MATERIALS: Less than 1 oz of Red Heart Designer Sport in Cocoa (3369) and Latte (3301), small amount of any
color yarn for the guitar’s strap, size H crochet hook, small amount of cardboard, small amount of craft fiber fill
(stuffing), small amount of size 10 crochet thread in white (or color of your choice) and needle to take both the yarn
and crochet thread.
GAUGE: 4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Guitar is 10” long.
FRONT/BACK:
ROW 1: With Latte and H hook ch-8, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
ROW 2-4: 2 hdc 1st st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)(10 sts)(12 sts)
ROW 5-6: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 7-9: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc ea st across to last 2 sts, hdc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)(8 sts)(6 sts)
ROW 10-11: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 12-13: 2 hdc 1st st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)(10 sts)
ROW 14: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 15-17: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc ea st across to last 2 sts, hdc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. End row 17 fasten off.

-Make 2. 1 in Latte and 1 in Cocoa. Using the finished piece as a pattern, cut 2 out of cardboard.
CENT
ER HOLE FOR FRONT OF GUITAR:
With Cocoa and H hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, join Latte, fasten off Cocoa, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: Sl st ea st around, fasten off.
Sew to center front of Latte guitar piece.
FRET:
With Cocoa and H hook ch-5, fasten off.
Sew to front of guitar just behind the center hole.
SIDES:
ROW 1: With Cocoa and H hook ch-4, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc last ch, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 2-48: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 48 fasten off.
Sew around one side of the guitar. Place 1st cardboard cut out onto sewn piece. Sew second guitar to sides inserting
last cardboard cut out and stuffing lightly to hold its shape.
GUITAR NECK:
ROW 1: With Cocoa and H hook ch-5, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2-19: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 19 fasten off.
-Make 2.
END OF GUITAR NECK:
ROW 1: With Cocoa and H hook ch-7, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (5 sts)
ROW 2-4: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 4 fasten off.
-Make 1 of Cocoa and 1 of Latte. Sew one to ea end of neck. Sew the neck with the Latte end (beginning at the
circle “hole”) to the guitar. Rep for the back. Sew both necks together. With needle and crochet thread sew on
strings for the guitar.
STRAP:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-6, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 2-48: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 48 fasten off.
Sew to ea end of guitar.
