscape, the animal and vegetable world, its
historical and cultural roots and the life and work of its inhabitants.
The trails are divided into 3 different itineraries:
The first trail passes through villages, countryside and woods and
really conveys the sense of the transformations that have occurred in
time. Here, man has moulded his territory and the vegetation to meet
his own particular requirements. This itinerary is 5.8 Km. long.
The second trail, which is 3 km long, passes through woods and here
nature really prevails. The third one includes two panoramic points,
one to the North and one to the South. In these enchanting places
body and mind can find peace and we can stop and meditate on the
relationship that we had and continue to have with nature and the
world. The trail is 2.2 Km long.

landschaftlichen Querschnitt der gesamten Region darstellen.

Mount Caslano is a very interesting natural landscape and is strictly
protected because it joins together, in a small but attractive area, different geological and botanical elements; generally speaking, it represents almost a precious summary of the natural landscape of the
entire region. The didactic trail, which is well marked and equipped

its most interesting features.

Sentier raconté
Percorrere il sentiero raccontato è una piacevole attività per il corpo
e per lo spirito. Si cammina lungo comodi sentieri che portano attraverso paesi e boschi facendo otto soste. In ognuna di queste c’è
qualcosa da osservare (una fontana, un lago, due affreschi, una torre,
un paese, un sarcofago, un sasso) e una leggenda da scoprire, che
riguarda proprio l’oggetto osservato. L’itinerario è adatto a grandi e
piccini e rappresenta un’occasione privilegiata per conoscere la storia
e le storie della gente della Capriasca.
Eine Wanderung auf dem erzählten Weg erquickt Geist und Körper. Bequeme Wanderwege führen durch Dörfer und Wälder an
acht Standorten vorbei. An jedem dieser Standorte gibt es etwas zu
bewundern (einen Brunnen, einen See, zwei Freskenmalereien, einen
Turm, ein Dorf, einen Steinsarg und einen Felsen) sowie eine Legende
zum entsprechenden Objekt zu entdecken. Der Lehrpfad eignet sich
für Gross und Klein und ist eine gute Gelegenheit, um die Geschichte
von Land und Leute der Region Capriasca kennen zu lernen.
Parcourir le sentier raconté est une activité agréable pour le corps
et l’esprit. On marche sur des chemins faciles qui conduisent à travers les villages et les bois, en faisant huit haltes. A chacune de ces
haltes, il y a une chose à observer (une fontaine, un lac, une tour, un
village, un sarcophage, un caillou) et une légende à découvrir portant
sur l’objet observé. L’itinéraire est adapté aux grands et aux petits
et représente une occasion privilégiée pour connaître l’histoire et les
histoires des habitants du val Capriasca.

To walk along the narrated path is a pleasant activity both for the body
and the mind. One strolls along easy paths that run through villages
and woods making 8 stops. At each of these, there is something to
be admired (a fountain, a lake, two frescoes, a tower, a village, a sarcophagus, a stone) and a legend to be discovered about the object
being observed. The itinerary well suits both adults and children and
represents a great occasion to get to know the history and the stories
about the people living in Capriasca.

vom Circolo Pasquale Gilardi „Lelèn“ in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gesellschaft Schweizer Maler, Bildhauer und Architekten Visarte ins Leben gerufen, mit dem Ziel, den wunderbar erhaltenen Dorfkern dieses
Tessiner Dorfs einem möglichst breiten Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Hier lebten Künstler wie Pasquale Gilardi (1985-1934), Wilhelm
Schmid (1892-1971) und Josef Birò (1887-1975). Der Rundgang beginnt beim Kirchenvorplatz und führt durch die Gassen des Dorfes,
in denen man hier und dort Kunstwerke national und international
bekannter Künstler bewundern kann.

Auf diesem Wanderweg stehen historische Zeugnisse und Naturlandschaften im Mittelpunkt. Der “sentiero dell’acqua ripensata” bietet
zudem Denkanstösse zum Thema Wasser - Mensch in der Vergangenheit und in der Gegenwart.
Der Wanderweg zwischen zwei typischen Ortschaften bietet viel Interessantes. Die Natur und die Geschichte bieten Zeugnisse und Spuren, antike wie auch neuere, die es in diesem Gebiet zu entdecken
gilt. Denn nur das Wissen um die Vergangenheit und die bewusste
Auseinandersetzung mit ihrem Bezug zur Gegenwart ermöglichen es,
eine Zukunft, die bereits begonnen hat, konstruktiv zu gestalten.

