We recently announced that our retirement organization — has a new name: EMPOWER RetirementTM. You’re going to start seeing our new look and new name beginning January 5, 2015, when you call our service center, check your account on the Web or receive communications. We have updated questions and answers below to help you better understand how this change may impact you. What’s changing Q: A: Why are you introducing a new name? We believe our customers deserve a retirement company far better than what is available today. By combining three organizations — Great-West Financial Retirement Plan Services (formerly J.P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services), Great-West Financial and Putnam Retirement — under one company and name, we’ll be able to create premier retirement solutions for customers that surpass what each of these firms did individually. Q: A: Why was EMPOWER chosen as the name of the new organization? The name EMPOWER was selected because it demonstrates a commitment to empowering individuals to take charge of their own retirement future, and a spirit of confidence, partnership and progress. EMPOWER has a unique vision of the future of retirement. We define success as helping people like you work toward replacing – for life – the income they earned while working. Q: A: When will incorporating the new look and name for the new organization be completed? Starting in January, you’ll see our new name and look on your plan account’s Web site, when you call the service center and on many of the communications about your plan. The update is expected to be completed by March 2015. New materials will be created over the coming months and we will work with your plan sponsor to build a comprehensive plan to communicate all changes related to the new name to you. What isn’t changing? Q: A: How will the new name and look impact my service and my account(s)? There is no change to how your plan account is serviced and there is nothing you need to do. Q: A: Will the number I call for my retirement plan questions change? No. You will use the same phone number you used previously, but our service center representatives and automated telephone line will answer with a friendly, “EMPOWER Retirement.” You will still have access to your account 24 hours a day, seven days a week.* Representatives are available to answer your questions Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Central time. Q: A: Will the Web site address I go to for my retirement plan account change? No. Your account Web site address remains the same and you will continue to have access to your account 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Q: A: Does this mean my funds will change? There will be no impact to your plan’s fund lineup as a result of this change, and your account will remain invested as you have directed. Any changes to your investment lineup will be made at the direction of your company. Q: A: What’s going to happen to my money? Is it safe? This change does not impact your account and there is nothing you need to do as a result of it. Your account is held in a trust separate from the general assets of your company and your retirement plan service provider. This trust is set up for the sole * Access to the voice response system and/or any website may be limited or unavailable during periods of peak demand, market volatility, systems upgrades/maintenance or other reasons. 1 benefit of plan participants like you and your beneficiaries, as required by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). These assets are not subject to claims from creditors. Q: A: What happens now when I make transactions in my account? There have been no changes to the way you make transactions in your account. You can continue to conduct any transactions allowed under your plan’s rules via your plan’s Web site or the Call Center. Q: A: Has my organization been made aware of the announcement? We’ve notified all organizations for which we provide administrative services. Your company may also provide information to you internally, but we encourage you to continue to contact us for any questions you may have about your individual account or your company’s overall retirement plan.
