From the Principal’s Desk………………
Dear St. Thomas Parents,
Thank you for your outstanding support of the chicken fundraiser! I am pleased to announce
that our profit was $1,328.64. A huge thanks goes to Holly Hickman for organizing everything
and to all that helped make it a success. The proceeds will be used for our playground project.
We have completed a needs assessment and we are currently developing renderings. Our goal
is to have the project completed by the end of the summer (2015).
Today, I enjoyed being able to give our remarkable students a small reward for their excellent
start to the school year. Because they have shown exemplary behaviors during Mass, while in
the classrooms, hallways, cafeteria and playground, I am giving them a “free” jeans day Monday, October 13th. The students may wear non-uniform tops, bottoms and shoes (please be
mindful of the standard guidelines p.78 of the student handbook).
Included in today’s white envelope is a survey about our website. I would appreciate your honest responses. As St. Thomas moves forward in the development of a new website, it is important for us to understand ways in which we can make our page more user friendly and functional. The survey should only take a few moments of your time and it would be helpful to have
them returned by Friday, October 10.
As you can see, several large projects are under way. St. Thomas is in the midst of growth and
in the coming weeks, more details of revisions, etc. for next year will be shared. Moving forward, I will be continually seeking input from you, your children and the faculty and staff so
that St. Thomas continues to thrive.
The Peace of Christ,
John Wiggans
Principal
Now finish the work,
so that your eager
willingness to do it
may be matched by
your completion of it,
according to your
means.

Market Day
Thank you to everyone who purchased Market Day this month and especially those
who purchased cookie dough. The cookie dough sale was exceptionally successful.
We exceeded our goal of selling 100 boxes of cookie dough by collectively selling
155 boxes. Each order increased our profits!
The $50.00 SCRIP of Choice winner is the Fackelman family who bought/sold 13
boxes of cookies. The pizza party goes to Mr. Joyce’s class who sold a total of 33
boxes of cookies.
