CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
HAT has been designing, manufacturing and supplying column and vessel internals since 1998 during which
time we have delivered many hundreds of installations throughout the world, which are successfully operating
without problem. To date we have never been advised of any performance problems on any of these
installations, which is a testament to the skills and experience of the design and engineering team.
Our process design team is led by Managing Director Mr David Hulse who is a Chartered Process Engineer
with 20 years experience working in the mass transfer sector for companies such as ETA Process Plant and
Nutter Engineering. Dave Hulse is responsible for approving all process and hydraulic mass transfer design
programs used within HAT International.
In our Alpha™ range of products you will find HAT’s improved
versions of many industry standard styles of random and structured
packing, trays, distributors, coalescers, mist eliminators etc, for
which design data is well established and verified. You will also find
in our portfolio a number of proprietary products offering
performance benefits, some of which we manufacture and supply
under license from established USA and European companies. Our
process/hydraulic design of these products is checked and
approved by the licensor for each application.
Our project engineering centre is located in our Newcastle-under-Lyme Operations Office where our team of
Engineers and Project Managers organise the material procurement and manufacturing to suit the customer’s
technical specification. We will nominate a Project Manager to be the customer’s single point of contact for a
purchase order. The Project Manager will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, expediting and
contract management and is ultimately responsible for ensuring that project technical, quality and schedule /
commercial requirements are met.
The Project Managers report to the General Manager, Stuart Dunn, who plans and allocates overall resources
and conducts regular, weekly contract progress reviews.
In 2001 HAT established an Operations Office in Pune, India, to support our global engineering design and
regional manufacturing activities. This office is responsible for detailed engineering and drafting, the quality and
output of all locally manufactured goods and for the smooth running of our local supply chain.
We operate to strict in house quality control procedures based
on ISO 9001-2000 standards and all products are rigorously
inspected prior to delivery. We use a range of approved subcontractors to carry out the sheet metal work and can furnish
comprehensive certification for materials, welding and testing if
required. Our Marketing Director Mike Kirk, who is a Chartered
Chemical Engineer, is responsible to the Board for Quality
Assurance matters.
Overall, we are confident you will find our product quality and effectiveness well above that of our competitors.
MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
HAT is a truly global supplier of process plant internals. With representatives and manufacturing
locations in several countries around the globe, HAT is your ideal partner. Where practical we will
manufacture locally to your job site, offering savings in both time and transportation costs.
