REX’S MESSAGE
GOING FOR GOLD
Have you ever heard of a philosophy called Olympism? Set forth by the Olympic
governing body, “Olympism is a philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a
balanced whole the qualities of body, will and mind. Blending sport with culture
and education, Olympism seeks to create a way of life based on the joy found
in effort, the educational value of good example and respect for universal
fundamental ethical principles.”
There are three values that you can see
clearly demonstrated by competitors
at the Olympic Games based on this
philosophy:
1. Striving for excellence
2. Demonstrating respect
3. Celebrating competition
The world comes together to compete
against each other, to give it our all, to
pit our best against another’s best and
strive to win. Then when the flame is
extinguished, the records are set and the
friendships are cemented, we head home
to start the hard work of preparing to
compete again.
Quote from
www.olympic.org/the-ioc/promote-olympism
Forever | August 2016
Similarly, as global entrepreneurs, we
must possess the values that sports
encourage: teamwork, perseverance,
dedication and compassion. While we
celebrate the Olympics just once every
four years, we work every day to keep
these values alive. With Forever, it’s not
only about qualifying for Eagle Manager
or receiving a Chairman’s Bonus cheque;
it’s about the journey to becoming who
we are as Forever Business Owners,
and improving the lives of people around
the world. We forge friendships, strive
for excellence and, most certainly, we
demonstrate respect and care for the
company, the products and our fellow
FBOs through our actions and support.
Being an Olympic athlete may never have been on my list of achievements,
but being a Forever Business Owner is. I’m proud of that because I know FBOs
around the world foster the same
principles I do. Just like the athletes we
look up to, we train every day for the
events that affect our businesses and our lives. We learn through failure, take
joy in the hard work it takes to get to the top, and seek recognition when we
know we’ve gotten the gold. Your gold
medal – a smile and your Forever pin – is something you can wear everywhere
you go.

Twenty-eight year old Craig has an impressive career in the sports
industry. He is constantly rubbing shoulders with top footballers and his job is the envy of many. But Craig knows he can aim even higher…
I get along with people very easily so
from a young age I was a bit of a natural
networker. I never quite realised that
just being friendly could open so many
doors, but by being so, I managed to
make some great contacts. This led
to an incredible job offer: to become
the private chef for my country’s
(Wales’) football squad, FAW (Football
Association of Wales). I won't say I was
lucky because I don’t believe you just
‘get lucky’; I truly believe that life is what
you make of it. I think you create your
own luck and I'd manifested my way to
this point through my own actions. It
was my self-belief that led me to this job
and whilst working for FAW I managed
to network my way up to becoming the
personal private chef for the first team
QPR Football Squad – this is where I'm
currently working.
Initially I thought I was ‘lucky’ to be
working amongst footballers, but then
it dawned on me that these guys, the
footballers, who are just as equal as me
or you, were strutting into work every
morning and earning in excess of £50,000 per week. That's just shy of what I earn a year! Suddenly I began to
wonder why I wasn’t able to earn that
kind of money and that’s when I knew
I wouldn't always be a personal chef
for professional footballers; I needed a
backup plan. Fortunately, for me, I came
across Forever.
The Forever opportunity has shown me
that it is possible to earn a footballer’s
salary – the only thing stopping me
is me. Since joining I have developed amazing friends and a global business,
but as a person I feel as if I have
completely changed.
In fact, personal growth and
development has become my mission in
life, and I want to continue building upon
myself so that I can go from strength to
strength. This will benefit both me and
my team!
The secret to succeeding is helping
others and never taking your foot off
the gas; never look back and never
ask yourself, ‘what if it doesn't work?’
I am living proof that you can network
your way to success so make sure you
don’t hold back. Along the way you're
going to make some friends for life who
share your ambition and thrive on your
energy, and there's no feeling quite like
it. As they say, ‘teamwork makes the dream work’!
"The Forever

footballer’s salary
– the only thing
stopping me is me."

