JESUS RESPECTED MARRIAGE VOWS

was proud to serve, for voting to legalize marriage equality in my home state.
As President, I have always believed that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and

get married like anyone else. So tonight, Michelle and I are overjoyed for all the committed
couples in Illinois whose love will now be as legal as ours – and for their friends and family who

devour." It is necessary for us to be on guard at all times against the devil's tactics.

Asmodeus is also a lustful spirit he will motivate
a marriage partner to be unfaithful, thus
bringing an adulterous spirit. Many marriages
have been destroyed because of adultery,
extreme jealousy, rage and physical abuse.
Remember that men as well as women can be
affected by Asmodeus.
In mythical writings Asmodeus is the one who
killed the husbands of a young woman named Sara.
The first time she was to be married her husband
died on their wedding night. Seven times in all she
got married and in each case her husband died on
their wedding night. The reason was that Asmodeus
wanted this woman all to himself.

A lie that Asmodeus tells single people is that they
should stay single. The Scripture DOES tell us
(Matt. 19:12) that there are those who are definitely
called to be single, but it is the exception rather than
the rule. Many young people have labored intensely
over the issue of whether or not they should get
married. I believe it is safe to assume that unless
God definitely shows them otherwise (and He will if
it is His will) it is His plan for them to be married,
provided it is to the right individual.

Asmodeus is the same demon that tells people they should get a divorce so they can better
serve the Lord. In fact, somebody actually prophesied that to a minister. The word sounded
"good" to the man because his wife was not a Christian. Within days, however, she got saved and
he realized that a deceiving spirit had been speaking to him.2
32) ASMODAY.--The Thirty-second Spirit is Asmoday, or Asmodai. He is a Great King,
Strong, and Powerful. He appeareth with Three Heads, whereof the first is like a Bull, the second

He teaches many arts and sciences, is a destroyer and gives a "ring of virtues". Asmoday's

RABICAL WRITINGS
The name Asmodai is believed to derive from Avestan language *aēšma-daēva, where aēšma
means "wrath", and daēva signifies "demon". While the daēva Aēšma is thus Zoroastrianism's
demon of wrath and is also well attested as such, the compound aēšma-daēva is not attested in
scripture. It is nonetheless likely that such a form did exist, and that the Book of Tobit's
"Asmodaios" (Ἀσμοδαῖος) and the Talmud's "Ashmedai" (‫ )יאדמשא‬reflect it.[4]
The spellings Asmodai,[5][6] Asmodee,[7][8] Osmodeus,[9][10] and Osmodai[11][12] have also been
used. The name is alternatively spelled in the bastardized forms (based on the basic vowels
(YʾDMŠʾ ,‫אשמדאי‬Hashmedai (‫ שמ י‬, Hašmədʾāy; also Hashmodai, Hasmodai, Chashmodai,
Chasmodai),[13][14][15][16] Hammadai (‫י‬
, Hammadʾāy; also Chammadai),[17][18] Shamdon
( ‫ מ‬, Šamdōn),[19] and Sidonai (‫ ד י‬, Šidonʾāy).[18] Some traditions have subsequently
identified Shamdon as the father of Asmodeus.[19]
The Jewish Encyclopedia of 1906 refutes the otherwise accepted etymological relation
between the Persian "Æshma-dæva" and Judaism's "Ashmodai" claiming that the particle "dæva" could not have become "-dai" and that Æshma-dæva as such—a compound name—never
appears in Persian sacred texts. Still, the
encyclopedia proposes that the "Asmodeus" from
the Apocrypha and the Testament of Solomon
are not only related somewhat to Aeshma but
have similar behavior, appearance and roles,[20]
to conclude in another article under the entry
"Aeshma", in the paragraph "Influence of Persian
Beliefs on Judaism" [21] that Persian Zoroastrian
beliefs could have heavily influenced Judaism’s
theology on the long term, bearing in mind that
in some texts there are crucial conceptual
differences while in others there seems to be a
great deal of similarity, proposing a pattern of
influence over folk beliefs that would extend
further to the mythology itself in general.5

