Why NovoLet® is being discontinued?*
As part of the Novo Nordisk commitment to improving the lives of
people with diabetes, the company has developed modern insulin
pens with improved design features. We want to make sure that as
many people as possible realise the benefits of these newer devices
and we have therefore discontinued NovoLet®. Novo Nordisk offers
alternatives to NovoLet® and provides the opportunity to upgrade
from NovoLet® to Novo Pen® 3, the reliable choice worldwide.
When will NovoLet® be retired?*
The production of NovoLet® was stopped in Q1 2010 and in Pakistan
stocks will be available till January 2011.
What options will be available to patients?*
For all patients currently on NovoLet® will be provided with Free
Novo Pen® 3 which can be used with Novo Nordisk Insulin Penfills®
as per their requirement.
What patients need to do?*
Patients are requested to consider following information to get free
Novo Pen® 3.
1- Consult their doctor for a prescription of Novo Pen® 3
2- Call our Toll Free Helpline 0800-78427 for free home delivery
of Novo Pen® 3.
3- Patients will receive Novo Pen® 3 Starter Kit at their door step
along with the initial training on using Novo Pen® 3.
4- Patients are encouraged to purchase their required insulin
Penfill® from the nearby Pharmacy.