BOB’S MESSAGE
LOOK PAST THE
CHALLENGES
The summer months are a marvellous time for spending quality time with
friends and family, for exploring new countries, and for recharging your
batteries and getting energised.
For many people, their two-week holiday is
the thing they look forward to most of the
year. In fact, many people spend more time
planning their annual holiday than they do
planning their future. My theory is that this
is a consequence of how they view their
world; many people have only the allocated
number of holiday days that their boss gives
them – therefore they are precious and not
to be wasted. Imagine if we can help them
to see that, over time, working to build their
own business under the umbrella of Forever
will ultimately free them from this type of
restraint; in time and with hard work, even
financial freedom is possible. We can see
this from the very many examples we have
in the UK and Ireland.
Helping people to see the possibilities in
life rather than the challenges is a key skill
in becoming a great coach and mentor. We
need to help people to see past their current
set of circumstances, maybe to see past
the environment they currently live in, or to
help them overcome the pre-conditioning
they’ve received that does not serve them
well. I have just read a great article by
renowned author and business coach Brian
Tracy. Entitled ‘5 Reasons Why Most Don’t
Become Wealthy’, his article says that even
though we live in the most affluent times
in history, most people retire pretty broke
and having not fulfilled their dreams. Brian
considers why this may be:
Forever | August 2016
Reason one: most people don’t realise that
wealth is possible – they have not come
from wealth, most of their friends are not
wealthy, and most importantly, they never
develop a strategy to get wealthy!
Reason two: most people don’t decide
to do anything about it! There’s a lot of
truth in the saying, “If you keep doing what
you are doing, you will continue to get
what you have got.” Simply wishing and
hoping is not enough, you need to decide
to decide – interestingly this is a concept I
hear a lot from those giving testimonials at Success Express.
Reason three: procrastination and putting
off the things they know they should do.
You’ll hear things like, “I will start Monday!”,
“I will do it tomorrow,” etc., etc.
Reason four: not being prepared to pay
the price! Sometimes you have to give
up something or do things that seem
uncomfortable in order to move forward,
e.g. talking to people about products or the
opportunity, making phone calls, attending
meetings, business launches, etc. I truly
believe that if you do enough, appropriately,
of the correct focused activity for just a few
short years, you will achieve great success.
That has to be better than a forty-year plan
working for an employer and only having
leave days off!
Reason five: take the long view! It may not
always happen overnight, and you may get
some setbacks, but once you know the
rules and have mastered them you will truly
be in control of your destiny.
Forever continues to thrive and we love
celebrating your success – enjoy the
summer and I look forward to seeing you at Success Express.

A FUTURE IN FOREVER
Assistant Manager //

Forever Marine Mask
Nicola was fed up with juggling motherhood with an uninspiring
office job, so when she discovered a new opportunity whilst on
Facebook she decided to take the plunge…
I started my working life as a groom for
a well-known show-jumper. This for me
felt like a childhood dream had come true
but the reality hit me quite quickly when
I realised I had no time for my own horse
and it was no longer a hobby. I decided
to take a completely different path and
trained to be a hairdresser. Again, I
really enjoyed this and the years went
by, and when my husband and I had our
beautiful boys I went on maternity leave.
Unfortunately, when I tried to return to
work, I struggled to regain my clientele
and ended up working part-time in an
office just to put food on the table. I felt
trapped but I couldn't figure a way out.
One day I was looking through Facebook
and I came across an ad for the Forever
opportunity. I jumped straight in even
though I was unsure as to what I was
doing and where it would go; I just
followed what I was advised by my
upline Manager Hayley Cox. Hayley has
become one of my best friends and she
taught me, step by step, everything I
needed to do to get my business off the
ground. I soon realised the potential of
the business and I was hungry for what
it could mean for my family. And, within
only a few months, I was able to quit that
part-time office job!
One year on and I have two promotions
under my belt, I have a plan, and I can
choose my own future. I’m not saying
the road has been easy – there have
been many ups and downs along the
way – but now I feel as if I am heading
in the right direction. I’m now aiming for
Manager as achieving this position will
give my family more than just added
security; it will allow my husband, Billy, to
pursue some of his own personal dreams
and goals too.
I'm excited to see how far I can take my
dreams and I love that I can help others
who come into the business. I have a lot
to thank Forever for. It has opened me
up to things I never thought I would be
open to, and the people I have met are
the best people I have ever known. But
most of all I am so blessed to have time;
time to spend with my two young boys
(Thomas, five, and Matthew, two), and I
count my blessings every day.
"I have a lot to thank
Forever for. It has
opened me up
to things I never
thought I would be
open to, and the
people I have met
are the best people I have ever known."

Forever Lite Ultra
Olivia and her husband Mark live in Cornwall in a beautiful
‘chocolate box cottage’. They have three sons, aged seven, fifteen and nineteen, and their family means everything to them.
That’s why, in May 2014, they decided to make some changes…
We previously owned a five-star cleaning
business but I was diagnosed with a
chronic illness which meant I couldn't
continue. Mark then bought a coffee van
and this was great to start with as we had
the freedom to work with each other, but,
unfortunately, a rainy day would often
mean we’d make no money! Running
such an unstable business is really scary
when you've got a family to support so
Mark decided to get a job working with
young autistic adults as well.
Mark and I have been together for
nineteen years. I love him dearly, and
always support his entrepreneurial ideas,
but this time I declined the offer to be in
business with him. I feared failure and I
didn't want to let him or the family down.
However, things changed and three
weeks later I found myself loving it. We
had team members and customers, and
suddenly my reputation as a chatterbox
was something to be proud of – we really
felt as if we’d found our calling!
Then someone told us about the Forever
opportunity – when I say us I mean Mark
– and Mark saw that this could be a way
we could work together, work around
my health, the coffee van and around
the children. He saw an opportunity that
meant we could still be business owners
so he joined there and then – and then he
came to tell me about it!
Over the past year we have managed to
build a Manager-sized business and it
has been the most incredible, but also
harrowing, year of our lives. Our middle
son was very poorly and in May 2015 a
tumour in his hip bone was discovered.
This was eventually stabilised, grafted
and removed in July 2015. Eventually,
after a biopsy, it was discovered that he
had bone disease.
"We had team
members and
customers, and
suddenly my
reputation as a
chatterbox was
something to be
proud of – we really
felt as if we’d found
our calling!"
Forever | August 2016
Forever has enabled us to cope with the
situation by helping to keep us focused,
upbeat and positive, and we can never
be grateful enough; I honestly don't
believe we would've coped had we not
been working on our Forever business.
From day one Mark never saw anything
other than success. I may have doubted
myself but we never doubted the
business model and today we have a
growing business. Although it hasn't
always been easy, it has been worth
it. We’ve made the most incredible
friends and found support from many
people; Forever has given us self-belief,
self-worth, confidence, and personal
growth like I never believed was possible.

