INTRODUCTION
Eurotec have been committed suppliers to the fit-out and construction industry for over
20 years. We supply an immense range of products all over the uk on a next day delivery
basis.
At eurotec we take pride in our ability to provide a range of quality products and services
in an increasingly demanding and competitive marketplace.
We are continually aiming to improve our products and services through ongoing
investment, research and development.
Our aim is to always provide a ‘total supply solution’ for our customers. To do this we go
above and beyond the normal supply service by sourcing any new products required, by
supplying information and products to help reduce our customers and our environmental
impact. We also keep up to date with all health and safety requirements so that we can be
one step ahead of legislation and help advise our customers of any new requirements or
products to suit our customers needs.
Another service that we offer is the supply of site set up packs, these packs will contain
pre-approved standardised items required to start a site.
All eurotec staff are trained to work with customer satisfaction in mind, this means that
we will always do our upmost to supply our customer what they require when they
require it.

Uk wide 24/48 hour distribution preferably using own transportation network.

All of our deliveries will be on a free next
working day delivery basis where possible.
If there is an occurrence that holds up the
delivery i.e. Non stock items, the site manager
will be informed and kept regularly updated
by a member of staff from eurotec.
All of our vehicles have trackers fitted allowing
us to track their progress throughout their
scheduled routes.
Our operating times for despatching goods are
between 6am - 5:30pm. Timed deliveries are
available upon request, for an extra charge.

SERVICE LEVELS - STOCK LEVELS, CORE STOCK ITEMS
AND ORDERING
Core stock levels on focussed range of group products.
Eurotec will hold stocks of a focussed range of group products including all branded items and site
consumables as required. These items will have regular usage reports run on them to determine the
stock levels required to keep up with demand. Usage factors such as season/weather and new
projects will also be taken into account.
24 hour delivery for all core stock items.
All core stock items will be on a next day delivery basis, if for any reason the core stock items cannot
be delivered next day, due to factors beyond our control, one of eurotec’s dedicated staff members
will contact the site manager with details of when the items can be delivered or to offer an
alternative product that is suitable for purpose.
Ordering and order tracking
When sending an enquiry/order to eurotec it will be processed promptly and efficiently by eurotec’s
staff, trained in the specific requirements of each customer. We can be contacted by phone; fax,
e-mail and through our website, each form of communication will be dealt with as quickly and
efficiently as possible. Eurotec’s office hours are 7:30am-6pm; out of hour contact numbers are
available at all times i.e. Mobile phone.
If you need to track an order, contact one of our customer service team, who will be able to find out if
it has been delivered or when it will be delivered. All of our vehicles have trackers fitted allowing us
to track their progress throughout their scheduled routes to give our customers all the information
required about their delivery.

PRODUCTION OF COMPANY SPECIFIC CORE PRODUCT BROCHURES
Eurotec’s graphic department will work with each company to set up a company specific product
brochure. This will be tailored to suit the needs of the company and will show all oroducts required,
branded and non-branded.
The brochure will also include company specific order-forms, tailored to suit the needs of each
company.
Both the brochure and the order-forms will be available in hard copy or electronically as required.

SERVICE LEVELS - H&S POSTERS
Provision of health and safety posters – gloves and eyewear.
Eurotec provide a wide range of health and safety posters. From standard hse posters to
bespoke product posters tailored to suit the requirements of each company.
Along with the posters, eurotec can also provide ‘tool box talks’ about any of the ppe
products on site when required. These talks will be carried out by professionals trained in
the specifications and health and safety requirements of each product.
If you require something more hands on than a poster, eurotec can create ppe boards.
These ppe boards can be printed with information about the products and have a sample
of each of the products actually attached to the board so that personnel can try them out
or test them for purpose as required.

We are proud to have been certified by the british standards institute (bsi) to the iso 9001
Quality standard for over 10 years, to the iso 14001 environmental standard for over 5 years
and more recently certified to both the iso 18001 health & safety standard and the 50001
Energy management standard (replacing 16001 sustainability standard). In fact Eurotec are one
of the first companies that have gained certification to the 50001 standard and one of only a
handful of companies that have been certified to all four standards.

