Introduction
It is a great pleasure to announce the 4th International Conference on Mineral Resources in the Republic
of Serbia, “A Driving Force of Economic Development”, which will take place at the Metropol Palace
Hotel in Belgrade on Monday, November 17, 2014.
The 4th International Conference on Mineral Resources in the Republic of Serbia will cover major topics
on the mineral resources in the country, the new Government Policies in the Mining Sector - where do
we stand with New Legislation, possibilities for Mining and Sustainable Development, the modernization
of the Coal Mining Sector, the Safety and Health Issues concerning the mines as a workplace and
possibilities for attracting fresh investments in the Mining sector, among others.
Conferences were organized in Greece and Serbia in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and successfully
covered the crucial issues that relate to the contribution of mineral wealth in the social and economic
prosperity of the countries. More than 300 attendees participated at each event.