In the Kabbalah
According to the Kabbalah and the school of
Rashba, Asmodeus is a cambion born as the
result of a union between Agrat Bat Mahlat, a
succubus, and King David.[22]
In the Book of Tobit
The Asmodeus of the Book of Tobit is attracted to Sarah, Raguel's daughter, and is not
willing to let any husband possess her (Tobit 6:13); hence he slays seven successive husbands on
their wedding nights, impeding the sexual consummation of the marriages. He is described as
'the worst of demons'. When the young Tobias is about to marry her, Asmodeus proposes the
same fate for him, but Tobias is enabled, through the counsels of his attendant angel Raphael, to
render him innocuous. By placing a fish's heart and liver on red-hot cinders, Tobias produces a
smoky vapor that causes the demon to flee to Egypt, where Raphael binds him (Tobit 8:2-3).
According to some translations Asmodeus is strangled.
Asmodeus would thus seem to be a demon characterized by carnal desire; but he is also
described as an evil spirit in general: 'Ασμοδαίος τὸ πονηρὸν δαιμόνιον or τõ δαιμόνιον πονηρόν,
and πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον (Tobit 3:8; Tobit 3:17; Tobit 6:13; Tobit 8:3). It is possible, moreover,
that the statement (Tobit 6:14), "Asmodeus loved Sarah," implies that he was attracted not by
women in general, but by Sarah specifically.
In the Talmud
The figure of Ashmedai in the Talmud is less malign in character than the Asmodeus of
Tobit. In the former, he appears repeatedly in the light of a good-natured and humorous fellow.
But besides that, there is one feature in which he parallels Asmodeus, inasmuch as his desires
turn upon Solomon's wives and Bath-sheba. But even here, Ashmedai seems more like a Greek
satyr than an evil demon. [Original research?]
Another Talmudic legend has King Solomon tricking Asmodai into collaborating in the
construction of the Temple of Jerusalem.
THREE HEADED DEMON ASMODEUS
Another legend depicts Asmodai
throwing king Solomon over 400 leagues
away from the capital by putting one
wing on the ground and the other
stretched skyward. He then changed
places for some years with King
Solomon. When King Solomon returned,
Asmodai fled from his wrath.[23]
An aggadic narrative describes him as the
king of all the shades (Pesachim 109b–
112a). "Shadim" (plural of "shade") can
fly because they have wings. It is also
stated [who?] that they have chicken claws
as opposed to toes.
Another passage describes him as
marrying Lilith, who became his
queen.[24]
He has also been recorded as the offspring of the union between Adam and
the angel of prostitution, Naamah,
conceived while Adam was married to Lilith.
In the Testament of Solomon
In the Testament of Solomon, a 1st–3rd century text, the king invokes Asmodeus to aid in
the construction of the Temple. The demon appears and predicts Solomon's kingdom will one
day be divided (Testament of Solomon, verse 21–25).[25] When Solomon interrogates Asmodeus
further, the king learns that Asmodeus is thwarted by the angel Raphael, as well as by sheatfish
found in the rivers of Assyria. He also admits to hating water and birds because both remind him
of God.6
OSMODEUS/ASMODEUS OTHER WRITERS
In the Malleus Maleficarum
In the Malleus Maleficarum (1486), Asmodeus was considered the demon of lust.[26]
Sebastien Michaelis said that his adversary is St. John. Some demonologists of the 16th century
assigned a month to a demon and considered November to be the month in which Asmodai's
power was strongest. Other demonologists asserted that his zodiacal sign was Aquarius but only
between the dates of January 30 and February 8.
Osmodeus has 72 legions of demons under his command. He is one of the Kings of Hell
under Lucifer the emperor. He incites gambling, and is the overseer of all the gambling houses in
the court of Hell. Some Catholic theologians compared him with Abaddon. Yet other authors
considered Asmodeus a prince of
revenge.7
In the Dictionnaire Infernal
In the Dictionnaire Infernal by
Collin de Plancy, Asmodeus is
depicted with the breast of a man, a
cock leg, serpent tail, three heads
(one of a man spitting fire, one of a
sheep, and one of a bull), riding a lion
with dragon wings and neck, all of
these animals being associated with
either lascivity, lust or revenge.[citation

In the Lesser Key of Solomon
Asmodai appears as the king
'Asmoday' in the Ars Goetia, where
he is said to have a seal in gold and is
listed as number thirty-two according
to respective rank.[28]
He "is strong, powerful and
appears with three heads; the first is
like a bull, the second like a man, and
the third like a ram; the tail of a
serpent, and from his mouth issue
flames of fire."[29] Also, he sits upon
an infernal dragon, holds a lance with
a banner and, amongst the Legions of
Amaymon, Asmoday governs seventy
two legions of inferior spirits.[28] 9

