These tools may also be used in combination with ASME design calculations based on the ASME materials. According to BS 5500 calculations the AD-S3 tools can be used in an analogous way. For load cases like testing, installation, emergency conditions etc individual safety coefficients will be taken into account. The pressure, forces and moments as result of the different load types are listed for critical locations (lowest point of each round, transition from pressurized vessel wall to skirt, base ring …) and summed up with aspect to different types of approvals. For special load cases (for example ‘testing‘) special rates of loads (for example only 20% of the working load) can be defined. For characteristic sections (transition from pressurized vessel wall to skirt, base ring …) the loads (pressure, forces, moments) are automatically transferred to concerning design tools of the AD-S series (S3/1 to S3/5) Price as addition to the AD-S3 series with Report Generator and automatic load transfer excl. VAT € 5600 Environmental loadings resulting in forces and moments, displacements, natural frequencies … In addition to the ‘load evaluation acc. to AD-S3/0 …’, where columns are handled as fixed beams, the user is free to define the support structure. The analysis of displacements, forces, moments and natural frequencies are done on a Finite Element basis (beams). The evaluations are a preprocessor step for wind/earthquake approvals according to the methods of the AD-S3 series.
