NOTICES
Remembrance Sunday
Sunday 10 November is Remembrance Sunday. The service that morning will
begin in quietly at 10.55am with the entry of the choir and clergy. The slightly
earlier start allows a period of quiet reflection before we stand for the formal two
minutes silence at 11am.
Visiting Preachers
On Advent Sunday the sermon will be given by The Revd Diane Fitzgerald Clark.
American by birth, and a graduate of Rhode Island University and the General
Theological Seminary, New York, she was ordained in 1986 and worked in
parishes in the USA until 1995 when she moved to the UK with her husband
Graham. She has been Chaplain to St Albans High School for Girls since 1999. Dr
Graham Clark, a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and Rockefeller
University, New York, is Reader in Molecular Parasitology at the London School
of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
On Sunday 16 November (Advent 3), the sermon will be given by Fr
James Campbell SJ, who is known to the Chaplain through their joint membership
of the General Committee of The Athenaeum.
