When Robert Gebetsroither – founder of the Austrian Camping-Dynasty Gebetsroither International – set
his enterprise on the way in 1981,
neither he nor his wife Annemarie
could have dreamt of more than

Flora, Fauna und das „heilsame“ Klima der beiden Gebirgsinseln

achdem, Ende des 19.
Jahrhunderts, Ärzte aus
der Donaumonarchie erkannt hatten, dass das Klima auf
der Insel Losinj den Atemwegen
überaus zuträglich ist, begann in
diesem Teil der Adria ein touristischer Aufschwung von bis dato
unbekannten Ausmaßen. War es
anfänglich die österreichische Aristokratie, die auf Losinj (und dort
vor allem rund um die Stadt Mali)
„sommerfrischte“, so entwickelte
sich die Region binnen kürzerster
Zeit zum Tummelplatz der Schönen
und Reichen. Mitverantwortlich für
die Qualität der Luft waren und
sind dabei die ätherischen Öle,

the 19. century) Austrian physicians had found out that the local
climate soothes the lungs, the
region soon witnessed a massive
increase of tourism. Beginning
with members of the Austrian aristocracy, the rich and the famous
from all over Europe could be
found on the islands. The islands
oustanding quality of air is to no
small extend due to their rich and
verdant vegetation. It is enriched
by essential oils vapouring from
the fauna. Moderate daily temperatures as well as mild summers
and springs ad up to this phenomenon. This is why Losinj has earned
the name “Island of Vitality”. It is
the perfect spot for all those who
would like to discover varieties of
the Mediterranean with all senses.
This is best experienced during a
walk along one of the many hiking
trails which wind their ways through hosts of wild myrtle, thyme,
lavendar and oregano.

All those who think that every
brand of islanders is fundamentally
different are mistaken. The people
of Cres and Losinj have always
been extremely close. They even
built a swing-bridge to connect the
two islands. From then on the people of Cres were able to enjoy the
“vitality” of Losinj, while Losinjians
could visit the natural wonders of
Cres without getting their feet wet.

La flora, la fauna e il clima „salubre“ delle due isole montuose nel
golfo del Quarnaro sono uniche in
tutta l‘area del Mediterraneo. Verso
la fine dell‘Ottocento i medici della
monarchia danubiana scoprirono
che il clima nell‘isola di Lussino
era estremamente salutare per le
vie respiratorie. Da quel momento
cominciò a svilupparsi un fiorente
turismo in questa zona dell‘Adriatico, un fenomeno fino ad allora
sconosciuto in quelle proporzioni.
All‘inizio Lussino (e in particolare
la zona intorno alla città di Lussinpiccolo) fu la meta di villeggiatura privilegiata dell‘aristocrazia
austriaca, ma in breve tempo tutta
la regione divenne luogo di ritrovo dei belli e dei ricchi. A rendere
l‘aria così salubre sono gli oli eterici che si effondono dal variegato
regno vegetale dell‘isola. Le temperature diurne mai eccessive, le
giornate miti in primavera e inverno, fanno il resto: non a torto Lussino è conosciuta ancora oggi come
´l‘isola della vitalità“. Una visita a

Wachablösen statt - zweimal jährlich,
Anfang April und Anfang Oktober, wird
eine große Militärparade zur Amtseinführung der neuen Regierungschefs
vor dem Palast abgehalten.

ie Republik bietet atemberaubende Natur mit vielen
Nationalparks, in denen

durchschnittlich 25° im Sommer

sein, was man sich dazu denkt nur das ist eine gänzlich andere
Geschichte.
Länger als man glaubt
Schon zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts, als sich die Wohnsituation
in den, von der Enge und dem
Schmutz der galoppierenden Industrialisierung
geprägten, Städten Europas am
Höhepunkt der Unerträglichkeit
befand, begann man sich der
Körperkultur als Freizeitgestaltung hinzuwenden. Waren es in
den goldenen 1920er-Jahren noch
die Eliten, die den Schritt von bequemer und gesunder Kleidung
hin zur absoluten Nacktheit auf
„Vereinsbasis“ wagten, waren es in
folgenden Jahrzehnten vor allem
die Freigeister von hinter dem eisernen Vorhang, welche die Idee
des FKK in stetig steigender Zahl
trugen. Wenn man schon nicht in
die weite Welt hinausziehen durfte,
zog man sich eben am Baggersee
bei Danzig, Warschau oder Moskau
aus. Am Höhepunkt des Kalten
Krieges hatte die Freikörperkultur im Osten ihre heißeste Phase
erreicht.

