How to Apply for a Grant
Introduction
The Employees Community Fund of The Boeing Company (known as ECF or the Fund) is a unique employeeowned and managed giving program that allows employees to support the needs of their local communities via
tax-deductible recurring payroll deductions or one-time gifts.
In practice, ECF is comprised of locally owned, employee-managed pooled funds at more than 60 Boeing sites
around the world. Each Fund tailors its giving to meet community needs.
Grants awarded in the National Capital Area typically range from $5,000 to $10,000. To be eligible for
consideration, agencies must qualify with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization. Additionally,
the National Capital Area charter allows for grants to organizations that focus on health and human services,
arts, education and the environment. Organizations must commit to spending received funds for local needs.
