We weight your GPA at 60% and your LSAT at 40%.
Do you consider all my undergraduate
marks?
when can i expect to hear whether i have been
admitted?
We have rolling admissions, with offers being made as early as
October and continuing to May. In May, we review all outstanding
applications to be considered for a possible interview. If you are
selected for an interview, we will contact you by the end of May
to set one up. Interviews take place in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto
and Halifax.
what scholarships and bursaries are
available?
Every year, we award over $1.2m dollars in scholarships and bursaries
to our students. We aim to have the most generous scholarship
and bursary program of any law school in Canada. Currently, over
half of our students recieve funding to help with their studies.

When assessing transcripts, we take into consideration either your
overall GPA or your last 2 years (10 credits), whichever is better.

If you have written the LSAT multiple times, we will use your highest
score.
do you consider letters of reference, extracurricular activities and/or work experience?
We place most consideration on your GPA and LSAT score. However,
our Admissions Committee will consider your extra-curricular
activities and/or work experience.

2 letters of reference (Appendix A) – If you are currently attending
university or have been out of school for 3 years or less, you must
provide academic references, otherwise you can submit either
personal or employment letters of reference.
Medical statement (Appendix B) – This is only required if you have
had a medical condition that may have affected your studies in
the past.
1 official transcript from each college/university attended.
LSAT – Your LSAT score(s) will be retrieved electronically.

The Schulich School of Law is on the main Studley campus of Dalhousie
University, and is walking distance to the downtown core., where you’ll
find art galleries, museums, theatres, festivals, sport events, lively pubs,
quaint cafés and, of course, friendly Haligonians. Check out shops,
restaurants and historic buildings as you stroll along the world’s longest
harbourfront boardwalk.
Halifax’s weather varies from warm summer days to leisurely falls, crispfresh winters, and vibrant springs. Summer (June–September) tends
to be warm (18°C to 30°C), cooling off in mid-late September. Winter
(December–March) temperatures range from -15°C to 2°C. While it’s not
uncommon to take shelter from a snow storm, Haligonians also love to
revel in outdoor winter activities such as skating, skiing and ice hockey.
Temperatures normally begin to rise again in late March/early April.