Nackt-Radtouren werden genauso organisiert wie Paraden oder
Nacktrodelwettbewerbe. Diesem
Trend wird mittlerweile sogar
schon von kommerzieller Seite
her entsprochen. Die ersten Angebote für FKK-Flüge
sollen bereits in
den Katalogen
von Reiseveranstaltern aufgetaucht sein. Auf
den FKK-Plätzen
in Kroatien und
Österreich ist
der Andrang
übrigens nach
wie vor ungebrochen stark.

cities where huge, cramped, dirty and – to put it in a nutshell - a
health hazard to everybody residing within them, physical culture
became a popular spare-time
activity. While at first (during the
roaring 20s) mainly carried by
the urban elites the phenomenon
quickly developed from “wearing
comfortable clothing” to “organized nudism for everyone”. As a
possible form of liberlism in the
Eastern Bloc, nudism reached its
haydays behind the iron curtain
during the final stages of the Cold
War. Stripped naked of their freedom to travel, millions of people
from Moskau to Dresden literally
stripped naked on a more “basic”
level.

basis. Recently certain sub-groups
were formed to promote nudism
to the next level of publicity. In
line with this trend commerce
has already begun to adapt their
lines of business. Offers for “nude
flights” have recently emerged on
the billboards. “Nudist ressorts”
in Austria and Croatia are well
frequented all along…
Il nudismo è libertà, gioia e
rispetto! Se il campeggio significa
libertà, il passo successivo da compiere in vacanza è quello di „libe-
rarsi dalla schiavitù dei vestiti“. La
cultura del corpo nudo - o in breve
il nudismo - si è affrancata già da
decenni dai tabu dei benpensanti.
Nel frattempo anche nella società
lasciare cadere tutti i veli è considerato un segno di liberalismo e di
contatto con la natura.
Ovviamente serve una certa dose
di fiducia in sé per stare davanti
ad altre persone senza i vestiti che
nascondono il corpo nella vita di
ogni giorno. Di conseguenza devono essere persone con un carattere
particolarmente forte quelle che
si azzardano a comparire come
„mamma li ha fatti“ anche in società. Ciò che spinge a questo è
l‘esigenza primigenia di „essere
liberi“ finalmente e di sottrarsi
alle costrizioni e convenzioni della società almeno per un periodo
limitato di tempo. In un certo senso
è „consono alla specie“ che rappresentanti del genere Homo Sapiens
espongano al vento le loro nudità.
Il nudismo può urtare la sensibilità
soltanto di chi si fa cattive idee in
proposito, ma questa è tutta un‘altra storia.
Più a lungo di quanto si pensi
Già all‘inizio del 20esimo secolo,
quando la situazione abitativa
nelle città europee soffocate dalla
ristrettezza e dalla sporcizia dell‘industrializzazione galoppante, aveva
raggiunto il limite del sopportabile,
cominciò a farsi strada la cultura
del corpo cui dedicarsi nel tempo
libero. Se nei dorati anni Venti erano ancora le elite ad osare il passo
verso la completa nudità abbandonando anche vestiti comodi e sani
all‘interno di appositi circoli, nei
decenni seguenti furono soprattutto gli „spiriti liberi“ al di là della
cortina di ferro i corifei del nudismo. Se non si poteva viaggiare liberamente nel vasto mondo, almeno
si sceglieva di svestirsi al laghetto
di cava vicino a Danzica, a Varsavia
o a Mosca. Al culmine della guerra
fredda il nudismo aveva raggiunto
la sua fase più calda all‘est.
Attivisti nudisti in ogni
ambito della vita
Oltre sette milioni di persone in
area tedescofona si riconoscono
oggi tra i seguaci del nudismo.
Nel passato più recente si sono
formati addirittura gruppi di attivisti a favore del nudismo che
si propongono di diffondere la
cultura nudista in tutti
gli spazi pubblici. Vengono organizzate gite in biciclette, parate o
gare di slittino per i nudisti. A questa tendenza si guarda nel frattempo persino dal punto di vista
commerciale. Nei cataloghi dei tour
promoter sarebbero già comparse
le prime offerte per voli dedicati
ai nudisti. Nei campeggi riservati
ai nudisti in Croazia e in Austria
continua ad esserci forte richiesta
come in passato.