This itinerary aims at highlighting the tokens of past history and of
the natural environment and proposes much food for thought on the
relationship between man and water in the past and in the present.
The trail proposes a walk through a precise part of our territory between two typical villages. Nature and history offer hints and traces, both
ancient and recent, all to be discovered in this corner of the region.
Because it is only through the knowledge and awareness of the past
and of its relationship with the present that we can concretely face a
future, which has already begun.

und grösstenteils aus vergangenen Zeiten stammende Bauwerke und
Kleinodien zu entdecken, die beredtes Zeugnis ablegen von verschiedenen Aspekten im Leben der lokalen Einwohner früherer Tage. Die
Hügellandschaft ist für diese Region typisch und leicht zu erwandern.

hiker to be able to observe close up several structures and several
buildings of the past; these give us a very good idea of some of the

Sentier nature de San Zeno
Il sentiero naturalistico congiunge Lamone con Taverne, attraverso il
colle. Lungo il percorso ci sono 10 stazioni, corrispondenti ad altrettanti
luoghi di interesse naturalistico. Il sentiero è particolarmente adatto alle
scolaresche e ai visitatori adulti che amano avvicinarsi alla natura per
mezzo dell’osservazione e del contatto diretto. A metà percorso si trova
la chiesetta di San Zeno, luogo d’interesse storico e archeologico, da
cui si gode un’incantevole vista sulla Valle del Vedeggio. Dalla stazione
numero 6 si possono osservare la conca del Lago di Origlio e, all’orizzonte, le cime dell’Alta Valcolla e della Valle del Cassarate. Prima di
svoltare verso Taverne, si può fare tappa alla Chiesa di San Giorgio e,
più in basso, al bellissimo nucleo di Origlio, luoghi iscritti nella lista dei
monumenti storici. Poco lontano il Laghetto di Origlio, di origine glaciale. La zona, protetta, costituisce un’oasi di pace.
Dieser Themenweg verbindet Lamone mit Taverne über den dazwischen
liegenden Hügel. Entlang dem Weg stösst man auf 10 Stationen, die auf
naturalistisch interessante Orte hinweisen. Der Lehrpfad ist besonders
geeignet für Schulklassen und Erwachsene, die den direkten Kontakt zur
Natur suchen und diese gerne beobachten. Auf halbem Weg befindet
sich die Kirche San Zeno, die sowohl aus historischer als auch archäologischer Sicht von Interesse ist und von wo aus man eine wunderbare
Aussicht auf das Vedeggiotal geniesst. Die Station Nr. 6 hingegen bietet einen interessanten Ausblick auf das Seebecken von Origlio und die
Berge des oberen Valcolla und des Cassaratetals im Hintergrund. Bevor
man nach Taverne hinuntersteigt, kann man die Kirche San Giorgio besichtigen und, weiter unten, den malerischen Dorfkern von Origlio, die
beide unter Denkmalschutz stehen. Von hier ist es nicht mehr weit zum
Origliosee, der mit dem Rückzug der Gletscher entstanden ist. Der naturgeschützte See ist eine kleine Oase der Stille.
Le sentier nature relie Lamone à Taverne, à travers le coteau. Le long
du parcours, il y a 10 haltes correspondant à dix lieux ayant des caractéristiques naturelles intéressantes. Le sentier est particulièrement
adapté aux scolaires et aux visiteurs adultes qui aiment s’approcher
de la nature par l’observation et le contact direct. A mi-parcours on
trouve l’église de San Zeno, lieu d’intérêt historique et archéologique. D’ici, la vue sur la vallée du Vedeggio est splendide. De la halte
numéro 6, on peut observer le lac d’Origlio et à l’horizon les cimes de
la Haute Valcolla et de la vallée du Cassarate. Avant de tourner vers
Taverne, on peut faire une halte à l’église de San Giorgio et un peu
plus bas, au superbe village de Origlio, lieux inscrits dans la liste des
monuments historiques. Un peu après, on trouve le lac de Origlio,
d’origine glaciaire. La zone, protégée, constitue une oasis de paix.
The San Zeno Nature Path
Lamone to Taverne, passing by a hill. Along this path, there are 10
stations that correspond to spots of naturalistic interest. This path is
especially good for school children and adults who love approaching
nature through direct observation and contact. Half way along the
path, you can visit the church of San Zeno, a place of historical and
archaeological interest, from where one has an enchanting view of
the Val del Vedeggio. From station n° 6, one can observe the Lake of
Origlio and on the horizon the mountain tops of the Alta Valcolla and
of the Cassarate Valley. Before turning in the direction of Taverne, one
can stop at the Church of San Giorgio, and lower down, at the nice
village of Origlio, all places that are on the historical monument list.
Not far from there, you’ll find the Lake of Origlio, of glacial origin. This
protected area constitutes a peaceful oasis.

