A report is a description of an event or situation When you write a report you need to choose your words wisely. Writing clearly means making your story easy for the reader to understand. Being clear is also about the logical order in which you write things. Your report should be: Clear Concise Correct Outline of a report Writing concisely means keeping your sentences and text simple and to the point. 1 An introduction Write about: 2 Middle sections with heading detailing your research, ideas and discussion. Keep this at about 3 to 5 different topics--at the most. Who was involved What happened Where it took place When it happened Why it happened 3 Summary and/or conclusion A summary is a retelling of what you have reported on; a conclusion draws together your feelings or arguments about the topic to reach your final point of view. Writing correctly means sticking to the rules of the language you are using. It is important to spell words correctly. Correct punctuation is also important. It’s important to know all the facts and report them fully. If any details are missing or reported incorrectly then people will not take your report seriously.
