From the fine arts to new media, our Diploma of Visual Arts course will indulge your creative sensibilities while providing you with the necessary skills to work as a professional artist. The program covers core areas of visual culture and professional practice plus electives in the following studio areas: Painting; Printmaking; Drawing; Sculpture; Digital media; Ceramics. Articulation Options The Diploma is available as a discrete qualification only. Additional University Pathway Options Credit towards the following degree programs is available to graduates of the Diploma. Students must apply for University entry through QTAC. Bachelor of Fine Arts (Griffith University) Students also have the opportunity to apply for direct entry into Griffith University through an interview process at the end of second year. Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) (Queensland University of Technology) Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) / Graduate Diploma in Education (Senior Years)(Queensland University of Technology) Bachelor of Creative Arts (University of Southern Queensland) Diploma graduates will receive a minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 82 (OP equivalent 10). QUT and Griffith University will give 5 bonus rank points bringing a graduate's TER to 87 (OP equivalent 8). This qualification is eligible for the Commonwealth VET FEE-HELP loan scheme. Non school-leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies. All applicants must submit a folio.