die Endrechnung angerechnet.
Wird ein Mietobjekt zum Beispiel für
3 Wochen vorreserviert und dann
in diesem Zeitraum auch 3 Wochen
gebucht, so wird die Kaution von 3
x 49 Euro auf die Endrechnung angerechnet. Werden von den 3 Wochen aber nur 2 Wochen gebucht,
so werden 2 x 49 Euro bei der
wettbewerb
Endrechnung berücksichtigt, der
Restbetrag von 49 Euro verfällt.

locazione di un immobile per 3 settimane e successivamente la prenotazione viene confermata per tutte
3 le settimane, la caparra di 3 x 49
euro sarà defalcata interamente dal
conto finale. Se delle 3 settimane ne
vengono confermate solo 2, saranno defalcati dal conto finale 2 x
49 euro, ma non l‘importo residuo
di 49 euro. L‘amministrazione del

Abenteuer träumten unzählige
Generationen vor der unseren und
auch, wenn wir einmal nicht mehr
sind, wird es unsere Nachfahren

Camping ist das, was noch heute
(innerhalb der Grenzen einer stetig
mehr von alltäglichen Routinen geprägten Gesellschaft) diesem Gefühl
am ehesten entspricht.
Alles fließt
Als sich die letzte große „Entdeckungswelle“ der Geschichte (die
Besiedelung der heutigen USA)
ihren Weg durch die unbekannte
Wildnis des Westens bahnte, errichteten die Menschen „Camps“
um das von ihnen neuerschlossene
Territorium zumindest grundlegend
abzusichern.
Das Leben muss in jenen Tagen
recht beschwerlich gewesen sein.
Jede „Feuerholz-Expedition“, jeder
Depeschenritt zur nächsten befestigten Siedlung - ja sogar die Versorgung mit Nahrungsmitteln und
Trinkwasser war mit lebensgefährlichen Herausforderung verbunden.
Mit der Zeit etablieren sich dann
aber auch die entlegensten Camps.
Es wuchs, wurde komfortabler - sicherer. Und heute, im Zeitalter der
weltweiten Vernetzung, sind es
Ferienlager und präsidiale Urlaubssitze (z. B. Camp David), die noch an
die abenteuerliche Vergangenheit
ihrer befestigten „Urgroßeltern“
erinnern.
Im Kleinen wie im Großen
Was für die Menschheitsgeschichte
als Ganzes gilt, ist leicht auf jeden
Einzelnen von uns umzulegen. Man
wird älter, seine Lebensumstände
verändern sich (Ehe, Kinder und
Familie). Und was in jungen Jahren
noch unwichtig erschien (Sicherheit, Planbarkeit - ja, ein gewisser

mehr an Bedeutung.

When the last great wave of exploration (the American frontier)
paved its way through the western
wilderness, people set up “camps”
in order to establish basic means
of security within uncharted territory. Life must have been hard
during those days. Every single
“expedition” for firewood, every
dispatch, the simple gathering
of provisions posed serious threats to the very life of the people.
Given time, these camps established better infrastructure, they
grew in size and population and
eventually the “security of civilization” reached even the remotest
of them all.
Today, as the world grows smaller
every day by means of networking
and telecommunication, it is the
campsites that pose as remainders of their “fortified grandparents” long gone.
In small and great matters
What is true for the whole of
mankind can easily be applied to
every individual. As we grow in
age the personal circumstances
are changing – and suddenly
things that did not seem to matter yesterdy become important.
“Security”, “predictability” and
“comfort” are some of them.

scoperte“ della storia (la colonizzazione degli odierni Stati Uniti) si
aprì la strada nell‘ignoto e selvaggio
Ovest, i pionieri allestivano „campi“
per proteggere alla meglio il nuovo
territorio conquistato.
La vita deve essere stata molto
dura in quei giorni. Ogni „spedizione alla ricerca della legna per
i bivacchi“, ogni calvalcata per
recapitare dispacci al prossimo
