Thank You Thank you to the senior class for doing a great job leading at school Mass for this week. Library News Non-fiction books were read by all of the classes this week. Most students were able to easily tell the difference between 11/14/14 fiction and non-fiction. In addition, they were quite intrigued by the topics. It is important that our students also read non- fiction literature since it is a big part of the Common Core Standards as we work to read for information. We read the following: D.K.-Eddie and Ellie’s Opposites…At the Farm Kindergarten-What Does It Do? Tractor 1st-Machines at Work: Fire Trucks 2nd- What Does It Do? Ambulance 3rd- Dolphin Baby 4th- Mountain Lion Attack 5th- We learned about databases and what is available in mel.org as we begin our reports about explorers Give Thanks! Give Blood! The St. Patrick School chapter of the National Honor Society is hosting a Red Cross blood drive on November 18th from 10:00am to 4:15pm in the St. Patrick Parish Hall.
