Hosted by Multicultural and Diversity Librarian, Mare Maticevski, who has a background in teaching. Anyone is welcome. Colouring-in activities will be provided for children while their parents take part. Sessions each week will be partly themed, with flexibility for conversations to take their own course. The project has a small participatory element, a bit of handy work with fuzzy felt which only takes a minute and is fun for all ages. The Fellaz are a group of 7 Aboriginal men from Ballarat who create art together and have developed their own unique style. The kids explored aboriginal stories of the Yarra and worked with the Fellaz to learn their techniques. Using stamps, paint and patterns they created 2-metre high animals.
