• Station de tramway « Monge » (T2). Ici convergent également
plusieurs lignes de bus dont deux lignes majeures (lianes 4 et 5).
Une station Velodi, une vélostation et une station d’autoportage
sont déjà implantées sur ce site qui pourra, demain, être
également desservi par la navette de cœur de ville Diviacity.
• Un parking silo de 400 places. Cet équipement, proposé
dans le cadre du projet, aura vocation à accueillir notamment les
véhicules des visiteurs de la Cité internationale de la gastronomie
et du vin.
• Gare Dijon-ville. Avec 20 000 voyageurs par jour, la gare et
son pôle d’échanges multimodal ne sont qu’à quelques minutes
à pied, ou à une station de tram seulement. Idéal pour accueillir
facilement les passagers débarquant d’une des cinq lignes TGV
desservant Dijon !
• La rue Monge vers le cœur de ville. Par cette artère qui sera
requalifiée, le secteur sauvegardé est à deux pas. Les visiteurs
de la Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin seront incités
à se rendre vers le centre-ville, et inversement, grâce à des
parcours touristiques spécialement étudiés.
• La route des grands crus. Elle débute ici ! Des navettes
proposeront aux visiteurs de pousser jusque dans les vignes
pour découvrir, sur le terrain, les prestigieux 1247 climats
du vignoble de Bourgogne.
• Un environnement exceptionnel. Coulée verte le long de
l’Ouche, jardin des sciences, port du canal… La nature préservée
et valorisée est aux portes de la Cité internationale de la
gastronomie et du vin !

• PÔLE CULTURE ET FORMATION
- Le pavillon de la gastronomie (1385 m2) :
espace d’exposition et espace numérique
donnant accès à un large fonds documentaire
sur le thème du vin et de la gastronomie.
- Le pavillon du vin (1040 m2) : la chapelle
des climats (écrin de présentation des climats
du vignoble de Bourgogne) et le pavillon des
vins du monde, œnothèque exceptionnelle
pour comprendre, déguster et acheter...
- Le centre de formation et de recherchedéveloppement (675 m2) : les ateliers de la Cité
(cours grand public, conférences, stages…) et le
laboratoire du goût (médiathèque, séminaires et
colloques, laboratoires, espaces de présentation
de produits innovants…).
- Le centre de conférences (1186 m2) : auditorium
de 400 places, salle de réception de prestige.
- 3 restaurants (615 m2) : grande brasserie,
cantine et comptoir.
- La boutique de la Cité (385 m2) : produits
culturels, gastronomiques et viticoles.
- Un complexe de 10 salles, ayant vocation à
restructurer l’offre cinématographique de centreville et à maintenir un flux sur le site toute l’année.

The new and upcoming International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre will be located in the heart of Dijon, capital
of Burgundy and continually developing metropolitan region.
The Centre will be dedicated to promoting “the French
gastronomical meal”, which has been added to Unesco’s
intangible cultural heritage list.
The Culture, Training and Conference Centre will include
exhibition and colloquium space, workshops, businesses,
restaurants and a wine shop. In addition, it will be the focus
of a global urban project which also offers a hotel,
an eco-friendly neighbourhood and a cinema theatre.
The Centre will be at the beginning of the famous grands
crus wine road which is the ideal place to begin discovering
the Climates of Burgundy Vineyards as well as Dijon's
exceptional safeguarded sector, inscribed on Unesco's World
Hertitage list. The International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre is simply the cultural, tourist and economic
project to invest in!

