‘Supporting the Aerospace and Oil Industries with Military precision’ Oil and Gas ‘Supporting the Aerospace and Oil Industries with Military precision’ Oil and Gas AT Engine Controls Ltd are the design authority for the DIGICON® / SEQUEL® range of equipment providing support for the gas turbine control systems and equipment previously built and supplied by Hawker Siddeley Dynamics Engineering®, HSDE®, Vosper Thornycroft Controls® and VTC Engine Controls®. Digicon Overview The DIGICON Unit Control Panel (UCP) is a modular control system designed for Industrial Gas Turbine and associated Plant control. The DIGICON system provides a wealth of standard control and monitoring features which are easily and rapidly configured to provide a tailored Gas Turbine control system. The objective of the UCP system is to control the Plant equipment in a safe and efficient way. This generally is carried out by two related processes: • Plant Sequencing - This sequencing controls the operation of the Gas turbine governor by determining, at any time, the type of governing control required • Gas Turbine Governing Control - providing closed loop control of the gas generator, power turbine and driven load in a stable manner. In addition to these two main control processes, the UCP must ensure the safe operation of the plant, by analysing the health of signals and plant processes. Sophisticated, but easily configured features are provided within the UCP to allow comprehensive Fault Monitoring and Failure Management to ensure the safe operation of the total plant. The system must also provide control, indication and annunciation of the operation and condition of the plant. These Operator Interfaces are presented, either locally or remotely, via computer based Colour Graphics stations and hardwired Operator panels. SAFE EFFICIENT CONTROL