The second plague of Egypt was frogs. God commanded Moses to tell Aaron to stretch the
staff over the water, and hordes of frogs came and overran Egypt. Pharaoh's sorcerers were also
able to duplicate this plague with their magic. However, since they were unable to remove it,
Pharaoh was forced to grant permission for the Israelites to leave so that Moses would agree to
remove the frogs. To prove that the plague was actually a divine punishment, Moses let Pharaoh
choose the time that it would end. Pharaoh chose the following day, and all the frogs died the
next day. Nevertheless, Pharaoh rescinded his permission, and the Israelites stayed in Egypt.


instructed Moses to tell Aaron to take the staff and strike at the dust, which turned into a
mass of kinam that the Egyptians could not get rid of. The Egyptian sorcerers declared
that this act was "the finger of God" since they were unable to reproduce its effects with
their magic.


The fourth plague of Egypt was of animals capable of harming people and livestock. The
Torah emphasizes that the ‘arob ( ‫ער‬, meaning "mixture" or "swarm") only came against
the Egyptians, and that it did not affect the Land of Goshen (where the Israelites lived).
Pharaoh asked Moses to remove this plague and promised to allow the Israelites'
freedom. However, after the plague was gone, the LORD "hardened Pharaoh's heart," and
he refused to keep his promise.[31]
The word ‘arob has caused a difference of opinion among traditional interpreters.[31] The
root meaning is related to "mixing".[32] While most traditional interpreters understand the
plague as "wild animals",[33] Gesenius along with many modern interpreters understand
the plague as a swarm of flies.[34]


The fifth plague of Egypt was an epidemic disease which exterminated the Egyptian
livestock; that is, horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep and goats. The Israelites' cattle
were unharmed. Once again, Pharaoh made no concessions.

The sixth plague of Egypt was šḥin ( ‫) י‬, a kind of skin disease, usually translated to
English as "boils". God commanded Moses and Aaron to each take two handfuls of soot

festering šḥin eruptions on Egyptian men and livestock. The Egyptian sorcerers were
afflicted along with everyone else, and were unable to heal themselves, much less the rest

The seventh plague of Egypt was a destructive storm. God commanded Moses to stretch
his staff skyward, at which point the storm commenced. It was even more evidently
supernatural than the previous plagues, a powerful shower of hail intermixed with fire.
The storm heavily damaged Egyptian orchards and crops, as well as people and livestock.
The storm struck all of Egypt except for the Land of Goshen. Pharaoh asked Moses to
remove this plague and promised to allow the Israelites to worship God in the desert,

MARRIAGE SATANIC BLOWS
How many in pulpits today have dealt treacherously with the wives of their youth? I can tell
you that some of the biggest names in American Christianity are guilty of this sin.
Marriage has suffered many satanic blows during this century. Satan hates marriage because
it is God’s first ordained institution. It is sacred to the Church but its bonds have been weakened;
many values have been shattered and people have lost their reverence for marriage because they
want to live free from God’s Commandments in sin.
The inspired Apostle Paul warned us: “Let no one deceive you,” (II Thess. 2:3).
It is clear that Christians can be vulnerable to deception and we must not forget it. We must
be on guard and protect ourselves against deceit. There is deception everywhere in the religious
world. We must be alert.
The Spirit of God revealed to John in a vision that in the last days, demon spirits would be
released upon the earth which would go forth to deceive the world. (Rev 16:13-14), “And I saw
three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the

beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.”

Ministry, has seen many Christians
who are bound by demonic powers. If

disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them, for you were once darkness, but now you
are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness,
righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the
fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them," (Eph. 5:6-11).
CHRISTIANS ARE DIVORCING
Charles Stanley, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Atlanta was divorced by his wife of 44
years who cited irreconcilable differences. To his credit he has not remarried however prior to
the divorce he stated, "If my wife divorces me, I would resign immediately." His failure to resign
would apparently make him a liar.
There is a time to "tell it to the Church"
Matthew 18...primarily for the true Church to
help
in
the
repentance
and
reconciliation. There are those examples in the
Bible where individuals are named and in some
case their sin so that other True Believers
would treat them Biblically. Our site is a

and a "tell it to the Church" as well as witness
to the non-believer of God's house being

