Coming from the City, you can board the special event buses between 4:00pm and 6:00pm from Elizabeth Street and Martin Place, Elizabeth Street and St. James Station, and Elizabeth Street near Bathurst Street. From here they will run direct to Centennial Park. We recommended leaving the City before 5:30pm to ensure you arrive at the race site on time for the race start. If you arrive by taxi, alight at the edge of the Park and walk from there. Paddington Gates are closest to the event site. There will be no parking for participants within Centennial Park. Participants are strongly encouraged to use public transport wherever possible. Those who need to drive should park in the Entertainment Quarter parking and take the free event shuttle bus into Centennial Park, which will drop you close to the race site. Show your race bib at the Entertainment Quarter Parking - Moore Park Entry (via Errol Flynn Boulevard) for a $12 flat rate. Bike parking will be available for up to 250 bikes inside the event site. Enter via Paddington Gates, make your way into the event site and to the left of the finish chute. The bike parking will be situated at the beginning of the line of Corporate Hospitality marquees. A lock is required to secure your bike. Race Day Security • Please note that baggage check will be available at the event. One small bag or backpack suitable for a change of clothes is appropriate. Do not leave any other items unattended at the event at any time. Thank you for your advance planning. • No bags or containers of any size will be allowed on the race course, as ample water will be provided at the start and at various water stations. • Only persons with running numbers will be allowed in the start form-up area. • If you see something suspicious, please report it immediately to any credentialed J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge official. Race Numbers Make sure your Company Captain has given you the bib number with your name on it. Complete the medical and emergency information on the back of the bib number. Pin your bib number on the front of your shirt. Do not give your number to another runner, even if you are unable to run. Race Timing The race will be timed using the ChronoTrack B-Tag timing system. Your race number contains a transponder (timing chip) which is read by an antenna located in a mat on the ground at the start and finish lines. Your time will be recorded beginning when you cross the start mat and ending when you cross the finish mat. It is important that all runners wear the race number pinned in all four corners, unwrinkled, and uncovered, to insure recording an accurate time. All recorded times will be listed in the race results on the jpmorgan.com/cc website. B-tags are disposable. You may deposit your bib number in one of rubbish bins near the finish. Should you forget your race number and timing chip on race night, please visit the Information Tent from 5.00p.m. Should you lose your race number during the race, please speak to a timing official at the end of the race to ensure that an accurate time can be recorded. Race Start A wave start will be used to begin the race. Runners will be assigned a particular colour bib number depending on their estimated finish time. Runners should line up in the start area that corresponds to the colour of their bib number. This will ensure the race runs smoothly and will be a more enjoyable experience for all. Please follow the directional signage to your start area. See the site map for the start area locations. All runners must start the race on time. The start line will be closed 10 minutes after the last wave leaves the start. Company Gathering Area Your Company Captain will notify you of your team’s meeting area prior to race night. The public address announcer will not be able to announce company meeting locations. Race Day Notes 1. Check the website, www.jpmorgan.com/cc, on race day for last-minute messages to runners. Announcements will be made throughout race evening. Be sure to listen for any last-minute changes. 2. The race starts on Grand Drive between Hamilton Drive and Loch Avenue and heads north towards the Paddington Gates. After making a loop through the park, it finishes within the Parade Grounds. See the Location/Course map for the race location and course layout. Distance markers are positioned at each kilometre. 3. Runners, drink plenty of water before the race. Aid stations and water will be available along the course, and at the finish. Refreshments will be available after the race. 4. For the safety of everyone in the race, roller skates, roller skis, rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, strollers, baby joggers, and animals are prohibited on the course. Anyone who violates this rule risks disqualification for his/her entire team. 5. The changing rooms are situated within the event site. Portaloos are located behind the Corporate Hospitality Marquees and near the start area. Medical Medical staff will be available in the Medical Tent near the finish line as well as on the course. If you do not feel well, please stop running and seek medical assistance. If it is a hot day and you have not trained properly or if you are on any type of medication, please do not run. See the Safety Bulletin for additional information. T-Shirts Runners may pick up their finisher t-shirt from the distribution area after the race. T-shirts will not be distributed prior to the race start. You must present the tear-tag from your bib number to get a finisher tshirt.
