The ZAKOS SHIP TOOLS CALCULATION is a fourth generation Integrated software package for the Cargo calculation of a Tanker / Cargo Ship. The package is a menu driven and does not require any previous experience on the use of computers. The ZAKOS OIL CALCULATION has been designed and is ideally suited to assist Surveyors Ship’s Officers for the Cargo / Bunker calculation of a Tanker / Cargo Ship. 2 2. FUNCTIONS : From the Main Screen move the mouse pointer at any ( Calculation Icon ) or ( Functions Buttons ) to make selection then click Below we describe the program execution for the 6 ( Calculations ). 3 TANKER SHIP : Click the Tanker Calculation icon and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure : 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. The Chemical Cargoes which are listed in the table is only for symbolical purpose.. 6 LNG SHIP: Click the LNG Calculation icon and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure : Select Operation Mode from the Table List e.g. Loading ή Unloading Type Volume Type Temperature (-150 - -170 ) e.g. ( m3) e.g. °C = = 122413.000 -160.4 At the Table and on the column (Molar Fraction ) : Type the Molar Fraction of each Component. Must type the ( 11 ) Component even with zero value So, when all Molar Fraction are completed then Density, Weight και BTU will be calculated automaticaly. The example which is shown is only for symbolical purpose. 7 The Screen shown below is the continuation of the LNG calculation 8 BUNKER VOYAGE CALCULATION : Click the Bunker Voy.Calculation icon and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure : Type Ship Data fields Type Edit Voyage Data Table Type Distances in Voyage Calculation Table Type FO/DO in Receive Bunkers at Each leg Table Click to clear the calculation Click to Print Click to view the Demo Example Click to terminate the program and exit to Main Screen The procedure described above will be carried out so many times as you wish. 9 CARGO DRAFT SURVEY CALCULATION : Click the Cargo Draft SurveyCalculation icon and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure 1: Click this button in order to select/type ship’s info Select Ship’s Draft Units Select Ship’s Weight Units Select Ship’s LCG Calc. position Select Ship’s P/P Correction mode Type Light Ship Weight Type Ship’s LBP For P/P Correction : Select Ship’s Draft Marks position Type Draft Marks Distance When finished the above then Click this button where the following Window Screen will appear: 10 Procedure 2: Type Drafts FWD/MID/AFT Port/Sbtd When all Draft fields completed and the Mean of Means displayed then Click this button where the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure 2: Start typing all fields for Drafts, Displ. TPC, LCF, MTC from Ship’s Hydrostatic Table When completed click the button [ Apply Interpolations ] then Click this button where the following Window Screen will appear: 11 Procedure 3: Type Drafts Dock Density Type Previous Displacement ( if this one is your Final Draft Survey ) Type FO/DO/FW etc. When all fields completedthen then Click this button where the following Window Screen will appear: Click this button to Print 12 Click this button where the following Window Screen will appear: Use Up / Down Arrow to read the help instructions Example buttons Click Metric for Metrc units Draft Survey Example Click Ft.inch for Imperial units Draft Survey Example Click to clear the Draft Survey calculation Click to terminate the program and exit to Main Screen 13 STOWAGE FACTOR CONVERSION : Click this button and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure : Select Stowage Factor from Table List e.g. Ft3 / LT Type the Stowage Factor e.g. 45 Click for Factors calculation Click to clear the calculation Click to terminate the program and exit to Main Screen The procedure described above will be carried out so many times as you wish. 14 UNIT CONVERSION : Click this button and the following Window Screen will appear: Procedure for Unit Conversion : Select Conversion Mode one of the 6 selection of the Select Conversions button e.g. in this example we selected Length. clicking the appropriate Start typying the Unit value in the column METERS Input . Moving the cursor at that cell column METERS Input with a Very Light Blue color and start typying the Unit value. Then, move the cursor to another cell in order the Results will be displayed. Start typying the columns ( Volume & Gravity API 60F ) and the API Average will be displayed.
