REFLECTIONS 2014‐2015: Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression. The Reflections theme for 2014‐2015 is 'The World Would be a Better Place If...' There are 6 categories, literature, music composition, dance choreography, photography, visual arts, and film/video production. You can enter in as many categories you like and as many times as you like. All rules and entry forms can be viewed and downloaded from http://www.txpta.org/programs/ Entries can be turned in at the front office. The DUE DATE has been extended to TODAY, November 21st. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can be reached via e‐mail at [email protected]. BOOK DRIVE: The book club is hosting a book drive the week after Thanksgiving break (12/1 – 12/5). If you clean out your closets and find new or gently used books that need a new home, please consider donating them. The books will be given to the Retired Teachers’ Association, Plano Chapter, who will re‐gift them to needy elementary children. Many of these youngsters have never owned a book of their own! We accept young adult and adult level books, too! Drop boxes for your donations will be located in the library, the Fish Bowl, the counseling office, the faculty lounges, and in these English teachers’ classes: Arnold (A117), Birdsell (A116), Bourgeois (A119), and Cawthon (A113). PSHS CANNED FOOD DRIVE: WILDCATS! It is that time of year to help other families in our community by donating canned goods to Plano Santas Organization. Please bring your donations to your 4th Period Class and earn prizes throughout the canned food drive with a grand prize at the end! Any non‐
perishable item is acceptable (NO glass containers, please). Deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 3rd. Our goal is 3000…Let's show how giving Plano Senior High is!!! We can do this! WILDCAT NATION!!!!
