end draws in. The Furnishings, Interiors & Collectables auction continues
to evolve with more antique furniture being entered, and further online interest
developing. Buyers from as far as Australia, Russia and America continue to

This month has seen a large influx of toys & juvenilia for our inaugural specialist
online only toy sale. Collections ranging from Corgi, Hornby & Dinky, together

MOTORING MONTHLY WINTER DRAWS ON?
The recent, splendid summer is now gone. Are you ready for winter? Personally the answer is no! But we can
prepare our expensive and vital motor cars for the fray…I cannot drive in the wet and ice knowing that the car
has balding tyres…All confidence is the car’s ability to corner and brake disappears…Accordingly one must fit
good matching tyres, (at the correct pressures) all round. Have your windscreen washers helped by a non-freezing,
non-smear proprietry additive, Not washing-up liquid, which damages paintwork. Use the right anti-freeze, care here
as some can seriously damage the health of aluminium engine parts. Don’t mix them either, also use only as much
anti-freeze as required. If you live in Crymych there is little point in equipping your car to cope with Moscow
temperatures! Look at your air filter intake, is it marked for Summer or Winter? If so move it to winter soon.
Is your heater working OK on full blast, test all your controls. Carry a cloth in the car to clean the inside of the
windscreen, don’t forget your passenger’s side either, a co-driver can be helpful in fog. Ah! That brings me to a
very contentious point, that of when, and where not to use your high-intensity rear lights. Certainly in heavy rain
or thick fog during the daylight. However, do not be one of those critturs that blinds everyone behind him, or her,
at the first drop of rain. Further there is a fundamental fault in the concept of these lights because if you experience
a mix of ordinary and high intensity rear lamps there is a very real difficulty in judging distances. Often a bright
light can obscure a normal one that is nearer. And now we are seeing high level brake lights in the middle of
the rear of the car. Some of the owner fitted offerings are blinding…I suppose that if you give people a Christmas
tree then we must expect some to want to switch on all the lights!. My only comment to you little dazzlers is that
if a following car flashes his lights at you, please think before presuming that he is a ‘rude bugger’ who just wants
to elbow his way past! Certainly, on occasions, I have forgotten to switch off my high-intensity lamps. Carry a
scraper to clear snow or frost from the windows. All round! In an emergency a defunct credit card acts as a good
scraper. Also ensure that your windscreen wipers are working well. Chains I would leave to the experts because
they can damage car body-work, give the tyres a terrible bashing and are generally more trouble than they are
worth, unless the snow is deep and your journey really necessary. At all costs avoid patent clip-on contraptions.
I had some Norwegian gizmos that looked the part but it took three ruined tyres to realise that the damn things
tightened up on, and eventually punctured the tyres…I gave them away to some know-all who reckoned he
could make them work, which come to think of it, is how I acquired them in the first place…There is probably an
unfortunate out there, still waiting to have his tyres lacerated…ATS must owe an obscure Norwegian fortune!

YOU WILL NEED:
4 x skinless chicken breasts
1 red & 1 green pepper
Broccoli
Packet of bean sprouts
1 clove garlic finely chopped
2 tbs soy sauce
YOU WILL NEED:
2 ripe bananas
100g butter softened
2 eggs
2 tbs milk
100g light muscovado sugar
100g self-raising flour
2tsp ground cinnamon
YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

METHOD:
Put the butter in a 1 ltr baking dish and microwave on high
for 30-60 seconds until the butter has melted.