Ideato per riscoprire il piacere di vivere la natura attraverso i nostri
5 sensi. Si tratta di un approccio diretto che moltiplica sensazioni e
stimoli. Attraverso un’attenta ricerca sono stati individuati alcuni punti caratteristici che consentono di apprezzare pienamente la natura,
sono state scelte una ventina di postazioni.
Percorso in tal modo, il sentiero si trasforma in una somma di percezioni sensoriali, vissuta da ognuno in modo diverso. Il circuito si snoda
attraverso un paesaggio molto variegato e splendido in ogni stagione.
Der Lehrpfad will zeigen, wie wir die Freude an der Natur über unsere fünf Sinne wieder entdecken können. Eine direkte Erfahrung, die
Empfindungen erweckt und neue Anreize bringt.
Nach eingehenden Recherchen wurden einige typische Punkte
ausgewählt, an denen die Natur aus nächster Nähe gespürt und erlebt werden kann. Es sind dies insgesamt 20 Standorte.
So ist dieser Weg gepflastert mit Sinneswahrnehmungen, die jeder
Mensch wieder anders erlebt.
Der Rundgang windet sich durch eine Landschaft, die in jeder Jahreszeit eine Vielfalt von Eindrücken vermittelt.
Ce sentier a été conçu pour nous faire redécouvrir le plaisir de vivre
la nature à travers nos 5 sens. Il s’agit d’une approche directe qui
multiplie les sensations et les stimule. A travers une recherche attentive, certains éléments caractéristiques permettant d’apprécier pleinement la nature ont été identifiés, et une vingtaine d’emplacements
ont été sélectionnés.
De cette façon, le parcours suivi le long du sentier se transforme en
une somme de perceptions sensorielles, vécues chacune de façon
différente.
Le parcours passe au cœur d’un paysage très diversifié et splendide
à chaque saison.
Path of the Senses
This path has been created to experience nature through our 5 senses. It’s a direct approach that multiplies emotions and stimulations.
Through an attentive research certain characteristic spots have been
detected that allow one to fully appreciate nature; about twenty different spots have been selected.
If you experience this path in such a way, it turns into a sum of sensorial perceptions, that everyone experiences in a personal way.
The path unwinds through an ever- changing and magnificent landscape, whatever the season.

Attraverso questo percorso avete la possibilità di percorrere quasi
totalmente, comodamente in macchina, questa splendida regione
contraddistinta da vallate e colline che si estendono tra cime panoramiche e acque turchine. La rigogliosa natura e i caratteristici villaggi
sono un valore aggiunto a questo tracciato tematico.
Auf dieser Route können Touristen und Geniesser die schönsten Stellen im Malcantone entdecken: Eindrucksvolle Zeugnisse der Kultur
und Traditionen früherer Generationen. Sie können fast die gesamte
Strecke bequem im Auto zurücklegen und so diese grossartige Region kennenlernen. Ihr besonderer Reiz liegt in ihren weiten Tälern
und Hügeln, die sich zwischen hohen Berggipfeln und türkisblauen
Wassern erstrecken. Die üppige Natur und die charakteristischen
Ortschaften machen diese Themenstrecke zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis.
Itinéraire visant à accompagner les touristes et les amateurs à la
découverte des plus beaux cadrans solaires du Malcantone, merveilleux témoignages de la culture et des traditions des sociétés qui nous
ont précédées. Ce parcours qui permet de découvrir cette magnifique région caractérisée par ses collines et ses vallées qui s’étendent
entre les cimes panoramiques et les eaux turquoises, peut presque
se faire entièrement en voiture. La nature luxuriante et les villages typiques sont un plus à ce trajet thématique.

discovery of the most beautiful sun dials in Malcantone, a token of the
culture and traditions of the society of the past. Thanks to this itinerary, you’ll have the possibility of comfortably driving through most of
this splendid region characterized by valleys and hills, which extend
between panoramic peaks and turquoise lakes. The lush vegetation

