Course details
If you are interested in a career in the justice sector, have an interest in law enforcement, a desire to make a
difference, and a strong people focus, then consider a Certificate IV in Justice Studies qualification. This program
will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge required to seek pre-selection into the Queensland Police
Service. Learn to identify and apply the legal framework, communicate with clients on justice-related issues,
prepare court documentation, analyse social justice issues, gather information through interviews, and analyse and
present research information.

Entry requirements
The entry requirements for this program are;
successful completion of BSB31007 Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal)
OR
any Certificate III from the Business Services Training Package
OR
completion of Year 12 or equivalent with a sound achievement in English
OR
relevant work or life experience in the business or justice fields.
Participants (in both the short course and the full qualification) should also have the following language, literacy
and numeracy skills:
oral and written communication skills sufficient to clarify instructions and read and understand manuals and
reports
interpersonal skills sufficient to acknowledge and respond to a wide range of views and relate to persons from
differing cultural, social and religious backgrounds
problem solving skills required to fulfill job roles
ability to perform basic numeric calculations
ability to use computers
a good proficiency in all aspects of English