BRANDING
Eurotec offer a complete in-house branding service. All items of corporate clothing and PPE
Can be branded with your company logo, site details or job roles on a next day basis.
Our eight/twelve thread embroidery machine that can produce full colour detailed embroidery
On most items of clothing. We also have heat seal machines and a digital printer/cutter to
Produce and apply permanent branded transfers onto clothing.
BRANDING
One of eurotec’s investments has been in an Inca Spyder
flat bed digital printer, capable of printing a wide range
of materials up to 3mx1.5m and 50mm thick. We hold a
vast stock of pre-cut signage material so that signage
can be available for next day delivery.
EUROTEC GRAPHICS TEAM
Eurotec’s graphics team are on hand to produce artwork
approvals for all branded items. These approvals
illustrate print restrictions, colour and layout taking
into account any company branding guidelines.

Safety Helmets
A safety helmet is required in any location where there
is a residual risk of a head injury from being struck by
falling objects, or where protection from a penetration
injury is required.
Each hat includes
- Maximum impact and side protection.
- Terylene cradle with highly absorbent
premium Hydro-Flock replaceable
sweatband.
- Optional unique ventilation system
which offers improved airflow.

Bump Caps
Bump caps do not offer sufficient protection from falling
objects, and as such must never be used where the
above residual risks remain.
Shelf Life
In order to comply with the necessary European
Standards (see Below),all safety helmets are stamped
with either the quarter or month, and the year that they
were manufactured.
If the helmets are stored in the boxed they were
delivered in and not exposed to extremes of
environment, then the shelf life of the helmet is not
limited. What is important to remember, however, is
that manufacturers recommend that the helmet must
not be in use 5 years after the date of manufacture.
Care and Maintenance
If required, a helmet may be cleaned with soap and
water and dried with a soft cloth. Never use abrasive
substances or solvents, and never store a helmet in
direct sunlight, or where it may come.
Into contact with chemicals
Operatives that wear safety helmets should inspect
them regularly, and if the shell has anything more than
superficial abrasions or scuffing, it must be replaced
with a new one.

HEARING PROTECION
uvex com4-fit - Disposable ear plug

The ‘X’ emboss in the end of the plug makes it
easy to remove while simultaneously reducing
the pressure in the wall part of the ear canal.
With its more compact ergonomic design, the
uvex com4-fit its comfortable for wearers with
narrower auditory canals. The com4-fit has a
sealed surface, preventing foreign bodies from penetrating
the plug. The soft foam offers real comfort, even when worn
for extended period. Can also be used in quieter environments.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 requires
that any persons working in noise levels between 80dBA
(the lower Action Level) and 85dBA (the Higher Action
Level) MUST be provided with suitable hearing protection,
on request. Where noise levels are in excess of 85dBA
(the Higher Action Level) the employer MUST provide
hearing protection and the employee MUST wear it.
The noise exposure limit value means that employees
MUST NOT be exposed to more than 87dBA, averaged
over an 8 hour period/shift.
Ear Defenders:
Are a traditional method of ear protection, Today's range
of 'defenders' cope with a very wide spectrum of industrial
noise hazards. It is important to study the attenuation
characteristics of each model, as they do vary in
performance across a range of sound frequencies.
Helmet Mounted Ear Defenders:
Afford head and ear protection in one. Today's models are
styled to be sensibly 'parked' out of the way at the side of
the helmet, when not in use.

Communication Head Sets
Ear defenders that incorporate communication systems
are available for people working over large areas within a
noisy environment.
Plugs:
Can be worn conveniently with all other PPE items. They
are easy to use, with attenuation, which often exceeds
that of ear defenders; although disposable, they provide a
good degree of protection, if worn correctly.
Flex and Corded Plugs
Flexi versions are favoured for carrying around the neck
when the hearing protection is not in use. Most plugs are
also available in a corded version.
Electronic Hearing Protection:
Is the latest in sound technology – hearing protectors
which amplify weak sounds whilst attenuating loud noises.
Standard Noise Reduction (SNR)
SNR is only a general means of comparing different
hearing protection. Generally, the higher the SNR number,
the better the performance of ear protection across a
range of noise frequencies. For example: a SNR of 30 may
not give a 30 decibel attenuation at all frequencies.
The figures associated with H, M and L indicate the level
of protection within the range of High, Medium, or
Low frequency noise. Examples for the wearer of ear
defenders where H=35, a high frequency noise of 100
decibels will drop to 65 decibels. Wearing the same ear
defenders, where M=25, a medium frequency noise of
100 decibels will drop to 75 decibels.

