More than 76 Cabri G2s have now been delivered worldwide, including the first
aircraft in China following certification there earlier this summer. Guimbal's
Chinese distributor, X Square, will use the first two Cabri G2s for pilot training and
marketing, but has already placed orders for at least a further 8 aircraft. Guimbal
currently has an order backlog for 60 Cabri G2s but is currently increasing
production to three aircraft per month.
CopterSafety in Helisinki has commissioned a new AgustaWestland AW139 Full
Flight Simulator (FFS), approved to Level D certification standard by the European
Aviation Safety Agency. Jointly developed with CAE, the new CAE 3000 FFS is
based on the AgustaWestland data package and installed at the Finnair Flight
Academy next to Helsinki Airport.
CopterSafety is a Finnish company with key personnel experienced in the
area of advanced helicopter training. The company also conducts more specialised
courses, such as night vision goggles training. The new simulator is available for
both wet and dry lease use, as of 1 October.

Bell Helicopter announced on 4
September the delivery of a VIP
configured Bell 407GX and Model 429
to two private Russian customers for
corporate operations. The company has
also recently delivered an air-medical
configured Model 407GX to HeliDrive,
for emergency medical service missions
in the Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad
region.
Orders for two more Model
407GX have also been received from
private Russian customers, whilst the
civil aviation authority has now
approved the Model 429WLG variant
for wheeled landing gear operations.
Kazakhstan's largest helicopter
operator, Euro-Asia Air is set to be sold
to private investors early next year, with
100 percent of the shares offered for
sale through an open two-stage
competition. The market value of the
company is currently estimated at
Kazak Tenge 19.7 billion ($104.5
million).
Euro-Asia Air is a subsidiary of
the national Kaz Munay Gas JSC
company and in 2013 achieved a net
profit of Tenge 741 million, on revenues
of Tenge 7.8 billion. The company
currently operates a mixed helicopter
fleet including the Airbus Helicopters
AS365N3, AgustaWestland AW139 and
MilMi-8, as well as a number of fixedwing aircraft operating from a hub at
Atyrau airport.
