With the surgical microscope and colposcope the surgeon always has a perfect view of
the operating field. Assistants, OR nurses and students, however, often experience poor
visualization of the OR field.
KARL STORZ offers solutions from one source that provide surgical microscopes in all medical
disciplines with advanced FULL HD technology. To achieve optimal results, all components in
the video chain – from the camera to the monitor – must be of the highest quality.
The H3-M COVIEW® SPIESTM camera head for microscopy delivers FULL HD resolution
at 1920 × 1080p in the progressive scan mode (50p or 60p) for stunning visualization. In
addition, various SPIESTM visualization modes are available that allow use of the camera with
the IMAGE 1 SPIESTM camera control unit.
The striking feature of the H3-M COVIEW® SPIESTM camera is its easy installation and
handling. It delivers high-quality images in all kinds of situations without complicated and
time-consuming user interaction and setup.
KARL STORZ recommends the use of the separately available QUINTUS® TV adaptors to
connect the H3-M COVIEW® SPIESTM camera with the surgical microscopes and colposcopes.

• 3-Chip HD 16:9 progressive scan image sensors: The 3-chip sensor technology
provides a particularly natural color rendition. Crystal-clear images and smooth motion,
even if there is rapid movement, thanks to 50/60 Hz frame rate and progressive scan.
• 100% compatible with IMAGE 1 SPIESTM and IMAGE 1 HD CCU: Only one camera
control unit is required for microscopic or endoscopic procedures.

• C-MOUNT interface: For easy installation of the camera head on the QUINTUS® TV