GLOBAL F.I.T. AMBASSADOR
MARCUS LEACH REFLECTS ON
HIS CLIMB UP MOUNT ELBRUS
AND WHAT HE’S LEARNT ALONG THE WAY.
"It’s about pushing ourselves in a thousand
small ways to ensure that when the time
comes, we have the ability to cope with far
greater obstacles."
Forever | August 2016
BELIEVE AND CONQUER 11
As I stand in base camp with snow gently
falling, I focus on my breathing and look at the sky to the distant summit of the mountain.
A line of black dots snake their way up
the face of the steep path that rises out
of camp and stretches high into the
distance before disappearing around a
corner. I wonder how I will ever make
it to the top as I look at the summit, a
seemingly impossible distance away.
There is a sense of familiarity about
the whole situation, the old shipping
containers that serve as bunk houses at
base camp, the creaking, rickety ski lift
that has seen better days and the harsh
cold wind that blows a fresh blanket of
snow over the scene in front of me. I’ve
been here before; I attempted to climb
this mountain last year, only I wasn’t
successful. I failed to achieve my goal.
Now, almost a year later, I am back in
Russia for a second attempt at climbing
Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe
at 5642m. Having not been able to reach
the summit last year, there is an element
of doubt in my mind, a little voice eats
away at what is an otherwise rock-solid
belief in my own ability, a belief that has
been built gradually over the years. But even that has been questioned in the
days leading up to the summit attempt,
thanks to the limiting beliefs of others.
My guide has repeatedly suggested that
it would not be wise for me to take on
a climb of two vertical kilometres from
base camp, but instead to take a snow
mobile further up the mountain and
reduce the amount of climbing involved.
In the ensuing discussions there came a
time where, despite all other arguments, I simply said I was going to back myself.
I knew what I was capable of, I knew how
far I could push my body and mind, and I
had been doing so every day for the past
two and a half years.
We often think of mental toughness
in relation to how we react to extreme
situations, our ability to bounce back
after going bankrupt, the character to
try again after another business idea has
failed or holding our life together whilst
grieving the loss of a family member.
There’s no doubting that these situations
will test our courage and perseverance,
but the mental toughness we need to
come through them is forged on a daily
basis. It’s about pushing ourselves in a
thousand small ways to ensure that when
the time comes, we have the ability to
cope with far greater obstacles.
Much like with my physical challenges
it’s the constant application to daily
training that ensures I can compete
and perform on the big stage. So often
people see the glory but they don’t know
the story behind it, the dedication and
commitment when nobody is watching.
One of the greatest examples of this
is the Olympics where we see athletes
competing for a matter of seconds in
some cases; we forget that four years of
hard work has been involved. It is these
four years of hard grind that has brought
them to the stage where they can
compete at that level.
My goal had been set long before I
arrived in Russia. Only now, in the dark of
night setting out from base camp on my
summit attempt with my climbing partner,
it had to be broken down into smaller
sections in order for me to mentally cope
with what lay ahead. The journey in front
of me was too long to simply focus on
the end point; I had to focus on one hour
of climbing at a time, the air growing
thinner with every step that I took, and
in doing so building my confidence with
minor successes. This accumulation of
smaller goals enabled me to believe that
the summit was possible as we edged
our way further up the mountain until
finally we knew we were within touching
distance of reaching it.
Much like those starting out on their
journey with Forever, it can sometimes
seem too big a step to imagine reaching
Manager let alone further along the
Marketing Plan to Senior, Soaring or
Sapphire Manager. So instead we need
to focus on the next position in the plan,
the first step on the mountain. Forever | August 2016
12 BELIEVE AND CONQUER
When I decided to embrace a life of
challenges I did so knowing that I would
need to develop myself physically, and
also to create a mindset that enables me
to overcome the greatest of obstacles. I needed to build my belief that I could
achieve great success, and the same
applies to building a business with
Forever. We need to expand our mindset and belief in order to achieve our long-term goals.
By starting out small and building up I
gradually stretched my body in a physical
sense, and I grew my mental belief
in what was possible. When I started
this journey I am now on, this life of
adventure and challenges, had someone
told me I would go on to climb Mont
Blanc and Mount Elbrus, or take on some of the hardest bike rides in Europe,
I would not have believed it was possible.
But by setting a series of goals designed
to continually force me to grow I was
eventually in a position to take on far
greater challenges than I first thought
I was capable of. But, such is life, it
hasn’t always been plain sailing and I
have had to handle setbacks and major
disappointments along the way.
"The greatest
mountains we must
conquer are those
within our minds,
but once we do so
there is no limit
to what we can
achieve in life – and in Forever."
Forever | August 2016
It may sound strange but I welcome
these setbacks for they help me to
develop in ways simply not possible
by always being successful. They force
me to look within, to identify areas of
weakness that need improving, to admit
that I might not be equipped with all of
the skills necessary at this moment in
time. It’s from such situations that I am
able to grow and develop into a better
person; remembering that just because I
am not in a position to achieve a certain
goal right away, it doesn’t mean I won’t
be able to achieve it in the future. Too
often we view failures as negatives,
when in fact they are the life lessons that
enable us to grow into the person that
can achieve far greater success.
The more open we are to failure and
being wrong, the greater our potential
is for improving our knowledge and skill
set. Mistakes and failures are an essential
element in our development, so rather
view them as part of our training in life. I have learnt more from my failures than
all of my success combined.
It’s often a fear of failing that holds us
back in the first place, this results in us
developing risk aversion which leads
to a scenario whereby we are safely
ensconced in our comfort zones for
the rest of our lives. In adopting this
‘playing-it-safe’ mentality, we never grow
and thus never reach our full potential. I
sometimes think about what would have
happened had I let the fear of failing for a
second time stop me from going back to
Russia. Those final steps to conquering
the mountain were filled with an almighty
sense of achievement, not just because
of the act of reaching the summit itself,
but because of all I had endured along
the way. The greatest mountains we must
conquer are those within our minds, but
once we do so there is no limit to what
we can achieve in life – and in Forever.

