We offer unique, innovative and cost-effective language training courses. Classes are taught online by a
professional instructor located in China using webcams and distance-learning software (Blackboard
Collaborate). Distinguishing ourselves from other online language training programs, we enable students to
interact with a native Mandarin speaker. Students are able to ask questions and get feedback on pronunciation and participate in a meaningful way. Each of our Chinese instructors is bilingual and possesses a
university degree in Chinese, Linguistics, or Education and receives ongoing training in Mandarin teaching
methods. The Mando Mandarin program has a strong focus on pronunciation to minimize language barriers
between native Chinese speakers and students. We also incorporate mnemonics to simplify the rules of
grammar usage. Utilizing our method, students learn quickly and correctly. Each course is customized to

HOW WE TEACH
ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES
(GRADING)
(60% Formative, 40% Summative):
These courses may or may not be graded
based on the client school's discretion.
Here are our recommended guidelines
for student assessment.
60% FORMATIVE
40% - Class Participation & Homework:
Students are expected to attend class regularly,
actively participate during every lesson, and
complete all homework assignments. Homework will
be graded based on effort and accuracy.
The reason homework is combined with class
participation is because the teacher will go over the
students' homework at the beginning of every class
by asking the students to discuss their answers
out loud.
20% - Class Project (take-home)
40% SUMMATIVE
15% - Quiz:
A fifteen-minute written quiz
25% - Final Exam:
A forty-minute oral and written exam at the
end of the course.

WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THE CLIENT SCHOOL
YOUR ONSITE TEACHER’S ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
#1 Online Chinese Language School for All Ages & Levels
• Work closely with your school’s IT department to solve any possible
technical problems. (e.g. students unable to log into the online classroom,
microphones not working, echoing, internet connection issues, etc.)
• Assisting our online Chinese teacher in managing the students' behavior
and disciplinary issues during each class session, in the following aspects:
1. Making sure students are responsive to the online teacher when they are
in front of the computer, instead of doing anything unrelated to the class.
2. Logging into the online classroom during the students’ active session to
assist our Chinese teacher in managing the students. (e.g. double checking if
students are focused on the current material, not browsing other pages or
tools in the online software, drawing on the whiteboard, holding private chat
sessions with each other about unrelated topics, and making sure they follow
the instructions given by the Chinese teacher, etc.)
• Our Chinese teacher will regularly contact your on-site teacher by phone or
email for updates, any problems, feedback, and suggestions related to the
course.
• Distributing course materials to students periodically and assisting the
Chinese teacher in course assessment. (such as organizing and submitting
quizzes, collecting homework, and grading, etc.)

FREE DEMO LESSON
A free demo lesson will allow us to test your school's internet speeds and
computer hardware, gauge interest from the students, and demonstrate our
teaching methodology. We want to make sure everything will run smoothly
before the course actually begins.
Lessons are held in an online classroom called Blackboard Collaborate
(formerly called Elluminate). Each individual has the option of accessing the
web-based software from his/her own computer. You can also project the
screen onto a Smartboard so that everyone can see. I welcome your other
faculty, parents, and students to join us as well.
