St Therese’s elegraph November 10, 2014 Issue 34 “Together, We Grow” School Website: Email: Phone: www.sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au [email protected] 5996 7525 From the Principal…. IMPORTANT DATES Dear parents, Tue — 11th November Why do you send your children to St Therese’s? I ask this question when parents apply for enrolment of their children. I generally hear reference to values, community feel, discipline, the extra care given by staff, the school’s good name etc. All these things, which are true and vitally important, are the direct result of our Catholic Faith. We present decent values because of our belief in the Gospel message and in the person of Jesus Christ; we have a sense of community because of our need to treat people as Christ did and that wherever two or more are gathered in Christ’s name, He is present. Being a Catholic school isn’t about being named after a saint or about having crucifixes on the wall; its about being Christ to others. It‘s about providing high quality education. It’s worth a thought. Remembrance Day. Wed — 12th November Mass at 9:15am. Come and celebrate Mass with the Juniors (Prep—Yr 2) in St Therese’s Chapel. Year Six students will be able to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation from 10am onwards. On Friday, after school, we had a working bee to tidy up the grounds. We painted, planted, shovelled, raked, dug and swept. We were gone by 6:30pm and the place looked th so much better for it. My thanks go to Jess and Matt Paynter, Mel Rawoteea, Lindy and Mal Fri — 14 November Tuffnell, Luis Lineros, Katherine and Ronnie Roch, Damien Green and Paul Cowan (along JobCo.