Since Dijon was nominated to be one of the three choice cities for
a French Gastronomy Exhibition Centre in 2013, Eiffage has been
by its side. We have worked closely with all of the players of the city
to develop a project in line with the requirements of such a feat.
After a call for declarations of interest, Greater Dijon chose
a subsidiary of Eiffage, Eiffage Aménagement, to use its extensive
know how and create the International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre.
Depuis 2013, année au cours de laquelle Dijon a été retenue avec
trois autres grandes villes comme terre d’accueil d’une Cité de la
gastronomie française, Eiffage s’est investi pour imaginer, en
concertation avec tous les acteurs de la ville, un projet en parfaite
adéquation avec les exigences d’un tel montage. Eiffage
Aménagement, filiale du groupe Eiffage, a été désignée par
le Grand Dijon à l’issue de l’appel à manifestation d’intérêt pour
mettre en œuvre son savoir-faire et créer la Cité internationale
de la gastronomie et du vin.
Promoting gastronomy and wine as well as the whole of the
traditions and sociology it involves has been our emphasis in
helping with the renovation of the emblematic site on which the
Exhibition Centre will be built. This project is ambitious on multiple
levels as it strives to successfully meet the urban, economic, tourist
and environmental expectations set out by Greater Dijon.
The project is all the more interesting as it is an extension of the
eco-labels the city of Dijon has already acquired or is currently
acquiring.
The site, which is located at the beginning of the Burgundy grands
crus wine road, will be the city's true showcase and make the
International Gastronomy and Wine Exhibition Centre the perfect
gateway to discover both Dijon and its region. Together with those
who are committed to the adventure, we are building this ambitious
large-scale project. It will take place on 6.5 hectares and a stone's
throw from the city's historical centre and the TGV train station
and will go hand in hand with the renovation of the Arquebuse
neighbourhood.
Pour accompagner le renouvellement du lieu emblématique sur
lequel elle prendra place, nous avons pensé une Cité qui valorisait
la gastronomie et le vin ainsi que l’ensemble des traditions et
pratiques sociales qui s’y rattachent. Ce projet, complexe à de
multiples échelles, ambitionne de répondre aux enjeux urbains,
économiques, touristiques et environnementaux attendus par le
Grand Dijon. Il fait également écho aux labels que la ville de Dijon
possède ou pour lesquels elle concourt actuellement.
Le site, situé au départ de la route des grands crus de Bourgogne,
sera un véritable écrin pour que la Cité internationale de la
gastronomie et du vin s’érige en tant que porte d’entrée principale
pour découvrir à la fois Dijon et sa région. Sur 6,5 hectares, au plus
près du centre historique de la ville et de sa gare TGV, nous
bâtirons, avec ceux qui se joindront à nous pour cette aventure,
un projet mixte d’envergure qui accompagnera la reconversion
du quartier de l’Arquebuse.
Through this unique Burgundy project, whose ambition reaches
beyond that of Greater Dijon's, Eiffage aims to become the symbol
of a vast urban development programme in Southern Dijon.
Our Group has developed a unique urban planning programme that
meets all of the project's requirements. It takes into consideration
the local and regional heritage as well as landscape aspects of the
site in order to build a welcoming environment where culture,
leisure, learning and entertainment will take shape in a vast
eco-friendly neighbourhood.

As visitors to the Universal Exhibition in Milan discovered during our
official presentation in October, the International Wine and
Gastronomy Exhibition Centre will be Dijon's newest cultural and
tourist facility by 2018. It will give Burgundians, international and
French tourists alike the opportunity to learn about and understand
"The Gastronomic Meal of the French", which is inscribed on the
Representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Centre will also be a facility for Greater Dijon's 250,000 strong
urban community, known for its unique blend of dynamism and
high quality of life in the region's capital. What's more,
the International Gastronomy and Wine Exhibition Centre's location
is simply perfect: in the heart of a new urban neighbourhood,
tramway accessible, near one of France's largest safeguarded
sectors, which is now inscribed on the Representative list of the
Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and a stone's throw from
the TGV train station. It is also at the beginning of the grands crus
wine road with its 1,247 climates; which have been inscribed on
Unesco's world heritage list since summer 2015. Everything needed
to attract a million visitors a year!

découvert lors de la présentation officielle que nous en avons faite,
en octobre, la Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin sera,
à l’horizon 2018, aux côtés de notre musée des Beaux-Arts
entièrement rénové, le nouveau grand équipement culturel
et touristique de Dijon. Ce sera tout à la fois le lieu permettant
aux touristes étrangers, aux Français et aux Bourguignons
de comprendre et d’appréhender le « repas gastronomique
des Français » inscrit au patrimoine immatériel de l'humanité.
Mais ce sera également un équipement structurant pour le Grand
Dijon, communauté urbaine de plus de 250 000 habitants, capitale
régionale rayonnante, métropole qui allie dynamisme et haute