Sentier nature et archéologie de Gandria
Questo sentiero percorre un sito che si estende dalla regione del Parco nazionale prealpino fino ed attorno all’incantevole paese di Gandria. Esso riveste particolare importanza sia per i contenuti naturalistici sia per quelli antropici. Il fitto bosco, che si attraversa in larghi
suoi tratti, e’ tipico di un microclima mediterraneo e la vegetazione
presenta anche elementi di tipo subalpino: essi sono stati, per lunghi
secoli prima del 1500, l’habitat naturale dell’uomo, che qui vi ha soggiornato, lasciando tracce tipiche della sua attività, ancora visibili oggi
come resti di insediamenti abitativi, terrazzamenti, incisioni rupestri.
Un grande patrimonio per la popolazione locale e per gli escursionisti
di passaggio in un angolo magico sul ramo orientale del lago di Lugano (e complemento al sentiero dell’olivo).
Dieser Weg führt durch eine Region, die sich vom Voralpen-Nationalpark bis zum malerischen Dorf Gandria erstreckt. Er ist sowohl
aus naturalistischer als auch aus anthropischer Sicht von Bedeutung.
Der dichte Wald, durch den grosse Teile des Wegs führen, weist ein
typisch mediterranes Mikroklima auf, wobei die Vegetation zum Teil
auch subalpine Elemente enthält. Diese bildeten während Jahrhunderten den natürlichen Lebensraum des Menschen, der schon vor
dem 16. Jahrhundert hier gelebt und sichtbare Spuren hinterlassen
hat. Das sind Siedlungsreste, Terrassierungen und Felsmalereien. Ein
wertvolles Kulturgut für die lokale Bevölkerung und für Passanten, die
durch dieses magische Fleckchen Erde am östlichen Arm des Luganersees wandern (das u.a. an den Olivenweg anknüpft).
Ce sentier parcourt un site qui s’étend de la région du parc national préalpin jusqu’aux alentours du magnifique village de Gandria.
Ce sentier revêt une certaine importance en raison de ses contenus
naturels et humains. Le bois dense, que l’on traverse sur de longs
tronçons, est typique d’un microclimat méditerranéen. La végétation
présente aussi des éléments de type subalpins: ceux-ci ont été, de
nombreux siècles avant le XVIè, l’habitat naturel de l’homme qui a
laissé des traces de son activité encore visibles aujourd’hui, telles que
vestiges d’habitat, terrassements, gravures rupestres. Un grand patrimoine pour la population et pour les excursionnistes de passage,
dans un endroit magique sur le bras oriental du lac de Lugano (et un
complément au sentier de l’Olivier).
Gandria’s Naturalistic and Archeological Path
This path passes through a site that goes all the way from the PreAlpine National Park region to near the enchanting town of Gandria.
It is a very interesting path both from the naturalistic point of view
and the anthropical one The thick woods that one passes through
in some of its areas is typical of the Mediterranean microclimate and
the vegetation also has some sub-Alpine features; for long centuries
before 1500, this was man’s natural habitat; undoubtedly, he settled
here and left typical traces of his activity that are still visible today:
the remains of settlements, terracings and rock engravings. This represents a wonderful heritage for the local population and for excursionists, passing through this magical corner on the Eastern branch
of the Lake of Lugano (and acts as a complement to the Olive Path).

