- Our Mission A community of God’s people: Christ leads us,
and the Spirit moves us to celebrate and
proclaim God’s love to all ages.
- Prayers and Visits –
In our continuing concerns we have many
people who request public prayers. When
they feel healing has come, please contact
the church office so we can remove their
name and celebrate giving God thanks! And
speaking of contacting, please call the
church office
regarding hospitalization, either upcoming
or at admission.
- This Weekend –
Assisted Listening radios are available on the
Sound Deck at the rear of the church.
Activity (busy) bags are available for our little
ones. Look for the bags in the coat room or
ask an usher.
Altar flowers are to the glory of God by Millie
Eckhoff in honor of her 90th birthday and in
honor of Bobbie Malchow’s birthday, and in
honor of Sylvia Schubring on her birthday
from Bill, Tracy & family, Willie, Wendy &
family, Brett, Lori & family.
Coffee & fellowship hour hosted today by
Third World Mission Store. All are invited
to join us in the Fireside Room between
services for coffee, juice, treats and
fellowship.

Vacation Bible School begins today!!!
Fern the leafy sea dragon is looking to
share God’s love this year at VBS Weird
Animals, where Jesus’ love is one of a
kind. Join Fern from Sunday, July 20
through 24, from 5:00 to 8:15 p.m., for
kids from ages 3 to 103, where we will
learn that when you’re left out, different,
don’t understand, do wrong, and afraid,
Jesus loves you! Registration is only $10
and dinner is $5 for the whole week! Sign
up today at our registration table in the
hallway.
NOT weird BUT AMAZING ANIMALS:
Stories of Amazing Grace – Join the
adult class for VBS Sunday, July 20–
Thursday, July 24 (Dinner 5pm; VBS 5:458:15pm) and watch two motion pictures of
incredible animals who teach unconditional
love. Participants will view Hachi: A Dog’s
Tale (2009 - Richard Gere and Joan
Allen), based on the true story of a
college professor's bond with the
abandoned dog he takes into his home,
and Dolphin Tale (2011- Morgan
Freeman, Ashley Judd, and Harry Connick
Jr.), inspired by the amazing true story of
Winter a bottlenose dolphin at the Marine
Aquarium, Clearwater, Florida. We will
watch sections of the films and discuss
themes of unconditional love, devotion,
companionship, healing, creation, and
what you observe, all combined with
God’s word. The class will meet in the
Founder’s Room.

Third World Mission Store – You’re invited to
check out the Helen Olson Memorial Garden
located just outside the East entrance (next
to Sunday School office). You may
recognize some common plants. Feel free to
take a copy of the info (in the white box) to
learn Bible references for the plants located
inside the fence. Third World Mission Store
purchases support this garden.
Music is the summer feature for Third
World artisans. Various instruments are in
the store with special pricing…1 for $5, 2
for $8, or 3 for $12. A very economical
way to make a joyful noise! Please use the
Honor Box. Thank you!
Pat Morris, Coordinator
Hephatha - We visit again and serve lunch on
August 31st. Bring the whole family. Check
the sign-up sheets on the side of the mail
boxes to see what food is still needed.
Please help! Call Kathy (414-543-4911)
with questions.
Hungry Lion - Have you fed him lately? Kids
get especially hungry in the summer. Don’t
forget them. Also needed are basic
hygiene supplies--toilet paper, soap,
shampoo, deodorant, sanitary napkins and
tampons etc. Donations are taken to Good
Samaritan Outreach Center.
School Supplies - Are you watching the ads?
Some of the best sales are not advertised.
We’re again collecting for the kids at Good
Samaritan Outreach Center. All basic
supplies are needed. Donations can be put
on the table in the hallway. As always--if
you can’t shop--we can do it for you.
Personal Care Kits - Our totals as of July 8 are
297 towels, 188 clippers, 457 combs, 226
toothbrushes, 660 (4 ounce) bars of soap
(two per kit). Donations should be put into
the soap box in the Fireside Room. The kits
will be sent to LWR in October. If you
would like to help assemble kits call Kathy
(414-543-4911).
- Stewardship -
SCRIP will be available this morning, but any
pre-orders won’t be available until Aug 3
due to a vacation. We once again thank all
the supporters of this program. We are on
track to raise $2000 by the end of the year
to help with the ministries here at Mt. Hope.
We urge more members to buy a card for
themselves or for a gift so we can support
the work of our church to an even greater
extent.
- Thank You Notes Special thanks to Wally Kopacz, and Bob and
Ann Rantanen for cleaning and weeding the
gardens next to the parking lot. It looks
great! Thank you!
Serenity Inn
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your generous gift of $1,066
given in June 2014.
The general support of donors like you is
crucial for us to reach our goal of helping
men choose recovery from addiction,
regardless of insurance status or ability to
pay.
This gift assists us in meeting the daily needs
of our recovering residents and helps us
provide quality programming as they learn
to live in recovery.
We are grateful for your partnership and
we sincerely appreciate your commitment to
our ministry and mission.
Thank you for your continued support.
Blessings,
Ellen Blathers
Executive Director
