How does it work ? Higher altitude wind The company 30
WIND ENERGY 2.0
The company
Mechanical energy is generated by flying controlled cycles A and B
with Twings and transformed into electrical energy in a ground based
generator.
TwingTec develops and produces innovative wind energy
technology using tethered wings, or Twings.
The first product of TwingTec is the TT50, the first mobile 50 kW
renewable energy system.

Low cost of energy
A
50
- Low investment and installation cost
- Efficient energy production
- More economical sites
Minimal environmental impact
- Minimal visibility and noise
- Saves 90% of the material of a comparable wind turbine

A
Power phase: The Twing flies crosswind loops, and
pulls on the tethers that spin the drum. The generator
connected to the drum produces electrical power.
B
Retraction phase: Having reached a threshold altitude, the
Twing is depowered and reeled in with minimal energy. A
new power phase can then start.