Il percorso si snoda lungo i sentieri della Media Capriasca ed è stato
pensato specificatamente per le persone cieche ed ipovedenti. Esso
è strutturato in 9 stazioni e sottolinea alcune delle particolarità naturalistiche della regione percepibili all’olfatto, al tatto, all’udito, al gusto e
tramite sensazioni corporee. Il percorso non è adatto a persone cieche o ipovedenti non accompagnate. Non è possibile garantire che si
possano effettivamente sentire tutti i suoni animali indicati nella guida.
Tuttavia la scelta delle specie più comuni dovrebbe garantire che nei
periodi indicati sia possibile identificarne una buona parte.
Osservazioni: le audioguide vengono messe a disposizione gratuitamente presso l’ufficio di Lugano Turismo a Tesserete.
Dieser Themenweg führt durch das mittlere Capriascatal und wurde speziell für Blinde und Sehbehinderte konzipiert. Er besteht aus 9
Standorten und konzentriert sich auf einige Besonderheiten der Natur
in dieser Region, die mit dem Geruchssinn, dem Tastsinn, dem Gehör,
dem Geschmacksinn und über physische Eindrücke wahrnehmbar
sind. Für blinde und sehbehinderte Personen ohne Begleitung ist der
Weg nicht geeignet. Es kann nicht gewährleistet werden, dass alle
im Führer aufgeführten Tierlaute vernehmbar sind. Trotzdem sollte
die Wahl der meist verbreiteten Arten dafür garantieren können, dass
ein Grossteil der Tiere zu den angegeben Zeiten identifiziert werden
kann. Anmerkung: Blinden und sehbehinderten Personen werden im
Büro von Lugano Turismo in Tesserete Führungsgeräte auf italienisch
gratis zur Verfügung gestellt.
Le parcours se déroule de long des sentiers de la Media Capriasca et
a spécialement été conçu pour les personnes aveugles et malvoyantes. Celui-ci est structuré en 9 haltes et soulignent certaines particularités naturelles de la région perceptibles par l’odorat, le toucher, l’ouïe,
le goût et les sensations corporelles. Le parcours n’est pas adaptés
aux personnes aveugles et malvoyantes non accompagnées. Il n’est
pas possible de garantir que l’on puisse effectivement entendre tous
les sons des animaux indiqués dans le guide. Toutefois, le choix des
espèces les plus communes devrait garantir que dans les périodes
indiquées il soit possible d’en identifier une bonne partie.
Observations: pour tous il est possible d’utiliser des guides audio en
italien mis gratuitement à la disposition des personnes aveugles et
malvoyantes au siège de Lugano Turismo à Tesserete.
Sensations in Capriasca
The trail unwind along the paths of Media Capriasca and has been
especially envisaged for the blind or for those with eyesight problems.
It is organized in 9 stations, highlighting some of the naturalistic features of the region that may by perceived through smell, touch, hearing
and taste and through sensations of the body. The path is not suitable
for non- accompanied blind people or ones with eyesight problems.
Nor is it possible to guarantee that all the sounds of the animals listed
in the guide may, in fact, be heard. However, the choice of the most
common species should guarantee that in the indicated periods it will
be possible to identify a good number of these.
Observations: for everyone it’s possible to use the audio-guides in italian rendered available to the blind and those with eyesight problems,
totally free of chare at the offices of Lugano Turismo in Tesserete.

A Montagnola un sentiero e un museo, l’unico dedicato a lui in Svizzera, aprono interessanti spiragli di luce sulla lunga presenza in Ticino
di questo famosissimo scrittore e poeta. Il percorso dedicato a Hermann Hesse intende condurre ad alcuni punti del paesaggio della
Collina d’Oro che furono particolarmente cari al poeta e trovano un
riflesso nelle sue opere. Lungo il tracciato si percorre sia la periferia
quanto il nucleo di Montagnola; la parte finale attraversa il bosco per
terminare alla Casa Rossa, abitazione di Hermann Hesse dal 1931
al 1962.
Osservazioni: audioguida in lingua italiana e tedesca per la passeggiata.
Ein Weg und ein Museum in Montagnola - das einzige ihm gewidmete Museum in der Schweiz - werfen ein interessantes Licht auf den
langjährigen Aufenthalt des berühmten deutschen Schriftstellers
und Dichters im Tessin. Der Hermann Hesse gewidmete Weg führt
an einige der schönsten Punkte der Collina d’Oro, die dem Dichter
besonders lieb waren und die man in seinen Werken wiederfindet. Er
umgeht Montagnola, durchquert den Dorfkern und führt durch den
Wald zur Casa Rossa, wo Hermann Hesse von 1931 bis 1962 gelebt
hat.

A Montagnola, un sentier et un musée, le seul en Suisse à lui être
dédié, apportent des éclaircissements sur la longue présence au Tessin de ce très célèbre écrivain et poète. Le parcours dédié à Hermann
Hesse vous emmène dans quelques endroits de la Collina d’Oro qui
furent particulièrement chers au poète et que l’on retrouve dans ses
oeuvres. Le trajet passe dans les alentours et le village de Montagnola; la partie finale traverse le bois pour arriver à la Casa Rossa,
demeure de Hermann Hesse de 1931 à 1962.

On the Footsteps of Herman Hesse
At Montagnola, a path and a museum, the only one dedicated to him
in Switzerland, lets us catch a glimpse of the long stay in Ticino of
this famous writer and poet. The path dedicated to Herman Hesse
intends to lead the visitor to certain spots of the Collina d’Oro that
were especially dear to the author and are sometimes reflected in his
works. The path runs both through the periphery and the centre of
Montagnola, while the last part goes through the woods and leads to
the Red House, which was Herman Hesse’s home from 1931 to 1962.
Observation: an audio-guide is available for the walk in Italian and
German.

