Psalm 5:1-4, 7-8
Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament.
Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to
you I pray.
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
In the morning I lay my requests before you and
wait expectantly.
For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness..
But I, by your great love, can come into your house;
In reverence I bow down toward your holy temple.
Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my
enemies—make your way straight before me.

Offering
Pastor Gary
Today, we are imagining the “open doors” of opportunity,
which the Lord sets before us. But here, at offering time, we
have the opportunity to give. May the Lord grant us the
grace to give generously, that Christ’s kingdom work may be
done!

MUMC Book Club
You’re invited to join an all church book club.
As you may remember, a few weeks ago it was announced that the
UMW’s 2014 focus…. from the national level to the local level is
human trafficking and domestic violence.
This book club is UMW sponsored, and Linda Coon will be leading
the group.
Our first book is about human trafficking written from a 13 year old
girl’s point of view.
We will read the book Sold by Patricia McCormick and meet on
Monday, November 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the gathering area.
(I’m hoping our group will be so large that we will have to move to
the sanctuary.)
So read the whole book by November 10, and meet here at the
church ready to share opinions, insights, and discoveries.
