What is new in WinMOD 7.0 ?
Dear Customer,
we are pleased to present to you the latest version of
our real-time simulation and software testing platform
WinMOD 7.0.
In recent years, much functionality of WinMOD proved
stable, versatile and in fact ahead of its time. Even so,
several new developments were incorporated,
concerning the coupling of automation systems, the
performance of add-ons, know-how protection, the
efficiency of workflows, etc.
A major trend shows that in several branches WinMOD
becomes integral to over-all project performance. For
this purpose WinMOD provides new means for
integration into the over-all data flow.
Furthermore, WinMOD 7.0 runs completely on
Windows 7, including all Configurations and Add-Ons.
We are now glad to show you the new features in more
detail in the following presentation.

PLC programmers for efficiently testing without the real installation.
The concept was adopted by operating companies for Factory
Acceptance Tests (FAT), what strongly shortens commissioning.

WinMOD provides various open interfaces, exports and imports, and
fluently integrates with various real time systems. The extended
usages and the interleaved usage throughout the whole project
performance is now supported by functionality for planning, extensive
data exchange with engineering data bases, etc. This reflects the
strategic importance that WinMOD gains in over all project
performance.
More Simulation for Less Mouse-Clicks
FAT
The FATs - that test mostly IO-behaviour - were extended to complete
commissioning procedures for automation systems. The resulting
virtual WinMOD Installations enable complete tests of all operating
sequences of the real installation. Deeper process modelling and the
introduction of 3D complemented the usage for simulator training for
operators and maintenance personnel. Today, WinMOD Installations
can accompany the real installation throughout its further life-cycle.

most of the time used to replace a Macro
with a new version of the same Macro
Type.
For this reason, the Macro Type is
automatically inserted into the dialog for
opening the Macro File, if the type is unique.
This saves time for typing and selecting the
macro type and prevents trouble arising
from accidentally typing or selecting a wrong
name.

format in percent was assigned to the
graphical wiring.
