LA BANDERA: AURION’S FLAGSHIP PROPERTY Mexico City La Bandera • 3 hour drive north of Durango City, in the Sierra Madre Occidental, one of the world’s most prolific volcanic arcs for epithermal gold deposits and mines. • Geological setting, structural disposition, widespread boiling textures, low-T alteration, and fluid inclusions indicate that the upper levels of the system are preserved. La Bandera is currently under option to AuRico Gold Inc. AuRico to spend $5 million over 3 years with a firm commitment to spend $1 million on La Bandera in 2011. 5000 metre drill now underway. • Limited exploration conducted by previous workers. Since acquisition in late 2009, Aurion systematically advanced the property with mapping, prospecting, soil geochemistry, SWIR alteration studies and hand trenching - this work has generated significant new targets. • Ranked as 6th best mining jurisdiction in the world in 2010 by Fraser Institute, Mexico is the world’s largest producer of silver and its gold production has increased by 139% since 2005 (INEGI). • La Bandera occupies the central 30 km of an >50 km long NW trending mineralized structural zone. • Historic production 6 km north of La Bandera at Promontorio includes 250,000 t @ 20 g/t Au and 3500 g/t Ag. Promontorio Veins La Bandera • 10 km SE at Coneto, over 40 high-grade Ag-Au veins are currently being explored by Orex Minerals Inc. and its JV partner Fresnillo PLC. • The 12,985 ha La Bandera property envelopes a >20 km long, 40 to 150 m wide epithermal gold-rich vein system associated with rhyolite flow dome complexes. • La Bandera was originally discovered by La Cuesta, co-discoverers of Camino Rojo in Zacatecas, Mexico (3.4 M oz Au, 60.7 M oz Ag; Goldcorp website). Best intercepts came from DDH BNW-5: 0.6 g/t Au over 15.5 m including 2.2 g/t over 0.7 m. No follow-up drill work had been done until now. 10,000 to 73,700 3,000 to 10,000 1,000 to 3,000 500 to 1,000 100 to 500 50 to 100 0 to 50 Geology Legend Basin Fill Alluvium Pyroclastics, Basin Fill Alluvium (Undifferentiated) Sinter Pool Felsic Flow-Dome Bandera Dome Margins and Surface Bandera Dome Feeder Feldspar-Quartz-Biotite Porphyritic Intrusive Massive Lithic/Crystal Tuff Breccia Bedded Pyroclastic and Epiclastic Volcanics • Aurion’s work on the northern half of the property outlined an open-ended 2300 m long by 300 m wide gold-in-soil-and-rock anomaly. Soil values range up to 2 g/t Au. Rock samples assayed up to 74 and 48 g/t Au. Visible Gold was identified at three localities. Lower Series Andesite • Anomalous gold values are coincident with robust alteration dominated by low-T clays (illite, smectite) and widely spaced quartz veinlets with epithermal boiling textures. Geological Contact Geological Fault • Vein textures, alteration and geochemistry are all consistent with upper levels of an epithermal system indicating that the system is preserved and essentially uneroded. • La Bandera is under option to AuRico Gold Inc. AuRico to spend $5 million over 3 years, including a $1 million firm commitment for 2011. A >5000 m drill program is now underway. 3Silica-laminated mud-algae 5.00 0 growths; forms in mud pools at surface of epithermal systems. kilometers 5Geological sketch map of La Bandera Property, showing gold-in-rock values.
