Sometimes we can GIVE a fair bit and still fall at a stumbling block. The ONLY way to succeed after encountering stumbling blocks is to stick together, get over any perceived or real hurts and GO AGAIN – TOGETHER until we do succeed. Success is only as close to us as to how hard you are prepared to work again. So let us all get tough with each other GIVE EVEN MORE and do the work as a committed group. 2014 Motto: “PLAY YOUR ROLE” “BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT THE PROBLEM” 3 PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES PLAYER CONDUCT ON & OFF FIELD • Each and every player/coach/trainer must ensure their conduct be of the highest regard to other persons and property. The events of the end of last season will be a thing of the past. In the event that an individual’s behavior be deemed unacceptable either by the coaching staff or Club Executive, disciplinary action overseen by the Club President will be taken by the club as it sees fits. MEMBERSHIP • It is your responsibility to pay all relevant membership requirements. These must be paid prior to Round 3 to ensure selection. See Mark Trotter (Seniors) or Geoff Schmidt (U19’s). GAME DAY UNIFORMS • You are representing the GFC and impressions count. Black pants/jeans to be worn with GFC polo or jumper on game day (before and after the game). Be proud of who you represent! INJURIES • It is your task to ensure you do everything possible to ensure your best recovery. You are expected to be at training each night – to be monitored by the trainers constantly. Ensure that you keep in contact with coaching staff regarding your injury. Because you’re injured doesn’t mean you stop being a team mate. INJURED & UNAVAILABLE ON GAME DAY • Discipline rule • NO drinking of alcohol until after the senior game. (Even if you are an U/19 or seconds player you are to abstain.) Your fellow team mates after the early games can enjoy a drink for they have worked hard on the track and have played their match. Take your injury serious and be disciplined about your recuperation. INSURANCE • $10 (seniors) or $5 (U19’s) each week needs to be paid on game day to Team Manager (Seniors) or Geoff Schmidt. (U19’s) 4 Player Responsibilities Cont’d TRAINING NIGHTS- Late or absent • In the event you are unable to train or are running late you need to text or ring one of the coaching staff. If you miss a training night you are expected to undertake a catch-up training session with either the Under 19’s or seniors. GAME DAY CLEAN UP • After the game make sure that the rooms are left how they were found. All rubbish to be placed in bins in the rooms and players bags to be pushed under the seats. Treat the facilities like it is your home. SOCIAL FUNCTIONS • All functions have been well planned and notifiied well in advance. (see Page ??