As a child I had high hopes and dreams: I wanted to become an
actress and I believed that my dream would come true. Then, as an
adult, I realised that you need to work hard to have a career!
I went to university to study events
management and media, but I only
lasted six months before quitting. I then
worked various different jobs across
many industries; I was a carer, a cleaner,
I worked in retail, I helped my dad run his
business, and I even worked in the city
on the money markets as a trader and
stockbroker, but I hated the commute.
I never stuck to anything for more than
a year and I was beginning to feel like
I would fail at pretty much everything I
tried. I just couldn’t find a job that excited me!
Then, in August 2013 I became a mother
to my son Beau and my priority was to
be an amazing mum. I was raised by my
grandparents – they had me from the age
of six months old – and although I was
quite difficult, my mother (grandmother)
didn’t stop showering me with love, time
and affection; this is what I wanted for
my son. That’s when I knew things had to change.
Forever | August 2016
In October 2014 I left an unhappy and
abusive relationship, I became a single
mother, homeless, without a car and
unable to work. It was the worst time I
have ever experienced and my life was
at rock bottom. I was introduced to
Forever by Dawn, a family friend, and
although she shared the success stories
with me I found it difficult to believe that
success could happen to someone like
me. Despite these feelings I felt as if this
opportunity could be my last chance
to make something of myself, to be the
mother I wanted to be; I wanted to make
my grandparents proud so I decided to go for it.
Almost two years on and, thanks to this
amazing company, I will be eternally
grateful for the life I have. I made
Manager in five months and this meant
I could finally move to a lovely home for
me and my son. Now I am able to spend
every single day making memories with
him, and I have renewed hopes and
dreams for the future, just like I did as a child.
My life is exciting again and I now have
a passion to help and inspire others. For
the first time in my life I am successful
and truly happy, my family are proud of
me and I am the mother I always wanted
to be. I couldn't be more excited about
the future.

