Linda Cerni Klug has 20 years of experience in
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program

Project Manager leading all Business Continuity
consulting engagements within Charles Schwab,
Inc. Worked with department executives to develop
recovery plans for several business units, two data
centers, and a call center. Conducted staff training
and exercises relevant to the plans.
• Thomson Financial
Global gap analysis addressing over 150 business
units. Prioritized applications, data sets, and
established recovery tiers.
• United Airlines
Led the management team to develop their
corporate risk management goals, and met with all
department executives and key managers to
complete a corporate-wide Business Impact
Analysis. The work led to a significant realignment of
IT spending as a result of better understanding
business requirements.
• Fidelity Investments
Worked closely with internal client Business
Continuity Management staff and corporate
executives to develop a 2-year program
development roadmap. Met with nearly all executive
staff to develop the corporate-wide roadmap.
• Nike
Project Manager leading three additional consultants
to develop a comprehensive business continuity
plan for a distribution facility and call center. Led
workshops to develop plans, delivered training to all
relevant staff, designed and executed a real-time
exercise involving over 100 participants.

Led the NWA executive management team to
develop their corporate risk management goals, and

managers to complete a corporate-wide Business

Experience
• California Coastal Floods - 2/98 – 3/98
As a Deputy Logistics Officer, Linda implemented
the disaster response plans, managing a team of
over 55 personnel, and supervising six Assistant
Officers. She also successfully supported the
logistics needs of fourteen counties, a 3.2 milliondollar operation.
• Delta Hotel Fire - 8/97 - 9/97
Linda led a team of seven to provide logistic support
to a total operation staff of fifty.
• Idaho Flooding - 2/96 – 3/96
As a Situation Status Branch Chief, Linda
assembled and analyzed operational statistics,
wrote daily status briefings, and developed a
management transition plan for the movement of all
field operations to FEMA region offices.
• California Flooding - 6/95 – 9/96
Serving as a Mission Assignment Coordinator, Linda
directed the activities of external agencies under the
Federal Response Plan, as well as processed the
billings from external agencies and assured
regulation compliance.
• War in Former Yugoslavia – 4/94 – 4/95
Linda was second in command of a Logistics unit of
25 staff, and supervised convoy deliveries to five UN
Sector camps. In addition, she also coordinated
airlift re-supply missions to neighboring UN
operations in other countries.
• Northridge Earthquake - 2/94
As a Government Liaison Technician and a Logistics
Specialist, Linda established the Invoice Review Unit
for the Logistics function, and also helped to
problem-solve operation challenges.
• Great Mid-West Floods - 9/93 – 12/93
As Logistics Specialist, Linda supported an
operation that spanned 5 states and 1200 staff.
