About Tile of Spain
Spain is innovation. It is not secret that Spain has a long history in the field of ceramics, pioneering new
techniques for centuries. Although today’s industry has its origin in this noble handcrafted tradition, the process
has evolved over the last 30 years into a leading high-tech business with great success in today’s world
markets.
The Spanish presence at CERSAIE is the major foreign contingent at the exhibition. This year the Spanish
pavilion will showcase 93
exhibitors in more than 7,800 square meters.
See, touch, feel and experience our ceramic tiles in any of our exhibitors’ spaces. Most new innovations have
emerged at the hands of Spanish companies: digital inkjet printing systems, rectified and slim tiles, ceramic
ventilated façades, etc. This will continue and most of the new innovations to come will emerge once more from
Spain.
Tile of Spain, a quality product that brings you new trends, applications, architectural and sustainable
uses to create spaces with more human dimension. We hope that you will visit us and that you will enjoy a

Tile of Spain
As the voice of the industry, ASCER (the Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association) promotes ceramic tiles
through the collective brand “Tile of Spain”. This is a joint effort of the members of ASCER, with the support of
the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX).
In 2011, the Spanish tile manufacturing industry’s turnover was 2,597 million euros, 70% of which were earned
in exports to more than 180 different countries. Today, Spain is the second biggest exporter of ceramic tiles in
Europe, and the third in the world. The industry is the third sector that brings more trade surplus to Spain, and
the first in commercial coverage.

ASCER, the ceramic tile manufacturers’ association in Spain, represents almost 150 member companies, that is,