FOREVER
AND DOT COM
Forever has been involved with Dot Com Children’s Foundation for
about two years, but as time has passed, our partnership with the
charity has evolved. In February 2016 (at the Success Express event
in London) we introduced Dot Com to the wider Forever family, and
since then our partnership has continued to grow.
Dot Com provides a unique safeguarding
programme that empowers children,
builds their self-worth and offers a safe
environment for them to have a voice. We may not be the same, but Forever
shares similar values to Dot Com and
we hope that you will consider getting
on board with the mission held by this
incredible charity.
It’s easy enough to understand why
a charity like Dot Com is important,
but when you hear, see and feel the
life-changing impact and emotion behind
that why, the charity’s work takes on a
whole new perspective – it becomes
tangible, necessary, and it demands a response.
Forever’s Editor, Kate Hodge, caught up
with Sharon Evans, CEO and founder of
Dot Com, at June’s Success Express. Kate also spoke to several inspirational
Forever Business Owners, and the stories they shared, the drive and
determination they demonstrated, was truly astonishing...
Forever | August 2016
16 DOT COM
KATE HODGE: HOW DID DOT COM BEGIN?
SHARON EVANS: Dot Com is actually
a cartoon character; she’s a friend to
children, and she is the friend that I
would have liked to have when I was
growing up. I grew up in a home where
I was being abused by my grandfather,
and my father was very violent. I used to
sit in school and think, ‘why does no-one
know this is happening to me?’ and ‘how
can I tell someone?’ but when you are a
child you just don’t know what to do.
About three years ago I was asked
by the police to help them with how
they communicate with children about
these very difficult issues, and that’s
really when I came up with the idea of
Dot Com. I thought that Dot Com, the
character, could be their friend, someone
that they feel able to talk to and share
things with, no matter how big or small.
KH: HOW DOES THE DOT COM
PROGRAMME WORK?
SE: The Dot Com programme gives
children their own personal journal. In
the journals, through what the children
write or draw, the teachers are able to
identify whether there are issues that the
children may need help with. Dot Com
provides the school with training on the
programme and we will remind them that
they need to inform their safeguarding
officer if they do get disclosures.
Although schools already have everything
in place to deal with disclosures, the
biggest problem is actually creating an
environment where children feel as if
they are able to make such disclosures.
The Dot Com programme empowers the
children; it gives them the communication
skills they need, it enables them to feel
as if they can trust, and it lets them
know that they will be believed. We do
have serious disclosures, and we do
have issues that are currently going
to court, but often the disclosures are
about bullying, bereavement, divorce –
all kinds of issues. In fact, they are the
kind of issues that affect us as adults
but children often do not have the skills
needed to cope.
Forever | August 2016
Sharon Evans, CEO of Dot Com
KH: HOW HAS FOREVER GOT
INVOLVED?
KH: WHAT IMPACT WILL CHALLENGE
1000 HAVE ON DOT COM?
SE: Our partnership is all about shared
values. We teach children how to value
themselves and how to live their life
through positive thinking and in Forever
there are a lot of inspirational people, role models, who have adopted positive mindsets.
SE: People in Forever who are doing the
Challenge 1000 are vital as the £1,000
they raise will help to provide the journals
and programme to 180 children for a
year. For a small school this is often the
entire school! In fact, some FBOs are even
raising the funds with a specific school
in mind. This could be because it’s their
child’s school, a primary school they
work at or are a governor of, something
like that. We have made some support
materials for FBOs to take to head
teachers at the schools they are interested
in nominating, and if the school is open
to the idea, we can then take over the
conversation. Often it is better for the
person who has an existing relationship
with the school to have that initial
conversation before Dot Com steps in.
Forever has actually been involved with
Dot Com for two years but as time has
gone on our partnership has grown and
we wanted to come up with a way that
would encourage a fundraising aspect to
the partnership. That’s when the idea of
Challenge 1000 was developed.
KH: WHAT IS CHALLENGE 1000?
SE: Challenge 1000 gives Forever
Business Owners one year to raise
£1,000 for Dot Com. All they have to do
is pledge to raise that amount by signing
up and pledging that they intend to do
it. We will give them a registration card
so that they’ve got something official
to show people when they are actively
fundraising, and then they’ve got the
year to do whatever they want to raise
the money. Some people have done just
one event and raised the money straight
away, and other people are doing a series of smaller things. One FBO that I
spoke to has been doing specific retail
events and donating the profit from those events – how amazing is that?!
KH: HOW CAN FBOS GET INVOLVED?
SE: To pledge, all FBOs need to do is
visit www.dotcomcf.org and complete
the form on the Challenge 1000 tab, or
they can visit our stand if we are at an
event. As a thank you, we will invite those
who complete the challenge to a Strictly
Cocktail Party at the House of Commons
on October 20th 2016. Lord Maclennan
will be the host and we currently have
about 150 places left to fill. We will also
arrange another party for any other FBOs
who complete after this date, so it’s not
too late to sign up and make a pledge.

MEET MYLES: AN INSPIRING
CHILD AWARD WINNER...
“I was given the award for my bravery because, when I was
eight years old my dad died. The programme was there to
support me, to lift me off my feet and get me back on the right
track. I think the programme should be spread so that other
children who have had a bad childhood can turn their life
around too.” – Myles, age 12.
Sharon says:
The ‘Inspiring Children Awards’ are
presented to children who have been an
inspiration to others. The circumstances
behind the award may differ, but usually
the award winners have demonstrated a
positive attitude, despite having to deal
with a difficult situation. These awards
are given to children who have been
nominated by their school and who are
on the Dot Com programme.
Myles, one of our award winners, was
on the verge of exclusion; he was on
the verge of being recruited into a gang,
and he was that close to being on a very
different path. But, when the programme
came into his school, his teachers were
able to identify the issue. Within a year,
by the school working with Myles and
his mum, Myles completely turned his
life around – that’s what we mean about
being inspiring to other children. It’s all
very well telling children that they can
change and make different choices, but
when there are actually children around
them that have made those different
choices, other children can see the
transformation first-hand. It’s about
children having the right attitude and
showing other children that although life is difficult, there is a way to deal with the issues that come their way.