Selecting a Respirator
Workplace conditions, such as temperature, humidity and
work rate, can affect wearer comfort; so it is important to be
aware of the different respirator features that are available.
A respirator must allow you the freedom to communicate
easily with colleagues, and fit well with the rest of your safety
equipment and achieving a good face- fit is essential to the
level of protection afforded; a leaking respirator may feel
comfortable, but it is not much better than using no respirator
at all. Always select a respirator that meets the European
Standard, CE Marked, and offers you the right level of comfort
and protection; most importantly, ensure it is fitted correctly.

Fold Flat v’s Half Mask
Disposable respirators are typically white face masks with
two straps, and often have an exhalation valve for improved
comfort. They are also printed with 'EN: 149:2001', the CE
mark, and they are designed to provide effective protection
against fine respirable dusts, mists and metal fumes.
Nuisance Dust Masks and Gauze Pads do not meet the
European Standard for respirators (EN:149:2001), and are
not CE Marked; they do not have any of this important
information printed on the mask. They do not provide
protection against fine lung damaging dusts, and so cannot
be used as Personal Protective Equipment.
Fit Testing
Checking that a respirator provides an adequate seal to the
wearer's face has long been considered best practice, as
part of a general Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)
programme. Fit testing is a mandatory industry wide
requirement under the UK Asbestos Regulations, the Control
of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH),
and the supporting Approved Codes of Practice (ACoP),
Respirators with tight fitting facepieces include disposable
respirators, half masks and full face masks.
Fit testing should be carried out:
- On all wearers of RPE with tight fitting facepieces where
fit testing has previously not been performed.
- During initial selection of RPE
Fit testing should be repeated at appropriate times such as;
- if the RPE wearer significantly loses or gains weight
- has major dental work
- sustains a major facial injury
- if a different size or model of RPE is specified
- if specified by the company policy e.g. repeated with
annual health surveillance check.
Eurotec employ trained Fit Testers that can visit site.
Two main methods of fit testing are available:
Qualitative fit testing
Qualitative fit tests provide a 'pass or fail' result, based on
the wearer detecting a test agent. They provide a subjective
measure of the quality of the seal of the facepiece to the wearer's
face and may be carried out by a suitably trained tester.
Quantitative fit testing
Quantitative fit tests give an objective measure of the seal
between the wearer's face and the facepiece; a fit factor
number is produced. These tests will normally be carried out
by a consultant. For more information or advise contact your

Choosing Safety Eyewear
When choosing the safety eyewear which is best
suited to day-to-day and task specific requirements,
the following information will be useful: the eyewear
should be marked with a standard code (BSEN:166);
each number represents a test which the product
has been subjected to. Every effort must always be
made to remove the hazards identified, at source,
as the result of a Workplace Risk Assessment;
however, where safety eyewear and task specific
eyewear (e.g. goggles) are necessary, the following
items should be considered:

Hazards fall into 4 main categories:
Mechanical – Flying debris, dust or molten metal.
Chemical – Fumes, gases or liquid splash.
Radiation – Heat (Infrared), Ultraviolet light or glare.

Products marked with this symbol comply with EN:388.
The numbers under the symbol represents the performance
level which is the level of resistance against:
- abrasion (performance index 1-4)
- blade cut (performance index 1-5)
- tears (performance index 1-4)
- punctures (performance index 1-4)
(Note: 1 is the lowest performance rating)
Cold Hazards – EN:511 Intermediate Protection
This symbol indicates that the product has been tested and
approved under EN:511 for appropriate protection against:
- connective cold
- contact cold
- permeability of water
Microbiological Hazards – EN:374-2 Advance protection
EN:374-2 requires a product to be resistant to penetration
by micro-organisms. Referred to as Acceptable Quality
Level (AQL).
Chemical Hazards – EN:374-3 Advanced Protection
Gloves approved to EN: 374-3 offer resistance to chemical
splashed and immersion. There are many chemicals in
use in the industry today. To ensure protection against
specific products or strengths, further information is
available by calling your local parker Merchanting depot or
Health and Safety Department.

Seamless nylon liner with a nitrile
coated foam palm. Absorption capacity
up to 4 times longer than many standard
foam nitrile gloves. The seamless nylon
liner and anatomical shape reduces
hand fatigue through enhanced
flexibility and breathability.

TYPE A Mechanical properties Advanced Protection
This standard specifies thermal performance for protective
gloves against heat and/or fire. EN: 374 Cat 2 approved
hand protection is not suitable to be used with chemicals
which pose a risk of mortal danger or a danger that may
seriously and irreversibly harm health. EN: 374 Cat 3
approved hand protection should be selected in accordance
with a risk assessment in these circumstances.