Also, it's important to say Dr. Charles Stanley's sin and that of the elders and board of In
Touch, was quite public and remains so-before we sought to minister and care for them...though
we had previous contact before these happened years ago. 1 Corinthians 5 is an example. It is
with great sadness and shame on Christ's name that I heard Dr. Charles Stanley is now divorced
after seven years of separation from his wife. 12
John Hagee was pastoring a church in San Antonio Texas when he admitted to adultery. His
wife divorced him and took custody of their children uncontested by Hagee. A few months later
he married the woman with whom he had been committing adultery, the current Mrs. John
Hagee.
Clarence McClendon divorced his wife of 16 years (and mother of their 4 children) claiming
that he had a call to preach, not to be married. Seven days after his divorce was final he married a
woman who was a member of his Los Angeles congregation.
Earl Paulk, the man who counseled Clarence McClendon during his marriage and divorce
episode has been accused of multiple adulteries going all the way back to the early ’s. is
brother Don Paulk has likewise been accused of many sexual indiscretions. Both men have
admitted to some, but not all, of the accusations. Paulk’s wife of over 60 years continues to stand
by her man.

ORDAINATION OF AN ADULTEROUS PREACHER
Notorious televangelist Robert Tilton
left Dallas in disgrace more than a
decade ago and has been quietly
rebuilding his ministry. Tilton divorced
his first wife and soon after secretly
married his second wife. That marriage
subsequently ended in divorce. Tilton
is now on his third marriage while still
claiming to speak for God on
television, asking people to make a
$1,000 vow of faith. He is now living
with his third wife, Maria. 13

1940, in Muskegon, Michigan) is an
American televangelist, a former
Assemblies of God minister, and a
former host (with his then-wife
Tammy Faye Bakker) of The PTL
Club, a popular evangelical Christian
television program. A sex scandal led
to his resignation from the ministry.
Subsequent revelations of accounting
fraud brought about his imprisonment
and divorce and effectively ended his
time in the larger public eye.14
TV evangelist Paula White, who is
a frequent speaker at a San Antonio
church where she recently formed a
ministry partnership, and her husband,
Randy, announced Thursday night that
they plan to divorce after a nearly 18year marriage.
Todd Bentley, Rick Joyner from MorningStar, dated 9th March 2009 has appeared – note
the date, two days after the news broke on this website and others of Todd Bentley
remarrying his mistress Jessica who Todd had been carrying on with in an adulterous affair
even before the Lakeland Outpouring started.15 Todd was still married with children.
Richard Roberts married his first wife, Patti, in 1968, and they divorced in 1979. They had
two daughters, Christine and Julene. Roberts divorced his first wife to marry his current wife,
Lindsay who was an ORU student at the time.
Bishop Eddie L. Long
He's been cited for contempt of court in the Evander Holyfield divorce and is divorced And
exposed as a child molester.
Juanita Bynum has continued her preaching ministry. Bynum is also a regular consultant for
FOX TV's Divorce Court and has been permanently added to the cast of the TV series Lincoln
Heights. She has a history of divorce, and was an excellent selection for the Divorce Court
television show. 16
A local pastor in Jacksonville, Florida divorced his wife to marry his song director. After his
divorce, he told the other pastors that, “his first wife was hurting his ministry because she took
drugs. (Her drugs were proscribed for epilepsy by her physician). He also spread rumors that she
was a lesbian which was not true. He left town with his new wife after he was caught
masturbating on church grounds.
These are just a few of the higher profile names that have dealt treacherously with the wife
of their youth. How many more are there? How many smaller church pastors are guilty of this
sin?
Just to name a small number of ministers which is the basic problem in the Church that is
full of uncommitted Christians. They are full of rebellion, spiritual and sexual perversion,
adultery, lust, incest, fornication, oral sex, whoredom, homosexuality, hate and ability to forgive
and every bondage under the sun. 17
The big three in destroying people are sex, money, and power. One is sufficient to eternally
destroy. Focus your attention on Jesus and His authority and ability to conquer.
Locally, a powerful minister fell into adultery and lost his pulpit. He ended going to the
streets taking crack and living with prostitutes. Another minister found him and tried to restore
him. He said, Jody, (not real name), I know Pat Holliday, I will bring her and she can deliver
you.” Jody replied, “Don’t bring that woman around, she’ll cast all my sex devils out.” I firmly
believe that deliverance is one of the most needed ministries in the Christian church at the
present time. However, Christians must want to be committed to Jesus and they must want to be
free.
In Matthew 7:21-23, He said - "Not
everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in
Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy
name done many wonderful works? And then
will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."
Here Jesus emphasized the sharp contrast
between the mere talkers and the doers of His
will. There were those who were calling Him
Lord and Master - who were professing
subjection to Him. Because of their mere
profession, they were consequently claiming
admittance into the "kingdom of heaven," yet
they were destitute of piety, holiness, or being
separated unto Him. Their outward profession
of Christianity - however remarkable - was not
enough to bring them to heaven - that is,
without being totally committed to the Truth
and righteousness as revealed in His Word, one thing that is definitely overlooked in the
Christian circles of today. 18