FOREVER SPOTLIGHT
Sharon McGovern, Manager:
“I have always worked in the social
services sector, helping people who
have been abused, but I see my Forever
business as part of my long-term future.
Helping people through abuse is all
about mindset: helping people to think
positively in order to move forward, and
I just want to help as many people as I
can. My team are going to start doing
fundraising projects every month in order
to raise funds and awareness for Dot
Com, and I also hope to connect with
schools local to me (I live in Essex), and
also in my hometown of Liverpool.
‘Afraid’ is an autobiography about my life.
On the cover is a picture of me as a child.
I was four, and that was when I started
getting abused by my stepfather. People
may know that you’ve been abused but
they don’t actually know the real story.
My book is now in the early stages of
being made into a Hollywood movie
and what I want to do is put something
of the film’s profits back into Dot Com.
I genuinely believe that if Dot Com had
been there for me as a child I would’ve
had my escape at a much earlier age – I know I would’ve talked.”
FOREVER BUSINESS OWNERS
AND CHALLENGE 1000
Forever is so proud of our many Forever
Business Owners who have already
committed to raising £1,000 (and beyond!) for
Dot Com as part of Challenge 1000. We know
there are countless stories out there and
we’d love to hear what you’ve been doing so
please keep Forever and Dot Com updated
(email [email protected]). Here are some of
the stories and plans we have heard so far:
JASON YATES AND SARAH ASPINALL, MANAGERS: On May 28th 2016
a team of eighteen climbed Snowdon as part of the Challenge 1000...
JASON:
SARAH:
JASON:
“Some people wanted to kill us for
organising it but people did get more
and more enthusiastic during the climb!
Everyone on the team was different; for
some people it was the first time they’d
climbed a mountain, but for others they’d
done it a few times. Some people were
already doing Challenge 1000 and so
they were climbing Snowdon alongside
other things, but we collected sponsors
wherever we could.”
“I work in a school so I put up a
sponsorship form in the staff room and
loads of people from school decided to
sponsor me. I’m hoping to get Dot Com
into my school and Sharon from Dot Com
has given me materials to help do this. If
we can get them into the school we would
see the good they do first-hand. The
school is in the middle of a council estate
and there are lots of under-privileged
children who could benefit.”
“To see how confident Myles was
speaking up on stage at February’s
Success Express was fantastic, and to think that some of the children that
Sarah teaches could also experience this change in their lives – that would just be amazing. We have two young
boys ourselves so it’s important for us to do anything we can for the younger generation.”
Forever | August 2016
DOT COM 19
ELLIE COOPER, MANAGER:
“I was at February Success Express
when I first heard about Dot Com and
it really struck a chord with me. My
background is in primary school teaching
and I’ve worked in schools in deprived
areas; I’d see children coming to school
with burns on them, sometimes they’d
have no socks, no underwear, holes in
their shoes, things like that, so when I
heard about Dot Com I immediately felt
like I needed to get involved. It’s one
thing to know that abuse and neglect
happens, but it’s another thing to see
it first-hand! I pledged the £1,000 and
I’ve raised about £1,200 so far – I did a
spin-a-thon at my local gym (three hours
on a spin bike), and I climbed Mount
Snowdon. But I want to keep raising
money for the charity.”
TERESA CLARK, SUPERVISOR:
“After Success Express in February I
decided to take on Challenge 1000 as
I felt very passionate about the ethics
behind Dot Com. Unfortunately, as a
child, my three siblings and I were placed
in a children's home and as teenagers
we moved into a permanent foster
care home. Having a programme like
Dot Com's would have been extremely
beneficial to us, and the thought of
helping even one child is amazing.
I got to work and organised various
events including a summer ball. We
raised £2,000."
JASON WARD, MANAGER:
Jason organised an 80’s charity night
and managed to collect over £900 on
the night. He personally rounded it up to
£1,000 for Dot Com.
OLLIE BURGESS, SUPERVISOR:
Ollie, a retired police officer, donated
£1,009.99 of his police pension (in
homage to his police roots) to Dot Com
after hearing of the charity through Alison
Woodley’s and Gary Easter’s Masterclass
(Area 250). He had only been an FBO for
three weeks!
KAT MASSEY, SUPERVISOR:
Kat cut as many people’s hair as she
could in one day (haircut-a-thon) for free
– all she asked for was a donation for Dot
Com. She managed to raise over £475
that day.
NATASHA JONES, ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR:
Natasha is holding a charity variety show in aid of Dot Com.
DEBBIE AND DAVID PHILLIPS,
MANAGERS:
Debbie and David took part in the
Yachting Monthly Triangle Race as part of Challenge 1000.
"I’d see children
coming to school
with burns on
them, sometimes
they’d have
no socks, no
underwear, holes
in their shoes,
things like that,
so when I heard
about Dot Com I
immediately felt
like I needed to
get involved. It’s
one thing to know
that abuse and
neglect happens,
but it’s another
thing to see it
first-hand!"
- Ellie Cooper
We hope that you feel stirred to take part in Challenge 1000 and we know there are many more of you working hard to complete challenges so please do keep us in
the loop. Dot Com is also sharing stories so check out www.dotcomcf.org/thank-you-to-our-amazing-fundraisers for further inspiration.