This project has seen the light of day thanks to the invaluable
support of regional and national players who are strongly committed
to the development and promotion of our gastronomy and wine
heritage. The International Wine and Gastronomy Exhibition Centre
is indeed the emblem of Dijon, city of taste! It is also the opportunity
for Greater Dijon to promote its exceptional assets: a growing urban
area, a French reference in ecology, an ideal geographical location,
history and cultural heritage, gastronomy and wine making,
dynamic economic sectors, quality infrastructures,
and a safeguarded environment to name but a few. Dijon is a place
of grand scale projects, which we have shown through the city's
recent metamorphosis. I have no doubt that it will rise to the

AN EXCEPTIONAL SITE
The International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre in Dijon will be built on the
premises of the city’s former General Hospital.
The remaining wards from Dijon’s CHU
teaching hospital transferred to the modern
Bocage hospital at the beginning of 2015. The
vacant 6.5 hectare premises are an
exceptional setting for the International
Gastronomy and Wine Exhibition Centre as
they are located on the outskirts of the city
centre with Dijon’s safeguarded sector, one of
France’s biggest, just a few minutes away on
foot. Visiting the International Wine and
Gastronomy Exhibition Centre will also mean
visiting the city centre!
Dijon’s train station with its multimodal
transport platform, welcoming more than
20,000 travellers a day, is a mere 800 metres
away. The tramway and several bus lines
already run through the neighbourhood.
The site is at the beginning of the Burgundy
grands crus wine road and benefits from a
safeguarded environment with its nearby
botanical garden, museum of natural history
and planetarium, as well as the port du canal
of the Ouche river along which grass pathways
have been created that lead all the way the Kir
lake. The International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre is indeed part of a large scale
urban project for the south of Dijon which will
completely transform this area of the city.
The former hospital’s buildings will be
preserved and renovated and contemporary
buildings will be added. The historic chapel
will become a centre for the Climates of
Burgundy’s vineyards.

The cultural project is at the heart of the
International Wine and Gastronomy Exhibition
Centre of Dijon. Its various entities will offer
visitors the opportunity to understand all of the
dimensions of “the French meal” over
6,000 square metres.
The gastronomy pavilion will include an
exhibition space as well as a digital resources
space dedicated to gastronomy.
There will be a pavilion for wine where visitors
can discover an exceptional wine bar offering
wines from around the world, and visit the
Climates chapel, a Burgundy Wine
Interpretation Centre.
The learning, R&D and conference pavilion will
offer visitors unforgettable experiences thanks
to cooking workshops, taste centres,
a 400 seat auditorium, conference and
seminar rooms.
Lastly, the Centre will have its own shop and
three food courts including an impressive
brasserie. A large commercial space (with
a fine foods shop, a wine retailer, a bookshop,
restaurants, wine bars) is planned.

With the support of the key Culture, Training
and Conference Centre of the International
Wine and Gastronomy Exhibition Centre,
the eco-friendly neighbourhood will offer
640 housing units stretching over
3.5 hectares. In line with all of the city’s new
neighourhoods, it will bring together rent
controlled, subsidised home ownership and
lease-to-purchase units in a spacious green
environment.
The site will also host a four star hotel,
a residential tourist hotel and a student
residence.
In order to welcome large numbers of visitors
throughout the year, a 10-screen cinema
theatre will be built. The theatre screens will
be active in the cultural and pedagogical
dimension of the project through hosting the
events that will take place at the International
Wine and Gastronomy Exhibition Centre
(conferences, screenings, etc.).
Lastly, the International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre will welcome a tourist
platform from which visitors can purchase
tickets and book other outings such as
vineyard visits in minibuses or “Dijon, City of
Art and History” on foot tour. This platform will
be promoted at the Heritage Interpretation
Centre.

With the Climates of Burgundy Vineyarsds inscribed
Unesco's World Hertitage list, Dijon is deeply
rooted in wine and the capital of Burgundy has its
legitimate place among the four future French
gastronomy exhibition centres (Dijon, Lyon, Rungis
and Tours).
This well-deserved place is seen through its urbanism
and architecture which have been influenced by wine
making tradition, its estates which are still producing
within the city or through its Unesco chair, unique in
the world, which is dedicated to Cultures and
Traditions of Wine. Dijon's Centre will more
particularly focus on discovering the role and the
place of wine from France and around the world in
gastronomy. The International Wine and Gastronomy
Exhibition Centre will be the ideal starting place to
travel along the grands crus wine road and then the
famous National Truck Road 74 which winds through
the 1,247 "climates" of Burgundy vineyards,
candidates for Unesco's world heritage list.