Alla scoperta di alcuni artisti del Malcantone lungo un itinerario circolare che attraversa cinque tipici villaggi. Quattordici atelier aperti la
prima domenica del mese (da giugno a dicembre) uniti da un filo rosso che li collega - nel meraviglioso Malcantone - attraverso i comuni
di Curio, Bedigliora e Novaggio. Le Arti si incontrano, si riuniscono,
spinte dal semplice entusiasmo di offrire ancora stupore, meraviglia,
poesia e calore al visitatore. Una categoria professionale testimone
del nostro lato sognatore, che non deve andare estinta.
Eine Entdeckungsreise mit Künstlern/Artisten aus dem « Malcantone, welche fünf typische Dörfer des « Malcantone » zeigt. Der Weg
verbindet vierzehn Ateliers in den Gemeinden Curio, Bedigliora und
Novaggio im wundervollen Malcantone, die jeweils am ersten Sonntag im Monat (von Juni bis Dezember) geöffnet sind. Hier begegnen
und vereinigen sich die Künste, einzig durch den Enthusiasmus angetrieben, Erstaunen, Bewunderung, Poesie und Wärme zu schenken.
Eine Berufsgruppe, die Zeuge unserer verträumten Seite ist und nicht
verschwinden darf.
À la découverte de quelques artistes du Malcantone, le long d’un
itinéraire qui traverse cinq villages typiques. Le chemin suit un fil rouge qui relie quatorze ateliers, ouverts chaque premier dimanche du
mois (de juin à décembre), dans les communes de Curio, Bedigliora et Novaggio dans la merveilleuse région du Malcantone. Les Arts
se rencontrent et se réunissent, poussés par l’enthousiasme d’offrir
stupéfaction, étonnement, poésie et chaleur au visiteur. Cette catégorie professionnelle est le témoin de notre côté rêveur et ne doit pas
disparaître.
Art’s Trail
Fourteen atelier open the first Sunday of every months (from june to
december), sharing the same train of thought which combines them
- along the marvellous Malcantone - across the villages of Curio, Bedigliora and Novaggio.
Arts meet together, motivated from the simply enthusiasm of offering
amazement, wonder, poetry and warmth to the visitor. A job category
which witnesses our dreaming side, which do not has to die out.

Questo sentiero, importante via nord-sud nel medioevo tanto quanto
il percorso della Forca di San martino, offre punti panoramici a grande
effetto scenico sull’arco di territorio che va dalla Valsolda fino al Basso
Ceresio sovrastato dalla maestosità del Monte Generoso. Ricco di
storia e di resti del passato, esso è la porta di accesso alla parte alta
della collina dell’Arbostora, con la sua rete di sentieri e le sue bellezze
naturalistiche che ne fanno un sito degno di protezione a livello federale (Iscritto nell’elenco delle vie storiche a livello nazionale-IVS).
Dieser Weg galt im Mittelalter als genauso wichtige Nord-Südverbindung wie die Strasse dem See entlang der Forca di San Martino. Er bietet eindrückliche Aussichtspunkte auf ein Gebiet, das vom
Valsolda-Tal bis zum unteren Luganosee reicht, einschliesslich den
majestätischen Monte Generoso. Der geschichtsträchtige Weg ist
reich an Zeugen der Vergangenheit und erschliesst das obere Gebiet der Arbostora mit ihrem reichen Wegnetz und den zahlreichen
Naturschönheiten, die den Hügel zum nationalen Naturschutzgebiet
machen (eingetragen im Inventar der historischen Verkehrswege der
Schweiz)
Ce sentier, voie nord-sud aussi importante au Moyen-Âge que le parcours du col San Martino, offre des points panoramiques d’une grande beauté sur le territoire du Valsolda jusqu’au Bas Ceresio, dominé
par le majestueux Monte Generoso. Riche d’histoire et de traces du
passé, ce sentier est la porte d’accès à la partie haute de la colline
de l’Arbostora, avec son réseau de sentiers et ses beautés naturelles,
qui en font un site digne d’être protégé au niveau fédéral (inscrit dans
la liste des voies de communication historiques de la Suisse - IVS).
Ancient Path: Melide-Carona
This path that was as important a trail along the North-South axis in
the Middle Ages as the Forca di San Martino trail was, offers stunning
panoramic spots on the whole territory, going from the Valsolda up
to the Basso Ceresio region that is dominated by the majestic Mount
Generoso. Rich in history and of remains of the past, it represents the
gate of access to the high part of the Arbostora hill with its network of
trails and its naturalistic beauties, that make it a site to be safeguarded at the federal level (listed among the historical paths at the IVS
national level).