20 SUCCESS EXPRESS
SEPTEMBER’S
SUCCESS EXPRESS
We are super-excited for this September’s Success Express as it
will be our first ever event in the North of England. This inspiring
weekend is due to take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th
September in Liverpool’s incredible Echo Arena, and it promises to
be a weekend to remember!
We are counting on lots of northern energy
but we hope that many Forever Business
Owners from all over England and Scotland will attend. Did you know that
Area 180 (Scotland) is a fundamental area
to Forever UK? Scotland has been one of
the three top areas for over a year and we
know that our English FBOs would love
to celebrate with all of our hardworking
Scottish FBOs. Looking forward to seeing
you all in Liverpool!
A little bit of Liverpool
Liverpool really is a city of creativity and we
aim to incorporate a taste of its dynamic
culture within Success Express. The Echo
Arena sits on the bank of the River Mersey
so the surrounding views are exceptional,
and we are so excited to be joined by
Made in Liverpool – an impressive and
well-known tribute band to the Beatles.
Made in Liverpool is now the resident band
of The Cavern Club, the famous club where
the Beatles were known to regularly play
throughout their career.
A celebration of success
If you’ve never been to Success Express
before you are in for a treat! Success
Express is an opportunity to celebrate
and network with thousands of Forever
Business Owners from across the UK,
and it is also a chance for Head Office
to formally acknowledge all of your
hard work. Forever absolutely loves
recognitions and we also love to hear
your stories, and Success Express is an
ideal opportunity for you to share yours –
sometimes even on stage!
Forever training
Success Express offers high quality
training delivered by remarkable Forever Business Owners that have
soared in the business. Some of
September’s training sessions will tie into
Forever’s festive campaign – a unique
and inspiring campaign that we will
be launching at the event. We are also
pleased to be joined by motivational
speaker Richard McCann. Richard will be delivering his renowned
‘I Can’ seminar and this session will
actually be filmed by an external
company called Just A Boy Films Ltd.
This filming is for a motion picture which
will be released worldwide and we're told
there will be many crowd shots. Make
sure you don't miss your chance to be a part of the film!
"Dreams happen when
you are wide awake
and in Forever! I
love events where
you can learn the
skills, increase your
level of belief and
decrease your level of
doubt, so let’s share
an amazing Success
Express weekend
on September 3rd
and 4th in Liverpool.
Join me and all the
successful leaders,
and you’ll take your
business to the next
level."

Forever | August 2016
RECOGNITION 23
Forever walked into the lives of Michelle and James Stonhill at a time
when they needed it the most. They may not have known it at the time,
but now they lead a very different and utterly incredible lifestyle thanks
to Forever. Michelle shares their story…
We had been running a promotions
business for a few years that operated
out of night clubs across the UK; our
income was very good and gave us the
things that most people strive for – the
house, the car, a couple of holidays every year – but we both felt like
something was missing and none of
those things made us truly happy.
We had dreams of seeing the world
and having more freedom, but in reality,
despite the income, what we were
doing would never give us what we
craved – after all, we had to work or we
wouldn't get paid! I was always on the
lookout for something that would make
us happier and more fulfilled, but I knew
I didn't want to go back to working for
someone else. After seven years in the
corporate world I knew all too well that
the sacrifices you have to make to be
successful in that environment are not
worth the end result.
One day, as I was scrolling through
Facebook feeling sorry for myself,
I noticed a status update from my
neighbour. It said she was looking for
people with leadership qualities who
wanted to earn extra money working
from home. Initially I thought it might be
a way for me to earn a bit on the side
and have something new and exciting to
focus on, but after watching the Business
Presentation I was bubbling with
excitement; I knew straight away that I
had my hands on something that was
going to change everything – and that’s
when I started to dream again.
James thought I was bonkers and had
no faith in the business; that was actually
the reaction I got from most people,
but I was determined to prove everyone
wrong. At the time I was working over
sixty hours a week so I had to plan my
time carefully. I took the plug out of the
TV, put every plan on hold, and I told
my family to buy a ticket to Success
Express because I knew I would be on
stage for Manager. I spoke to everyone I
knew about the business and if they said
no I asked them to try the products and
dropped a PUPP basket off. I used the
First Steps to Manager manual like it was
my business bible, and I taught my team
to do the same. All of this enabled me
to achieve Manager and, as predicted,
I was up on stage at the next Success
Express with all of my family watching.
Rex built this business with people in
mind and a vision to make lives better,
and we are grateful to him for giving us
the opportunity to live our dream. We
repay him by building our business from
the heart and ensuring people remain our
main motivation, and achieving Soaring
Manager really means that we have
begun the process of changing lives. We look forward to many years of helping
other people to reach their full potential
so that they may live a life that makes
them as happy as we are now.
After this James decided to join me
and we now run our business together;
we just do exactly what I did to get to
Manager over and over again, and we
do this while travelling the world with
complete peace of mind. We live in the
Canary Islands for most of the year
because the sun and sea make us happy,
and you can build the business from
anywhere as long as there are people
to share it with and a WIFI connection.
We truly feel as if we have achieved the
definition of freedom.
"Rex built this business with people in mind
and a vision to make lives better, and we are
grateful to him for giving us the opportunity
to live our dream. We repay him by building
our business from the heart and ensuring
people remain our main motivation"

