English, Maths, Science, History (Semester 1) and Geography (Semester 2) are compulsory core subjects for all students in Years 7, 8 & 9. Study of a Language is also compulsory until the end of Year 8. Year 7 & 8 students will also study one introductory elective subject each semester. These include Introduction to Art, Music, Performing Arts and Media, Health & Physical Education, Home Economics and Information & Communication Technologies (ICT). Students wishing to study a Language in Years 11 & 12 must study that Language up to the end of Year 10. In Year 9 students will select one Year 9 subject that they will study for the whole year. It is essential that students have completed the introductory prerequisite subject in Year 7 or 8. This means that students need to think about which subjects they might like to do in Year 9 before choosing subjects on Line 6.
