Runner Race Day Information

23 October 2014 • 4.30pm
Runner Information
Please review the following items available on the website: Safety Bulletin, Series Rules, and course and site maps.
Race Site and Transport
The course is located in the Xuihui Riverside district. The start is in the Xuhui Riverside Green Space, and the finish is at
Riverside Road. For the race route, please refer to the Course Map on our website.
We recommend that participants make use of public transportation to the event. By Metro, take Line 7 to Mid Longhua
Road stop.
Race Number
Make sure your company captain has given you the race number with your name on it. Complete the medical and
emergency information on the back of the race number. Pin your race number to the front of your shirt. Do not give
your race number to any other runner, even if you are unable to run.
Race Timing
The race will be timed using the ChronoTrack B-Tag timing system. Your race number contains a transponder (timing
chip) which is read by an antenna located in a mat on the ground at the start and finish lines. Your time will be recorded
beginning when you cross the start mat and ending when you cross the finish mat. It is important that all runners wear
the race number pinned in all four corners, unwrinkled, and uncovered, to insure recording an accurate time.
All recorded times will be listed in the race results on the jpmorgan.com/cc website. B-tags are disposable. You may
deposit your bib number in one of the specially marked recycling bins near the finish.
The Start
The race start is in the Xuhui Riverside Green Space.
This is a voluntary seeded event, which means that participants should line up according to their expected running
time. Runners with red bibs should follow the yellow signs at the form up area to the front of the start. The first rows of
the start will be reserved for fast racers. Runners and joggers should line up behind the runners with red bibs, and
walkers should line up at the rear of the field. There will be multiple wave starts at intervals of 5 minutes. This will
ensure that the race runs smoothly and will be a more enjoyable experience for all.
Clothing Storage
A baggage deposit will be available near the start. Please ensure all valuables are removed prior to checking in
baggage. Organisers will not be held responsible for any lost items.
Company Meeting Place
Your Company Captain will notify you of your post-race meeting place prior to race night. The public address
announcer will not be able to announce company meeting locations. Gear check, hospitality tents and gathering areas
will all be located at Xuhui Riverside Green Space.
Race Day Notes
Check the website, www.jpmorgan.com/cc, on race day for last-minute messages to runners. Announcements will be
made throughout race evening. Be sure to listen for any last-minute changes.
For the safety of everyone in the race, roller skates, roller skis, rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, pushchairs, baby
joggers and animals are prohibited on the route. Anyone who violates this rule risks disqualification for his/her entire
team.
The top five male and female finishers will be the first five eligible runners of each sex to cross the finish line.
Drink plenty of water BEFORE the race. Water stations will be available at the start, finish area and along the course.
Refreshments will be distributed to all runners in the finish chute following the race.
Information booths, toilets and clothing storage (as per above), are all available at the race village. An aid station will
be available at the finish. A map of the race site is available on the website.
Bags must not be left unattended. Please use the mobile clothing storage facility. Any bags left unattended will be
removed and placed in lost property. Please note organisers will not be held responsible for any lost items, so please
remove all valuables before check in.
Kindly remember to dispose all recyclable materials into the recycling bins provided for you on site.
T-shirts and Finisher Bags
A Finisher Bag and your finisher t-shirt can be collected in the t-shirt and goodie bag distribution area, past the finish
line. The pull-tag on the race number must be handed in to receive your finisher t-shirt.
Medical
Medical staff will be available in the Medical Marquee at the finish line as well as on the course. An additional medical
post is available in the hospitality village for minor injuries. If you do not feel well, please stop running and seek
medical assistance. If it is a hot day and you have not trained properly or if you are on any type of medication, please
do not run. See the Safety Bulletin for additional information.
Portable Toilets
Portaloos are available throughout the race site.

Awards will be presented to the T-shirt Contest winners, the team with the largest participation, and the first place
finishers during the Awards Ceremony at approximately 5.45pm on the main stage located in at the hospitality village.