28 BACK TO SCHOOL
BACK TO
SCHOOL TIPS
It’s natural for parents to worry about what their kids eat for lunch
and snack on at school, but one way you can stay on top of the
situation is to provide your child with their own packed lunch. School dinners may have improved considerably over recent years
but it is still very difficult to guarantee that your child is choosing
wisely! Below are a few more tips that might be worth considering as the autumn term approaches…
Start the day with a
power-packed breakfast
Avoid packaged and
processed foods
Introduce vitamins to their routine
Mornings may be a bit of a rush but
it’s essential that you make time
for a proper breakfast each day. A
nutritionally-balanced breakfast will
provide your child with the energy they
need to perform at school. Breakfast
could include eggs, whole grain toast
with Forever Bee Honey, porridge, or a
smoothie with fruit and yoghurt. If your
children eat cereal, make sure it has at
least 3g of fibre and less than 6g of sugar.
These foods tend to be high in sugar,
sodium and fats. Instead try to make
something fresh that includes a protein,
vegetables and fruit. Chicken breast on
wholemeal bread with yellow pepper
sticks and an apple makes for a delicious
packed lunch! Kids will also love the
fruity flavours of Forever Pomesteen
Power. This exotic drink is high in vitamin
C which contributes to the reduction of
tiredness and fatigue – perfect for that
post-lunch pick-me-up.
Nothing can beat a fresh and balanced
diet but introducing extra vitamins
and minerals through supplements is
a great way to ensure peace of mind.
Forever Kids is formulated without
artificial colours or preservatives and this
chewable multivitamin contains vitamins
A, C, D and B12, and calcium, iron and
zinc. N.B. Ages 3-6: two tablets per day
under adult supervision; ages 6 and up:
four tablets per day. Not suitable for
children under 3.

HEAD OFFICE...
EMILY SHORT
Time at Forever: One year.
Job role: Graphic Designer – I design and amend
literature, social posts, Success Express programmes
and any other design needs that are sent my way.
FLP.SOCIAL
What is your favourite Forever product and why? Aloe Propolis Creme – it makes my skin feel super-soft.
FLP.Social is a simple and easy-to-use social media
management tool designed to help and guide Forever
Business Owners on their journey through social
media. This new tool will give you access to a vast
library of pre-designed content, posts, product images,
motivational images, templates and videos which are
all compliant. You will also have the opportunity to
create your own content which will automatically be
compliance-checked as and when you create it. Anything

If you were to have your own theme tune, what song
would it be, and why?
FLP.Social will allow you to manage your Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts all in one place.
The platform will also save you time as you can plan and
schedule social media posts weeks in advance, all while
using compliant content. You will have access to training
and guidance to help you use the tool effectively, connect
with your audiences, drive more sales and attract more
opportunity leads. Every post you create can be linked
up to your website or retail shop which means you can
easily promote your business to your groups of followers.
The tool also features a content research area so you will
never be short of something great to share.
FLP.Social will also allow you to view statistics linked to
your social media activity. This will help you to improve
the effectiveness of your posts while providing relevant
feedback on what has and hasn’t worked on certain
platforms and within certain groups. This will give you
a better understanding of your audience and an idea of
what kind of social media post best connects with them.
You can easily sign up to FLP.Social using your contact
details and FBO ID. It will only take you a few minutes to
get started. It’s free to try for fourteen days and following
the trial period, the cost of use is £9.99 +VAT per month
(£7.99 +VAT per month if paid annually). We are really
excited about FLP.Social and we hope that you will see
this tool as an opportunity to build loyalty, trust and
brand-awareness through social media in a compliant
and effective way. To start using the platform, please visit http://flp.social.
Annie Lennox, Little Bird. I love these lyrics:
‘They always said that you knew best,
But this little bird's fallen out of that nest now,
I've got a feeling that it might have been blessed,
So I've just got to put these wings to test.’
What three things do you want to accomplish in life?
1. Open my own design studio.
2. Publish, write and illustrate my own line of children’s books.
3. Happiness.
Who inspires you and why?
Emma Thompson – I love her writing style and the way
she portrays archetypes. She’s haughty, smart and her
demeanour is inspirational.
