PWR-TRAFO KIT
This is a 25VA rated toroidal transformer. Toroidal transformers are commonly used in noise sensitive
equipment or high end audio products. They are specially designed to work on all standard 115V or 230V at
50Hz or 60Hz. These transformers use heavier gauge wires than the normal requirement to avoid the
copper losses during the full power output. The dielectric test is more than 3500V in between primary and
secondary coils. This transformer comes with 2 rubber pads and all mounting hardware.
How to mount the transformer:
1. Drill a 1/4” hole. Insert bolt.
2. Insert rubber pad/insulator.
3. Mount toroid transformer.

5. Install metal cap, washer and nut. Tighten but do
not overtighten.
Mains Line Wiring Guide: For 115V operation, wire
the primaries in parallel (RED to RED, BLACK to
BLACK). For 220V operation, wire the primaries in
series, i.e. connect BLACK and RED wire together.

Secondary Wiring Guide:
- For use with the PSU-1848 PSU kit (and the PSU-2448 kit), connect the inner BLUE and GREEN wires
together. Solder them to the CT pad on the PSU PCB. Also solder the GREEN and BLUE wires to AC1 and
AC2 on the PSU PCB.
- For use with the PSU-4448 kit, wire the inner BLUE and GREEN wires together. Insulate securely with
tape or heatshrink tubing. Wire the GREEN and BLUE wire to the PSU-4448 PCB.
OBSERVE HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL.