REPENTANCE AND CONFESSION BRINGS HEALING AND PURIFICATION
The Body of Christ will face Satanic - demonic confrontation greater than at any other time
in history. It will be a time of intensified spiritual warfare where demons will manifest
themselves and will be in direct confrontation with God’s people.
(I Jn. 1:9; Jam. 5:15-16).
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to stand,” (Eph. 6:11-13).
“The spirit of the Lor is upon me e ause he hath anointe me to prea h the ospel to the
poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach DELIVERANCE TO THE
CAPTIVES, and recovering of sigh to the blind, to SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE

FAMILY ABUSE
When we acknowledge Jesus Christ as the new Lord of our life, God gives us a new nature.
Whenever we follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit we establish spiritual patterns on our new
nature. We received our nature, God cuts the power of our old nature but the sin patterns exists in
the carnal side of our being. 19
When God states, He that covereth his sin shall not prosper, and, Whatever a man sows he
will also reap. When we are over a previous sin habit, there is a pull from the lower nature to
fulfil it. If we surrender to sensuality we create new pressures of resisting the Holy Spirit and
quench His power in us. When we resist these impulses by internalizing Scripture, especially the
Psalms, we soon build spiritual patterns equal to the sin patterns.
When the spiritual patterns are stronger then the former sin patterns, we have a greater
desire to do what is right than to do what is wrong. This is the basis of moral freedom20.
“The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him and delivereth them,”
(Psa. 34:7).
The condition for protection is to forsake evil. Anger and wrath are sin, not just weaknesses
and Paul also mentions stealing and evil speech in (Eph. 4:28,29).
“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached or if ye
receive another spirit which ye have not received . . .” (II Cor. II:4).

In His life, Jesus is our example. In His death Jesus is our redeemer. In His burial, Jesus is

all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting
them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man unto the
wilderness. And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited:
and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness," (Lev. 16:20:22).
In His Resurrection, Jesus is our justification. He has ascended and sits at the right hand of
God the Father, and He is our Mediator, our head, (See: Jn. 3:16); (Jn. 2:8,9); (Acts 16:31);
(Rom. 10:9,10); (Tit. 3:5,6); (Jn. 1:12, 13).
DOCTRINE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS
We find the nature, design, need and results of the atonement purchased by Jesus at the
tremendous price of His own blood, shed willingly on the cross in the Bible.
Webster’s dictionary defines the word atonement: The reconciliation of God and man
though the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ is preparation for an offense or injury, satisfaction,
the exemplifying of man's oneness with God.

