The Hub is a new Cancer Support Drop In at Crossgates Methodist Church (rear entrance) 11am-1pm on the first Monday of every month Where those who have the experience of cancer are welcome to access support. This can be regularly, or from time to time, for part of, or the whole of a session as each individual feels is necessary. The aim is to provide a warm and friendly environment where people can build friendships, share experiences, build peer support, access listening services with people who understand first hand. Hopefully, also sharing some laughter and fun over a cuppa and a snack. This service is free; relying on local fund-raising. Save the Day/Date Chrismon Day is fast approaching (29th November) I will be collecting gold and white items that can be used to make Chrismon tree decorations. There will be a collection point in the link. ~ Margaret PS: I am also collecting buttons and metal zips of any shape, size and colour, to be upcycled. Owing to the expected birth of Jason and Claire's baby, Boys’ Brigade will have fewer leaders during November and the start of December. If anyone would be willing to help out by coming along to a meeting as an extra adult helper please sign up on the sheet on the BB board in the hall. Any offer of help will be gratefully received. One World Week Service `Living Differently` AN INVITATION TO LUNCH. I would like to celebrate my forthcoming 80th birthday with you all. I have a lot to be thankful for in my life. The Church and Church Family mean a lot to me and I see no better way to celebrate than by inviting you all to lunch on Sunday 16th November. The hall is booked for lunch after the service. In a week or two, when you have had time to consider if you can join me, I will put a note on the notice board for you to add your names. I will need to know for catering purposes.