remission. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he
obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and by it he being dead yet
speaketh…” (Heb. 11:4).
We are saved because of God's love. God is love.
NEW CONVERT SALVATION
Everyone has questions about God. What is He like? Does He really care about me? How
can I know Him?
You must know that Jesus Christ is the only Redeemer, and Savior.
Where are you spiritually? Do you know Jesus? If the answer is no, then you must know
that salvation is through God's Word.
Accept God's Word that He loves you and wants to give you an abundant life.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life," (Jn. 3:16).
"I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly," (Jn.
10:10).
Accept God's word that you are a sinner and this separates you from God and that you must
truly repent or "turn away" from sin. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
(Rom .3:23). "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord . . .," (Rom. 6:23)."But God commandeth His love toward us, in that while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us,” (Rom. 5:8).
Accept through His Word that Jesus Christ is our only contact with God; "Jesus saith unto
him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” (Jn.
14:6). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ
Jesus…" (I Tim. 2:5). “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of
sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel,” (Heb. 12:24).
Receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by your personal invitation. "But as many as
received Him to them gave he the power to become the sons of God," (Jn. 1:12). "Behold I
stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into
Him . . . " Christ speaking (Rev. 3:20). God's solution is salvation by grace through faith in
Jesus.
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to
another, and be clothed with humility, for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the
humble,” (I Pet. 5:5).
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you,” (I Pet.
5:10).
Make a decision and trust God for the results.
Will you receive Christ? You can be saved in seconds! Open the door and pray this simple
sinner’s prayer!
Dear Father, I'm a lost sinner. I repent. Please forgive me and come into my heart and save
me. Thank You for saving my soul in Jesus' name, Amen.
HOLY SPIRIT WITH FIRE
Jesus is the Baptizer
“And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John,
whether he were the Christ, or not; 16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize
you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to
unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan is in his hand,
and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff
he will burn with fire unquenchable,” (Lk. 3:15-17).
Jesus wants to fill all who will receive and wisely and lovingly the use the Gifts of the Holy
Spirit. He is in glory sitting on His Throne at the right hand of God giving to His Church His
Divine power.
“Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the
promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear,” (Acts 2:33).
“(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified),” (Jn. 7:39).
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he
hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather
together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in
him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be
to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ,” (Eph. 1: 6-12).
As a part of his revealing and witnessing ministry, the Holy Spirit acts to Convince or
Convict people of the Divine power of Jesus, putting into full operation the work which Christ
had affected. Through the Christian ministry, the Spirit convicts the word of sin, exposing all
claims of righteousness outside Christ; he bears witness to and glorifies Christ by proclaiming
that the truly Righteous One has returned to his Father in heaven; and through proclamation of
the resurrection, he announces the judgment which has been passed on Satan, (Jn. 16:8-11).
CONDITIONS TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
There are seven conditions: For Believers only, Repentance, Baptism, Thirsting, Asking,
Drinking, yielding . . . Salvation.
"Believe, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost," (Acts 2: 38).
Christians need this power to be effective witnesses for Christ!
BAPTISM IS CLEARLY SHOWN IN THE BIBLE
Speaking of the gift of the Holy Spirit, Paul stresses faith, while Peter stresses obedience.
Complete faith results in complete obedience.
Peter says that when our obedience is complete, the gift of the Holy Spirit is ours.
The Holy Spirit is received by Christians after salvation.
1. Day of Pentecost – (Acts 2:4).
2. Samaria (what did Simon See?) - (Acts 8:14).
3. Cornelius' house (before water Baptism.) – (Acts 10:44-46).
4. Ephesians disciples – (Acts 19: 1-6).
5. World cannot receive (only for Believers) – (Jn. 14: 17).
6. "Father" will give to them that ask (guaranteed if He's your Father), (Lk. 11:13).
When you are saved, you receive Jesus.
This speaks of another experience when you ask your Father for the Holy Spirit.
Remember. Repentance is an inward change of heart and attitude to God. The Baptism of the
Holy Spirit is an outward act by which the believer testifies to inward change wrought by God's
grace in his heart.
Complete faith results in complete obedience.
Peter says that when our obedience is complete, the gift of the Holy Spirit is ours.
HOLY SPIRIT WILL NOT SPEAK OF HIMSELF
The Holy Spirit is never going to lift a personality up, nor will He lift Himself up. He will
only lift the name of Jesus up because Jesus is the only One that can save a soul.
“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when
he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to
come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All
things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall
shew it unto you," (Jn. 16:12-15).
The Holy Spirit receives the things of Jesus in the Bible and reveals it to us. Jesus was
crucified, raised from the dead, and went to heavenly Father.
So Jesus was crucified, raised from the dead, and went to heaven for a short talk with His
heavenly Father. That same resurrection evening, He came back and had a little talk with the
disciples, saying unto them: "Peace be unto you; as my Father has sent me, even so send Io
you. When He had said this, “He breathed on them and saith unto them RECEIVE YE THE
HOLY GHOST! And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Ghost,” (Jn. 20:22).
“ But this spake he of the Spirit, hi h they that elieve on him shoul re eive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified), (Jn. 7:39).
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth,” (Acts 1:8).
